Help needed in setting form values

I have following fields in the form
Radio boxes - Grant and Deny
Text Area - User comments
Buttons - Submit Cancel
I want the user comments field 'Required' only when we select 'Deny' option
For Grant- it should not be required.
If we select Deny option and click on Submit, it should say - Missing Value in the required field - User Comments.
Please guide.

I added a validation on Subit button as -
If user commets are null and deny is selected - give error message..
It worked.

Currency Code
In the Currency Code parameter I want to use the following query in the Default Value
SELECT currency_code
FROM gl_sets_of_books sob, org_organization_definitions ood
WHERE ood.organization_id = :p_org_id_from
AND sob.set_of_books_id = ood.set_of_books_id
Now, at runtime this gives me an error of p_org_id.
Can anyone please advice me how can I use this parameter(p_org_id_from) in the above query.
Any help will be really appreciated.

I modified the query as follows:
SELECT currency_code
FROM gl_sets_of_books sob, org_organization_definitions ood
WHERE ood.organization_id = :$FLEX$.ORG_INTRANSIT
AND sob.set_of_books_id = ood.set_of_books_id
Here ORG_INTRANSIT is the valueset I am using in From Org ID and To Org ID.
Now the problem which I face is that when I use ORG_INTRANSIT valueset in both From Org as well as TO Org then the Currency is not defaulted, but if I use it in either From Org or To Org then the Currency is defaulted.
How can I resolve this. Please help.

Help needed in setting up Japanese Database.
I created database with UTF8 character set on Sun Solaris O/S.
Oracle version 8.1.7.
I am accessing the DB through SQL*Plus (Windows client).
I downloaded the Japanese font on client side and also set the NLS_LANG environment variable to Japanese_Japan.UTF8. Still, I am not able to view Japanese characters. O/S on client side is Windows 2000 professional (English). Is O/S (client) need to be Japanese O/S? When I try to retrieve sysdate, its displaying in Japanese but not all characters in Japanese. Can anyone help me out how to set up the client and is there any parameters to be setup at server side? I also tried to insert japanese characters into table through client, but it displaying as "?????" characters. Any help in this regard is appreciated.

do you know what accept does? if not read below.
serversocket.accept() is where java stops and waits for a (client)socket to connect to it.
only after a socket has connected wil the program continue.
try putting the accept() in its own little thread and let it wait there while your program continues in another thread

Help needed with this form in DW

Hi, i have created this form in dreamweaver but ive got this problem.
In the fields above the text field, the client needs to fill in some info such as name, email telephone number etc.
But the problem is when ill get the messages. Only the text from the large text field is there.
What did i do wrong??

Need to set default values for the fields plant and location in ME21N

i need to set default values for the fields plant and location in ME21N tcode.
In accout assignment if we give 'A' then we need to create asset by clicking the Asset tab,there you have the fields plant and location.

in this module write:

MEPOITEM_PROP-WERKS = '1000'.
MEPOITEM_PROP-LGORT = '0032'.
endif.

Need to set default value on Account Search

In BSP BP_HEADSEARCH view MainSearch I need to default the value of the attribute 'RESP_AREA' to '01'. I can see the attribute on the value node SEARCH but when get the current context of SEARCH the entity is of a type CL_CRM_BOL_DQUERY_SERVICE and I am not sure how to set the default value.

Hi Tom,
When it comes to setting values in a search entity you can not use the normal getter/setter methods because the context node class will be inherited from CL_BSP_WD_CONTEXT_NODE_ASP. In the context node class there will be few attributes (FIELD,MAX_HITS,OPERATOR,VALUE1,VALUE2) that corresponds to the fields diosplayed in the search criteria. The fields VALUE1 and VALUE2 represents the LOW and HIGH values.
To set default value for RESP_AREA you must redefine SET_VALUE1 method and read the ATTR_NAME. If ATTR_NAME is RESP_AREA then you can set the value.
Method SET_VALUE1.

hi jazz try this way.
forget about every thing and come from beginning.
by now i think your are familiar with shd0.
firstly create a variant using shd0 for your table eabl with default value and save it and activate it.
next check whether it is working or not by opening se11 or 14 and enter table name and click display, the you can you see your default vale in your required field.
after it is done the come to second part i.e your se16.
now create another variant for this and save it and activate it.
(by this i mean to say you are creating two variants )

Help needed to set consecutive numbering in table rows

I need to set up a table so that the first column is a column of consecutive numbers (much like the record count).
The table will be followed with a text frame, and then a new table will start.
HOWEVER. I wanted to numbers in the first column to continue consecutively.
I am using this for a lengthy explanation of technical instructions: one instruction/ per line.
There will be about 1000+ instructions over the course of this 200-page book. The second column contains a checkbox, which is why I am having problems setting this up in an ordinary word-processing program, because of export issues (Dont ask). The third column contains the instruction.
I am hoping that Numbers will solve my formatting problems.
*Is there a simple way to set up the first table column in a sheet to number the rows consecutively, and continue the numbering each time a new table is inserted?*

