HELP looping my .swf video on MUSE

I have a .swf file that I want to put on my company home page, basically it is a 5 second graphic with motion, but I want it to loop, how would I do that? any ideas? currently I just "PLACE" the file on my site. Any help will be appreciated.

You must add loop function by using your file e.g. in Adobe After Effects or Adobe Flash Pro. There are several softwares for this purpose.

  • Help with html code - inserting video into Muse

I am seeking help writing the code to insert a video into Muse. I uploaded video into my Business Catalyst hosting. I need it to autoplay, loop and not show any controls or frames.
When I host video on Vimeo or YouTube, I see markings on the video that is why I am trying to just host in the same place that the files are stored for my website. If there is a way to host on youtube with out any markings showing up on the video I would be open to that too.
I don't want to see any play button or time bar.
    Thanks in advance!!

    Hello,
Just as an FYI - we also have an HTML5 video tool over at MuseThemes.com that achieves this, but works on mobile devices as well. The link above looks like it uses Flash, which isn't common anymore since the release of HTML5 based video.
Simply drag the widget out onto your canvas, and link up your videos / set options like loop, controls visible, etc. It's quite a flexible widget, and there's a complete training video included so you don't get stuck
    Check out the widget here
Just wanted to provide another alternative that could be helpful. Cheers!

  • Need Help with SWF Video Files

Hello there. I'm experiencing a new problem with Presenter.
I'm using WinXP, PowerPoint 2002 SP3, and the latest version of
Presenter. I have a presentation that contains many video clips.
I've converted them all to SWF files and have inserted them on each
slide via the Slide Properties dialog box, and inserted
corresponding "silences". However, when I publish my presentation
locally, instead of showing the SWF video in the top right corner
of the screen as it is supposed to do, I get a mirror image of the
current slide on that small upper right window. It is like the
presentation is embedding a copy of the slide where the video is
supposed to be. This never used to happen, so I'm baffled. Any
thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You probably will be able to play most of those problem files by using this freeware: VLC
If you want more information you would likely get more responses by posting in the Quicktime for MacOS forum:

  • Embedding video in muse

Can I embed a quicktime.mov which will auto play and loop on a webpage in Muse? Its a 30 sec video clip of a brick oven stove my clients want on a page for his new restaurant? Any help would be much appreciated Thank you...

    Hello,
You may want to upload it to a video hosting platform like youtube, vimeo etc.and put their embed code in Muse using the "Object -> Insert HTML" option in Muse.

  • Help inserting a flash video into my web page

    Hello!
I'd love some help inserting a flash video into my web page. My web page is hosted by Viviti, templated, and edited online. I can add html to it, and I have the html source for my flash video. I also have uploaded the flash file to the server. Since I am very html illiterate, though, I need some help rewriting the html script so it can be published. There are two problems- firstly, no 'headers' or 'body' allowed in the script- these are already a part of the template. Secondly, I don't know how to rewrite it to refer to the uploaded files. It's also imperative that the full screen mode functions. I've pasted the source code for the flash video here. Please help!!!
    Thanks!

What you basically need to do is copy the sections of content from the code you show into the template (assuming the template already provides the <head> and <body> sections of the page.  So in the head section of what you show, take everything starting with...
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    all the way down thru...
    </script>
, inclusive (in the head section only), and paste that into the head section of your template.
Similarly, take everything that lies between the <body> ... </body> tags (exclusive of the body tags) and paste it into the body section of your template wherever you plan to display the Flash file.

  • Replay video in Muse (some controls doesn't work)

    Hello colleagues,
Can't understand what is happening. I put a video in the Animate and assign controls for buttons (for example, replay video from 0:00 sec). For stage and video autoplay function are disabled.
Then I export the oam-file and insert it into the Muse with a Scroll Effect "Edge Animate" (Autoplay) to play the video at a certain point. Video starts correctly, but some controls doesn'n work, for example, "replay video". Along with this function "Toggle video play/pause" works correcly.
Actually, I want to loop video playback but it doesn't work in the Muse (Loop function for a video).
    Can anybody recommend a solution?
    Thanks!

    Hello Joe,
This is very interesting, but when I upload the project from Muse to my FTP-server, everything is working properly in all of browsers, all of controls and loop for the video clip. I found it by accident when I lost all hope. In other words, the problem is only when previewing the page in a browser (via the built-in local server). Maybe this is a question for the team Muse? Anyway I can send it in PM.
    Thanks for your reply,
    Alexander

  • Embed a video in Muse?

