When I hookup my iPhone to Itunes, it tells me there in an error on the Iphone and my Iphone just blinks. It looks like it wants to hook up but can't. Any suggestions? Thanks.

If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but "Deselect" any other software offered at the same time.

When I try to open itunes I get the following message MSCVR80.dll is missing. It twells me to reinstall the software. When I try to reinstall the install hangs up and tells me there is an error and I need to reinstall.

Try these steps:
There was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone (or another iOS device)
See the steps below for error codes 3000-3999.
Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.

Afternow upgrading for several days as i had problems with the last upgrade i finally last night upgraded. This morning the phone doesnt work and when i try to restore the backup done just before upgrading itunes tells me there is a fault with it. Welcome to the forums.
Looks like that error message does refer to encoding (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1645) but a problem could be that your video has to be reloaded into iDVD if you started the encoding process and then switched settings. You could start a new iDVD project, or try deleting encoded assets.
Let's start from the beginning -- what length of video are you trying to fit on the DVD? (this will indicate what encoding options you have). Double layer DVDs can be finicky and are used for video more than 2 hrs long.
Use good quality media -- Verbatim is often recommended around here, and I've used Sony DVD-R with good results.

IT FIXED MY ERRORS FOR INSTALLING AND UNINSTALLING. I WAS NOT ABLE TO PROPERLY UNINSTALL ITUNES/BONJOUR ECT.
THEN I REINSTALLED AND IT WORKED!
I have trying to updat my itunes for almost a year I think. So I am excited!!!!
