Thank you for answering all of those questions as it does help slim down the issue. I'm sorry you're having audio issues in the first place. It would be my pleasure to provide some suggestions.
Please follow these steps:
- While the phone is on, remove the battery for 10 seconds. Reinsert, power on & retest.
- If issues persist place the phone in Safe Mode and test:

If you don't have the issue during Safe Mode then it would be a 3rd Party application causing the issue.
- If you still have no audio, **ensure all of your personal information is backed up and Hard Reset your phone:

**Please verify the below information before you complete a Hard Reset.
Your contacts generally back up to Backup Assistant or Gmail/Google. Your media generally backs up to an SD Card. You can redownload your applications by visiting google.com/play and choosing the My Android Apps.
Please advise if you're still having the issue after completing these steps.

I am a teacher. My Macbook has had no problem all year long connecting to the school's wireless until yesterday. My computer tells me I am connected, but does not let me use the internet at all.
Things I've tried:
- Restarting
- Running Network Diagnostics (I get to the point where it says my internet appears to be working correctly... but it's not)
- Pinging websites like Google (no success)
- Checking to see that other people's Macbooks are connecting, no problem (they are)

If a second-hand iOS device has been 'Activation locked' then only the previous owner can unlock it, either by providing you with the account ID and password, or by removing it from his list of devices (as he should have done before selling it) - please see http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4515
If you are unable to contact him to do this then I'm afraid you will not be able to use the device - there is no other way of unlocking it at all. Apple cannot unlock it for you.
You should if possible return it to wherever you bought it and ask for a refund as in this event the device is completely useless. -

Well last night after I had got off the phone it had froze up (never happened before) and then it it went blank. I would call it from my house phone and it would ring and vibrate but nothing showed up on the screen. I don't know where to go from here I just need desperate help. Please and thank you!
Try doing a hard reset, Hold the "Home & Power Buttons" down at same time, until you see the Apple Icon appear. Then let go of the buttons.

I have updated my iPhone 3Gs to the latest software in an attempt to iron out a problem with a new telephone network provider (Tmobile). I had backed up my phone before I did this. Now I have lost my music and apps. I can't sync the phone with my Mac, I can't re-download from iTunes as the phone says I don't have any music or apps available to re-download although it all shows up on my Mac. The music and app content cannot be restored when I try to restore the phone from the back up I madeon my Mac. Help!
Working on that now. I'm just getting frustrated that everytime I run updates for the phone I end up with tech problems that I have to spend time solving as opposed to updates that actually improve my usage. Now I will once again get to spend hours reloading my phone all for updates that didn't affect my usage in the first place.

Did you use the latest backup after setting it up "as new device"? If yes, try again, this time without using the backup, maybe it contains damaged data causing your problem.

Just recently, I have encountered a problem with my iPhone. When someone calls, I can clearly hear the caller, but the caller cannot hear me speak. Sometimes the problem is nt there and works properly, but most of the times, I am facing this problem. Once in awhile my screen will freeze while I'm watching a video. Lately it's happening more often, I'm watching a video and it'll freeze BUT I can still hear the dialogue. Only solution I've found so far is to do a hard shut down. HELP!!
Hi there, im also having this problem, i tried running most of the games on my system, and some that are considered "high end" games, are giving me the exact same problem, but other games are running and im able to message fine, i also got some friends to send me messages, and i can recieve messages perfectly, also i noticed moving the actual window around on the screen or just closing down skype also lags. I have 16GB of ram and 4.4Ghz Octa-Core CPU, i checked my load while on the high end games and it there was more than enough hardware usage left like normal for skype to run, and skype wasnt taking any extra up than before. I also checked by bandwidth and i was having no problems with that as skype would lag even on offline games.
I have tried re-installing under a different directory and still the same problem persists, this has only been a problem within the last 24hrs and i haven't installed any other programs that could affect this at the moment.
*UPDATE* I tried downgrading to an older version of skype, 6.3.0.107. Problem Still persists -

tks AndreaBasic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
Apple has never supported downgrading of the iOS. -

when i call someone i can not hear the phone ring or the people talking. They can not hear me either. what i do notice if i select speaker then i can hear them through the speaker phone only
If there's an Apple store nearby make an appointment with the genius bar to have it checked. Be sure to sync it and back it up, as well as import your photos and videos to your computer and back up your contacts separately (such as by sync them with iCloud) in case it needs to be replaced.