Can I embed a video in Muse, and I can upload to ftp to the Internet?

Hello Mogens, The answer to the first part of your question is yes you can embed a video in a muse site. The code you isert as html which comes under the Object heading in the Menu. The video file or files must go in the Assets folder, File/ add files for upload. In your code you have to have your source as Assets. I have not got the hang of this forum business yet but will send my code under here in another answer. Mine was html 5 with no sound just a little animation but the code may be helpful to you. I am completely new to this game this is my first site but I have found Muse very good and the staff guys here a very helpful. I have not got as far as uploading to my server yet so I am afraid you will have to wait for someone else to answer that one. Hope this is helpful to you.

  • How to control SWF Video using JavaScript?

    Hi,
I'm developing a web page which will use Flash Videos. I need
to control the video without using a typical skin. The current tool
I'm using to convert my wmv to SWF FLV is Coffee Cup. A hex edit
suggests this is a Version 8 SWF.
I am trying to write some javascript to control which Frame
is displayed. I have seen code such as movie.TGotoFrame(...); and
    movie.GotoFrame, movie.StopPlay() etc. Unfortunately I cannot seem
to use these methods. Eventually I suspected that my SWF simply did
not make these methods available and when I run my video in my web
page a RightClick shows a Context Menu that has no Reverse,
Forward, Back options. Other SWF videos do have these options
(obviously). This seems to prove that nothing I could code would
make the GotoFrame work (ie no Forward (by one frame) option in
menu suggests it could never work from javascript).
    Some Questions
Is there a tool to examine a SWF to see what methods are
available to javascript control? (expose the API) and is there a
setting required in the <object> setup to enable javascript
    interaction?
Is there something about SWF V8 files that is the problem or
is likely that the CoffeeCup Web Video Player can only make
    partially functioning SWF Videos?
What is the difference between GotoFrame and TGotoFrame and
have these perhaps been superceeded by something else (there is an
Adobe page which suggests they are only available up to Version 5
(not sure if that means Version 5 of SWF files or Version 5 of the
FlashPlayer - to add to my confusion).
I'm not currently a Flash type developer and have no tools to
speak off and don't know ActionScript. I'm thinking of heading in
the Flash direction but not sure how to move forward.
    Cheers
    Stuart

    Thanks Alex,
    quote:
You need to learn to move forward :)
I have a Greek friend who when I asked him how he was getting
on with his dissertation project stated "in Greece we have a saying
    - every start is different".
In this case my start is to dip a toe in the Flash water and
    not get scalded.
    Anyhow,
One clarification from the CoffeeCup forum helped me to
understand that my SWF used an external FLV and that may explain
why the rightclick context menu did not have the more movie
specific Back, Forward etc. Sounds plausible. So assume external
    FLV.

it is very easy to add a small script into the root timeline
    of your SWF file
A little hand holding here would be appreciated. I have
downloaded the Flex SDK. Can I use this free tool to do what you
suggest? Using MXML and ActionScript. If so, a little bit more info
    would help.
    quote:
That's all, it should work. Of course, you can tell me that
    your movie
already has an onEnterFrame() eventhandler at the root
    timeline.
What's a problem? Just create an empty movieclip and add this
    script
into its frame 1 (it maybe the only frame). But do not forget
    to
change "this.xxxx" to "_root.xxxx" within such script.
Hhhmmm. A bit stumped. I've had a look at the SWF using
FlashDig. I noticed what appears to be Assembly Language (Push,
Pops, Jumps etc) and presumably in amongst all of that may be an
onEnterFrame. Perhaps linked to a DefineFunction2 node.
Unfortunately the SWF is very large (60K) and there is no
search/find tool so that makes finding functions a bit harder than
expected. Struggling a little with the concept of _root and Level0
    etc.
I assume you are suggesting manually building a replacement
SWF (empty movieclip?) if the onEventHandler happens to be used for
something else. Presumably set/getVariables only interacts with
this function so if it is 'booked' in my SWF I would be in a spot
of bother with your suggested approach?
I wonder if you are assuming I have some sort of Flash tool.
Possibly like this one shown in this tutorial
    WebWasp
    Panorama tutorial
Note. The panorama is actually close to what I eventually
want to do except I intend to make a video of a scene by rotating
clockwise by 360 degrees. Then add buttons onto the SWF (or DHTML)
which communicates with the SWF to move forward or back through the
video. Moving forward would be like a clockwise rotation and moving
back would create anticlockwise rotation. This explains the need to
GotoFrame (or similar). From that perspective I don't need to
become a Flash guru (for now) and can't justify buying all the
expensive flash tools for this one (apparently) simple task: Frame
by Frame control of an external FLV via the SWF.
Note. I've started using SWFObject. Might this library help?
    In summary.
How do I add the onEnterFrame ActionScript sample (or
something similar) into a SWF using only the Flex SDK command line
tools or similar in order to control an external FLV?
    Cheers
    Stuart

