Help language

I have Logic Pro X installed on a MacBook Pro ...How do I change the HElp language from German to English.

There is a known weird bug that affects certain OS X/Mac setups.. and somehow forces the language of the built in help guide to a different language than intended.
However to test if you actually have to correct language selected...
Set your language in OS X's system preferences.... Language and Region
Restart your Mac afterwards and test
If you still have the same problem.. use the online version here instead... (Language changer can be found at the bottom of the righthand side..)
http://help.apple.com/logicpro/mac/10/
or download a pdf version found here...

  • Setting Help Language

    This is a very small problem but annoying.  I have installed CS6 and everything works fine except when I use Help it goes to the Arabic version on the Adobe site.  I have changed the language in Preferences but this does not affect the help.  Business Catalyst help is in English as is the Spry Framework help.  Any ideas on how to change the URL for help?

    When you launch Help, it normally opens your browser and takes you to the relevant pages on the internet. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click the link highlighted in the following screen shot:
    The link is at the bottom-right of the page, but only a small part of that line is clickable. It opens a menu that allows you to select your region (and therefore language).
    I don't know if it will fix the issue for you, but it's worth a shot.
    If it doesn't work, I think you'll need to contact Adobe technical support.
    As a workaround, you could bookmark the correct URL in your browser: http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/topics.html.

  • The help language is wrong

    H. I just upgraded the E71 software to 500.21.009. Text is correct everywhere, expect in the help section. The language there is some Slavic variant. Does anybody of you know how I can change this to Norwegian?

    Notaclue,
    The NI Service Manager is a display interface that shows the Citadel Server, the Time Synchronization Server and the Classified Ads Services running on your system. These services are a part of Logos, a National Instruments communication protocol. You can install it from: http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/954feaeea92d90918625674b00658b83/c1a484551a75614686256ae300734336?OpenDocument
    As for the help text not being installed properly. I think the best bet would be to try to unistall all versions of FP Explorer from the machine and then try to reinstall the FP Explorer 3.0.1 from:
    http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/954feaeea92d90918625674b00658b83/7c99c563a473bc8686256b520056a923?OpenDocument
    or you can install the latest FP Explorer 3.0.2 from: http:
    //digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/954feaeea92d90918625674b00658b83/f6b2ba037de6800986256c670054d93d?OpenDocument
    Hopefully it would install the help correctly.

  • JPDK customize/about/help language

    I installed JPDK from March into my Portal 3.0.7.6.2.
    Now when I have a Java-Portlet (e.g. Hello World - Servlet Renderer) on my page I get the wrong langauge for "customize", "about" and "help". I get always "Anpassen" ,... because my Jserv is started in a german environment. But when I start Jserv in an english envornment and I try to display a german page I get "customize", ...
    What's wrong? Or does this not work?

    This looks like a bug.
    The JPDK is attempting to the accept-language from the Portal request instead of the portal language that is sent as a parameter. If the accept-language is not passed by the portal then the JPDK will default to the JVM default language - the behaviour you are seeing.

    com.apple.helpd
    com.apple.helpviewer
    then log out/in and see if Help is now in English.

  • Change Help language

    My Help info is all in Chinese. How can i change it to English?

    Hi Henry, thanks for getting back to me!
    I'd recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
    If that doesn't resolve the issue, I would suggest Uninstalling the Printer Software.
    Once it is uninstalled, I would suggest putting your system into clean boot mode within the Microsoft configuration.  You can do so by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
    Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest reinstalling the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.
    Please let me know how that goes!
    Please click “Accept as Solution " if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
    Click the “Kudos, Thumbs Up" on the right to say “Thanks" for helping!

  • Adobe Online Help Launches in non english. How do I get it back to English

    I have a user who somehow managed to change her Photoshop Online help from English to Arabic. The photoshop menues are all in english as is the entire program. The install language is English. But if she clicks help - photoshop online help - the page opened inthe browser is the arabic page. How can I change her help language back so it goes to the english web pages?
    Only photoshop does this. Help for the other apps in the Creative Cloud all go to english pages.
    I've tried changing the region at the bottom of the page to United States. That had no impact.

    Perhaps she enabled Arabic with English type support or something liek that. without more details nobody can realyl know what's going on Could even be something configured oddly in teh browsert or it have an invalid cookie that changes the locale for the help.

  • How to implement a help feature in iView Tray

    How to implement a help feature in an iView Tray?

