Language Help Menu

My iTunes software is in spanish; however, help from Help Menu is in english; what is wrong? how can i change the menu help language? thanks.

Help Menu Language

Can anyone tell me how to get my help menu back to English. It has just recently changed to German

Thanks Chris; but in system prefs, my first language is spanish, and the itunes help is in english (menus are in spanish, too). All my apps are in spanish... ??

Help Menu Spotlight does no show in App if language is not English

I have an App that you can change the language of it, and restart it, and it will open in the desired language. I have folders for each language helps files in the bundle (as described by the apple help doc). However, only for the English language the system provided help menu is showing the Search bar or the Spotlight. If I open the app in a different language, Spotlight doesn't show in the help menu.
My OS language is English, could that be the reason?
I have also indexed the localized help files. I also added in the Info.plist the help folder name and the help folder main htm file but I am not sure if that is working correctly.
My help book is not very traditional, it is just an htm file.
I want spotlight to show in help menu for consistency, even if it doesn't search in help book.
At least it will look among the menu items, like it does in English.

SharePoint 2013 "Help Menu" not working (Sorry, the page you're looking for can't be found)

The Built in SharePoint 2013 Help Menu (?) on our Enterprise Farm for both the sites and Central
Admin does not work.
On Central Admin help the error comes back as: "Sorry, the page you're looking for can't be found".
The site collections Help menu gets the error :
"Unfortunately, help seems to be broken...
There aren't any help collections in the current language for the site you're using."
We have installed on all servers in the farm:
December 9, 2014 Cumulative Update for SharePoint Server 2013 package (build 15.0.4675.1000)
as well as the latest SharePoint update KB2768001 1/15/2013.

The URL for the site collections is https://servername...../_layouts/15/help.aspx?Lcid=1033&Key=HelpHome&ShowNav=true
We are only using Default English (US) language packs.
In the directory of
Directory of C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\HCCab\1033
there are cab files.
There are no pending upgrades on any SharePoint or SQL server, all other SharePoint components are working
normally.
Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm interested in getting the local help to work while this is offline, I saw the following in an article, did you do this and it still does not work for you?
"However the help won’t show up in
SharePoint 2013 sites. You need to change the Help Collection item property SharePoint
Version to15 to
make it work."

Spotlight / Language Input Menu Keyboard Shortcuts

In the Mouse & Keyboard Preference Pane, I disable the keyboard shortcuts for the Language Input Menu.
In addition, I try to change the keyboard shortcut for Spotlight from CMD-Space to Option-Space.
The only problem is that these prefrences reset themselves upon logout.
Is there any way to fix this, or can someone point me to the .plist file for keyboard shortcuts?

can someone explain in more detail on how to change the keyboard shortcut? on my old imac, i was able to switch languages by using cmd-spacebar.. but on my macbook, it seems to direct to another command.
how do i change that so i have a hotkey on my keyboard to change languages?? (i'm very tech. challenged, so baby steps would be goog >_<!!) thanks for the help!

You solved my problem. I did have one unused language defined, i thought i needed 2 languages but apparantly i don't, because my DVD now works fine.
It was very hard to trace the problem because the whole concept of languages and menus is still sort of unclear to me. I guess i need to do some studying on that. The DVDP manual sadly lacks a good tutorial on how to set up a multi-lingual DVD with multiple subtitle streams.
Now i've set up 2 menus for each version (the movie with and without subtitles), only one language and all is well.
One thing still puzzles me: The first version (the one with the unusued language) did play fine on a G4 with Panther. The white menus showed up on a G5 with Tiger and on my standalone DVD-players. So somehow Quicktime also plays a role in this. The fact that this is a DVD9 has nothing to do with it. Thanks again.

Backup 3.2 Help Menu won't help

When I try to use the Help menu using my Account I got an error message saying :
Help Viewer cannot open this content.
When I log in to my wife's account I can access Help.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, didn't help.
Need help please.

"From CAD" is very generic language. What CAD program? What file format?
The problem of faceted and segmented curves is pandemic among common CAD export formats (DWG, DXF). Illustrator isn't doing that. To avoid it, the source program will have to be able to export in a format that translates curves to splines which programs like Illustrator can read as Bezier curves. The source program's ability to do that depends on the program, and on the knowledge of its user. You may need a third-party translation program.