  • I can't add .swf files to Muse.

I'm building my first site on Muse and I've run into a couple of problems trying to place .swf files. I've created 3 .swf files in Flash Professional from templates and one will "Place" into Muse and work fine but the other two will not. At first I was trying to "place" the swf's into Muse but I kept getting the "Error encountered during import....Error 0". Then I found a discussion outlining a similar problem as mine. (http://forums.adobe.com/message/5086966). I completed all of the steps they suggested multiple times but the only thing that happens is that I get a white box with nothing in it. I have literally spent days trying to get these other 2 swf files loaded so I would really appreciate any help I can recieve.
ps. I'm work in film and motion graphics, not web design or coding.....so please gimme some simple language.
    Thanks so much in advance.

Hi - try publishing the page to a test folder but really online. Sometimes the .swf files are blank white boxes only until the pages are actually online and with their resources.

  • Adding Controls to .swf video

    Hello,
I have lots of .swf video files from the past years, and recently have been using the flash video encoder in cs3 to create .flv that adds video controls.  I was wondering if there was a way to add video controls like slider, stop, pause, volume, etc.. to .swf video files.  I have searched for a .swf converter to .flv format but even though all the marketing says it can do it, none of the ones I have tried can do it.
Need help if you can provide some guidance.
    Thanks so much
    Rob

the converters you tried can't convert swf to flv or can't do it flawlessly?

  • Video controls for placed SWF video

    Hi all,
I placed a number SWF videos into my site (as I did not want to follow the embed HTML method) which has given me the desired effect I wished to achieve, the only problem is that the placed SWF videos do not come with a set of video controls (Play, Stop FFW etc)
Does anyone know if it is possible to achieve this, maybe by inserting some HTML, if so would anyone have an example of the code required.  If not I would happy to hear any alternative suggestions of how to include a video within your site that includes video control (without the need to host the video on YouTube etc)
Thanks in advance for any ideas
    Shaun

  • Swf video controls

I have a swf video file that I put on a page on my website. I
was wondering how I would assign play and stop buttons to it,
instead of having the movie autoplay and loop.
I am a newbie, so sorry if this is obvious.

Well, SWF video is timeline based video so using basic
    play(); stop(); action
targeting the main timeline will do just fine. Tho, if you
    are loading it in leve
or movie clip holder than adjust the action accordingly.
    If MC Holder:
    mcHolder.stop(); mcHolder.play();
    if in level3 (example):
    _level3.stop(); _level3.play();

  • Embedding a SWF Video in an AIR 2 HTML App

I've been through the forums for awhile and I can verify that my issue doesn't have to do with transparency or chrome.  I have an IFRAME which is in the application sandbox, giving it access to files in app-storage.  Dynamic images are loading fine, but my dynamically generated <OBJECT> code that is placed in the DOM is not loading the SWF video.  I can see the object placeholder, but no video.
Are there any requirements to embedding a SWF file, perhaps size requirements (both height and width required)?  Given the fact that my content is dynamic and I don't know the dimensions of the SWF file, I currently have two options for embedding:
    1. Calculate the height and width of the parent element, and assign those values to the OBJECT params.
    2. Use 100% width and height on the OBJECT
This might pose problems with the proportions of the SWF file, which I'm hoping can be fixed by the scale PARAM (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/127/tn_12701.html).
Please help, I haven't been able to find any similar problems.  I followed the documentation for embedding from here:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AIR/1.5/devappshtml/WS4B441C24-BAE3-4110-91FD-A4E5EEFB2467.htm l

Is this happening for any swf file, or is this an issue related to video?