    Hi Gregor,
    Could the answer be connected to the class com.sapportals.portal.prt.component.SystemModes ?
    I can't really see how this class is called, but it gives the error message you are talking about
    The method doHelp for SP2 Patch3 is provided below
    public void doHelp(IPortalComponentRequest aRequest, IPortalComponentResponse aResponse)
            IPortalComponentContext context = aRequest.getComponentContext(IPOMConstants.DEFAULT_MODE);
            IPortalComponentProfile profile = context.getProfile();
            String helpName = profile.getProperty("com.sap.portal.iview.HelpName");
            if(helpName == null)
                helpName = profile.getProperty("HelpName");
            String helpURL = profile.getProperty("com.sap.portal.iview.HelpURL");
            String isolationMode = profile.getProperty("com.sap.portal.reserved.iview.IsolationMode");
            if(context != null)
                if(helpName != null)
                    String componentName = context.getComponentName();
                    Locale locale = aRequest.getLocale();
                    String language = locale.getLanguage();
                    String helpPath = "help/" + language + "/" + helpName;
                    IResource resource = aRequest.getResource(componentName, "page", helpPath);
                    if(resource.isAvailable())
                        aResponse.addResource(resource);
                    else
                        aResponse.write("<b>Sorry, no help available.</b>");
                } else
                if(helpURL != null && helpURL.length() > 0)
                    if(helpURL.startsWith("http://"))
                        if(isolationMode != null && isolationMode.equals("URL"))
                            HtmlIFrame frame = new HtmlIFrame();
                            frame.setStyle("width:100%; height: 100%;");
                            frame.setSrc(helpURL);
                            aResponse.write(frame.toString());
                    } else
                        String componentName = null;
                        if(helpURL.charAt(0) != '/')
                            componentName = context.getComponentName();
                        } else
                            int componentNameIndexEnd = helpURL.indexOf('/', 1);
                            componentName = helpURL.substring(1, componentNameIndexEnd);
                            helpURL = helpURL.substring(componentNameIndexEnd);
                        IResource resource = aRequest.getResource(componentName, "page", helpURL);
                        if(resource.isAvailable())
                            aResponse.addResource(resource);
                        else
                            aResponse.write("<b>Sorry, no help available.</b>");
                } else
                    aResponse.write("<b>Sorry, no help available.</b>");
    The doOnNodeReady method is also rather interesting. Perhaps another way to solve it?
    protected void doOnNodeReady(IPortalComponentRequest request, IEvent event)
            NodeMode nodeMode = request.getNode().getNodeMode();
            if(nodeMode == NodeMode.HELP_MODE)
                IPortalComponentContext context = request.getComponentContext(IPOMConstants.DEFAULT_MODE);
                IPortalComponentProfile profile = context.getProfile();
                String helpName = profile.getProperty("com.sap.portal.iview.HelpName");
                if(helpName == null)
                    helpName = profile.getProperty("HelpName");
                String helpURL = profile.getProperty("com.sap.portal.iview.HelpURL");
                String isolationMode = profile.getProperty("com.sap.portal.reserved.iview.IsolationMode");
                if(context != null && helpName == null && helpURL != null && helpURL.length() > 0 && (isolationMode != null && !isolationMode.equals("URL") || isolationMode == null) && helpURL.startsWith("http://"))
                    request.redirect(helpURL);

  • SAP help error

    Hi experts,
    We are facing problem in accessing the SAP help(from HELP> saplibrary) i m getting the message Browser starting and then error as follows:
    couldnot find file <path>/frameset.chm.
    Then i have copied the help data manually to a system and gave the path in the SR13 transaction. in some systems i am able to accesss the help but in some systems i m not getting the same.
    Then i have gone through the note: 857216 and made the corretions in registry, it worked again in some systems not in all the systems.
    Kindly suggest
    Thanks & regards,
    Kishore

    You can use transaction SR13 in SAP to point the help call to
    http://help.sap.com
    On the tab "PlainHtmlHttp" enter
    Variant = htmlhelpNT
    Platform = WN32
    Area = IWBHELP
    Server name = help.sap.com
    Path = saphelp_webas620sp25/helpdata (for example for the WAS620 help
    Language = EN
    Default = X
    Depending if you have WIN95 or WIN98 you need two entries in that table for
    Variant = htmlhelp95 or htmlhelp98
    Platform = WN32_95 or WN32_98
    are you by any chance using IE7? if this does not work, update SAPGUI with latest patch.