Re-working the problem (reconnecting the paths) is particularly problematic in Illustrator because Illustrator still has no decent ability to join multiple paths at once--something all its mainstream competitors have had for many years. There are third-party add-ons for that; their effectiveness varies and their usefullness depends on the specific drawings in question.

CS3 Flash Help Menu

I don't comment much, I tend to be the quiet kind of user
that just does my own thing. I am quite upset with Adobe's change
in the help feature in Flash. I understand that things change with
updates. That's a reason i get work sometimes. Someone wants to
update.
I so loved the large amount of useful code and examples
buried in the Help files in previous versions of Flash. Through
these i could riddle my why through a problem. Multiple examples of
how to use something was often the only way to figure out what I
was trying to do.
Are those days now long gone? I hope not. I am not a
programmer, but i do have some programming experience. I am a web
designer. i prefer not to live in binary, classes and the like.
Often these samples worked as idea starters, and answers to late
night prayers when the oil had been burning all too long. You know,
when your head gets fuzzy and you need to go to bed but the project
has to be done....
Well I don' t mean to be the whiner, but is there anything
that can be done about this?
I know there are some samples in there, I flipped through it
for a while, but i feel the quality of the Help menu in Flash has
dropped dramatically. The new neat features in the Help menu and
the nice skin don't measure up to the loss in content. I plan on
working with MX by my side so i can use its Help features, because
CS3 doesn't look like it will do the job.
Anyone else want to comment?

I have bought the Rich Media Project Player and List
Component and they said their help file is also installed.
I cannot see that here either.

Insert Symbol, finding Pages Help Menu and Set Default Print Size

I'm having a hard time doing the following:
1. Inserting a vertical line that I used to find in Word by going to Insert > Symbol
2. Preventing Pages from defaulting to #10 Letter (which I used recently) but seems to be the default size (but not the default Pulldown page type for some weird reason). I guess I'm just not sure how this is all working.
3. Where do I go for the Program's Help Menu in Mac? I seem to go to the Help Pulldown at the end but when I type in a word I seem to get answers for Mac as a whole and not just for Pages, which is what I want.

It would be a good idea to enter the System's Preferences Pane entitled "Language and Text"
Then trigger the newly installed menu item in the menu bar.

Update doesn't fix missing help menu?

Downloaded the latest update hoping to find that the missing help menu had been fixed, but I guess not. It seems that this should be available to those that downloaded Aperture 2 (.0.1 now) just like those who got the box. I have downloaded the help manual pdf, but don't know how to get it to show up in the program help menu.

Adobe AE CS4 Help Menu nonfunctional

AE Help, Scripting Help, Expression Reference, Animation Presets, Keyboard Shortcuts are all nonfunctional under the Help menu. Registration, Deactivation etc. are functional. This AE is with CS4 Premium Production on Windows Vista. This has been a problem since initial installation. It remained a problem on reinstallation a year and a half later. Is there a file that did not load from the disk that I should be aware of? I was hoping for updates to correct this but that has not happened.

I resolved the problem in CS4 by uninstalling and reinstalling AE. Evidently when I installed it from disk it didn't all install. The AE I have is part of a suite (PP) and I probably reinstalled the whole thing. CS5 has the Help pdf popping up when I am searching from the application window. This is a hindrance. See my problem for December 2011.

I currently have iTunes version 7 and I need to upgrade to version 10. I am afraid of losing all my music if I just download 10 and when I use the "Check for updates" in the version 7 help menu, it tells me the server cannot be contacted.

When I tried the "check for updates" under the version 7 "help" menu, it said it could not contact the update server. I am afraid if I just download version 10 from the website, it will wipe out my music library. What should I do to upgrade?

Back up your music and install from the website. You probably won't need to do this, but if your library is erased, restore it from the backup.

There is some kind of error. The new version of iTunes is 11.1, which although is not available via updates, it can be downloaded from the Apple website here:

After updating iTunes to the newest version you should be able to update your iOS

Can you access that address on the machine hosting planning?
The file structure on the web server depending on which app server you use should be something like \Hyperion\deployments\Tomcat5\HyperionPlanning\webapps\HyperionPlanning\help\en\hp_information_map\hp_information_map.html
