Help me !! how do i configure the CLASSPATH variable in windows xp??

I've just downloaded the new java envirolment platform 1.4
but i don't know what to I have to write in my CLASSPATH variable
in windows xp
with my previous version (1.3) the variable was:
CLASSPATH value=d:\java\j2re1.3.1\lib\tools.jar
with this new version I don't see any tools.jar file in my java directory ;
what to I have to to ??
another thing:
do the "javac" command works with the new version of the platform ??

Hope this helps you, I'm not currently using Java 5, but I think it works for it to.
What I understand of your problem is that you cannot compile on the current directory where your sources are located.
The first solution, though not that nice, is to write the full path of the javac executable on your computer and then the name of your sources to compile.
The other one that you are requesting is nicer.
Once you are on Environmental Variables window (if on Win XP, choose whether user[just current user] or system[all users] variables) and click new, after that you just need to add the name JAVA_HOME and the value INSTALLATION_PATH (for my case: C:\j2sdk1.4.2_11)
Hope this helps you, and as a piece of advice, I would recommend that you use some kind of IDE like Eclipse (www.eclipse.org) wich is amazing for programming and compiling.

At the Plugin area in FF6 there is no Java Plugin available, even after a search.
I have Java 1.6.0 installed in the OS at:
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0/jre/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so
I googled how to configure Java Plugin for FF 6 for Fedora 13 and the trick was to create a soft link from /home/<userID>/.mozilla/plugins to the above libnpjp2.so

Thank you, now I'm trying to do my project and I have another question, there are differents ways to connect the source and I choose the NRSE configuration because I'm going to use a grounded signal source... well in the manual says "The signal is then connected to the positive input of the PGIA, and the signal local ground reference is conenected to the negative input ot the PGIA. The ground point of the signal should, therefore, be connected to the AISENSE pin." The usual setting is in Printing Preferences.
In case you haven't found it yet - it has been a while since your original post - you may have your tray setting stuck on the 4X6 tray.
I can provide details and "how-to" if you need more help.
Printer model info would be helpful, and do you have your printer software loaded yet?

I have had an iBook for a few years now with an Airport Extreme Card installed but not configured. Have just bought s/h Airport Extreme base station (cone shape) to go wireless, but am having MAJOR probs configuring the AEC to start with so I can set up the base station!
It is asking me for a Client ID, to set Airport to DHCP?? this means nothing to me...
How do I configure the card initially??

There is absolutely nothing you need to do to configure the AirPort Extreme card. After you install the card and boot the iBook, the OS recognizes the card.

I whis to know how i can configure the WLC (2500) for reduce the time of responce between Two Lightweight APs (1040 and 1602) if one of they are disconnected for any reason (energy, malfunction, etc.) for the reconnection of the clients.
I realized the next test: I have 2 APs connected, connect my laptop to the AP 1602 and start to making a TFTP transfer between my laptop and a server, then disconnect the AP 1602 and showing the laptop, the laptop makes the change to AP 1040, but the connection to the service, the TFTP transfer is cut because it takes about 30 seconds to resume the connection with the network
How i can reduce this time, because my clients want their connection is not lost when passing a situation similar, i look in the pages of cisco but did not find any information pudisese help me, any help is welcome.

Not much you can do as its up to the client card to know it has no network connectivity and then to try to associate and obtain a DHCP address again. This is client dependent.

How do I configure the Airport Utility (AU) to allow more than one rule per port?
I am on a home network, with broadband cable modem. I have my airport extreme connected to the broadband modem. I have 2 servers in my home that need to be accessed remotely from time (SSH), and they also serve data for an iphone app, so I'm using a variety of protocols. The problem I'm running into is that AU seems to only allow one rule per protocol, so if I go to add another address for access on a specific port that is being used by one of my servers, AU tells me "The Port Mapping Entry Already Exists".
I need to be able to allow SSH on both of my servers, for instance. Am I missing something? Is this doable with AU?

The Port Mapping "rules" on the AirPorts will allow you to: 1. Map a single port to a single IP address OR 2) Map multiple ports to a single IP address.
What you won't be able to do is map a single or multiple ports to multiple IP addresses.

We have Oracle 10.2 and Windows 2003.
We have Oracle on Cluster (with Windows software).
When the System are without cluster all its OK!!!!!!
We have 2 Resources Cluster Group: Oracle and Applications.
We have Oracle in Oracle cluster group.
We have W Drive and a ftp program in Application cluster group.
We have C drive in both nodes. We have installed Oracle in both nodes but we have W drive only associate to the Active Node because is a Cluster resource (Application cluster group).
All days we receive text files by ftp and we put it on W Drive. This text files are readen with external tables in Oracle.
We have a problem when oracle fails and it goes to the another node (for ex. node2) because the external tables fail because the files are on Node1 on W Drive. If we move manually Applications cluster resource to Node2 then all it is OK.
We think to put UNC pathes instead of W but its not possible (Metalink: Note:290703.1)
How do you configure the server in this situation?????????????

We run a similar configurations and i doubt you have a chance other then reconfigure your setup. The way we do it is to have an ftp client in our database group and periodically transfer the files a second time (not elegant but it's working).
If that's not an option you might be able to use unc names in your ftp server and set the ftp root to a directory hosted on a disk which is part of the database group.
Or move to unix (that's what we do now). Than you don't have to bounce your server once in a month to apply security patches...

This is very disappointing from The Carphone Warehouse. If they had mentioned this when I went into their stores, I wouldn't have completed the purchases. I bought two phones at separate outlets and neither of them told me this.
I have been in contact with T-Mobile already as I thought they had sneakily applied a software update that locked the phone. They have denied locking it and suggest that it is something that Apple do. Their solution was a factory reset.
I have a call logged with Apple this afternoon, so will see what they suggest. Hopefully they will give me something that I can take to The Carphone Warehouse or T-Mobile.

SOLUTION:
Iam pointing t0 windows7 os.
1) go to control panel
2) open hardware and sound
3) In that open Devices and printers
4)In that u can find Apple Iphone.
5) now right click on this --> Hardware --> Properties --> General --> Uninstall --> ok.
6) now unplug and plug in ur iphone again.There u go u iphone name changes to its original name.

I am having this problem. At first with the new iPhone 5, and then with the iPad 2. I am not sure why this is happening.
My gut feeling is this is an iO6 issue and here's why -
The problem mainly occurs with apps. I have about 150 apps, and when I plugged in the phone, iTunes went to sync all of them. The process would hang up after about 20 - 30 apps were loaded onto the phone. I could tell where about the process hung up because the apps on the phone showed up as "waiting".
Then on the iPad 2 I plugged in to sync and saw there was a huge "Other" component in my storage. It required me to restore the iPad 2 from backup. With this restore the same issues occurred - putting the apps back on the iPad would hang up. The videos on the iPad also got stuck - maybe after about 10 hours of videos transfered iTunes crashed.
My solution has been to soft reset the device, restart Windows, and continue the process until it's complete. This is remarkably inefficient and time-intensive but everything works with patience.
I have been wondering if others have had these same problems.