Fred, is it possible for this to work with other number related items. I'm talking specifically about sequential inventory numbers. At work I used excel, but now that computer is dead, and I'm working from home. I've refused to install microsoft products on my home machine for quite a while. I love numbers, and am glad it's out, so I am never even tempted by the "devil". Sorry got off topic.
Essentially I used to write BLX-001 in cell one, BLX-002 in cell two, then do the drag method. When I have text in the Numbers cell though it won't give consecutive numbers, just continually repeat the numbers in the first two cells. Any helps

Help needed in RTF form field to display yes or no based on xml value

Hi,
I have the data in xml as follows: <CP_ZERO_COST>2</CP_ZERO_COST>
Now my requirement is, if CP_ZERO_COST is 2 then the column should display 'No' and if CP_ZERO_COST is 1 the column should display 'Yes'. Now this 'yes' or 'no' is not coming in xml tag. I need to do that in RTF form field.
Could anyone please tell me how to do that?

Which environment are you trying this in ? In Enterprise server, bursting is defined by a SQL query which can be run against the table that you want. So you can even populate the printer name from your query. So the URI, ipp://myprintserver:631/printers/printername" is the syntax. In your case you have to create this string in your SQL query by concatenating the parts "ipp://" + printername + ":631/". If there is a name to the printer in the printserver, then that too can be concatenated.
In case this is in EBS , the same has to be done in the control file.

The row numer 1 is added by hand and it works. row number 33 and 32
are added to database by method CreateUnregisteredOsoba. As you can
see fields login as well as Roles and RoleGroup are empty (NULL). What
Im doing wrong ?

PS. Table Osoba works fine - everything is added as I want.

I solved problem.
The reason why EJB had not added anything to database NULL was becouse wrong names of class. Ive refactored whole class Rola.java to RolaClass.java and suddenly it worked.
True reason is still unknown but most importent is that it works.

Help needed on Populating forms

Hi,
I am new to Apex and would appreciate any help regarding this.
The scenario is as follows: I need to have a form which can be saved and edited each time user logs in untill the user presses submit button. Now I have created a form (with text, radiogroup, checkboxes LOV's etc) which inserts the data entered and selected by the user to the database when he presses 'save'. But the next time the user logs in, I am unable to display the form with the previously entered data. How do I populate the database values to the form (As I mentioned before, the form contains radiogroup, LOV'S etc) ?

Priyanka, I checked out the link... its fine... but thats not my requirement...
it is as follows:
1) there is login page...with login_info table and user_id as primary key
2)a form whose data is stored in a table with user_id as foreign key.
3)form has 2 buttons- create and apply changes.
4)for the first time...user enters data and clicks create.
5)when he logs in for 2nd time...the data he entered previously must be populated into the form...so that he can update it and save t by clicking apply changes button...
now how do i populate data of that particular user when he logs in? Do i use sessions?
And regarding automatic dml...its working fine...but automatic row fetch is not happening... So, i have written a separate procedure..by which i can now populate forms when i have hardcoded user_id...
how to do this dynamically?

Help needed to set up Ports

At the advice of the Tmobile tech, am trying to set up this:
"In order for IPsec to work, the following ports need to be allowed through the firewall in both directions:
UDP port 500 (Internet Key Exchange or "IKE")
UDP port 4500 (IPSec/IKE NAT-T)
Many consumer-grade routers, including the T-Mobile branded Wi-Fi routers, include a simple check-box that will enable IPsec communications. This option is typically named 'Enable IPsec passthrough' or something similar."
Apple care said they were unable to assist and suggested coming here.
I see in Airport Admin. where to add port mapping, but not sure what Services to choose, as all seem to have some values attached already.
Also, I don't see anything anywhere called IPSEC....

I got my at&t yahoo mail to work on the centro. Not sure if it's the same as just plain old yahoo mail, but maybe this will help you. Now I'm able to simply click the little mail button on my centro and it takes me to my inbox. This was NOT through versa mail as far as I know. To access the versa mail I have to go to a different icon on my centro thats just called "mail". While my little quick mail key actually takes me to the application on my centro called "e-mail".
I set it up as follows......
Create your mail account and name it accordingly. Enter your e-mail address and password and select next. For mail type: POP enter your username (which is your e-mail address again).
my incoming mail server I simply took right off my home computer set-up I had. For me it was pop.att.yahoo.com while the outgoing mail server was smtp.att.yahoo.com
Then click on the advanced settings option.
For the incoming service I selected to use a secure connection and made sure my port number matched what I had loaded in my home computer. Then I selected next and for the outgoing server I selected to use the SSL connection AND the use authentication selection. The later will require you to again enter your username and password (email address and password). And I once again made sure my port number matched my home e-mail setting.
And that was it. I was able to get it to work.
Maybe it will not be the identical things for you, but maybe this will help some.

Help needed with fillable form

I have created a form in Adobe, which was very easy. However, when it was emailed out to other users, several commented that they couldn't make revisions to it. Most of the users had either Flash or Reader, not many having Standard or Professional. After some research, I found the Submit Form button, which looks like it would work, but I need some assitance on making sure it formatted correctly. I also need some assistance on setting up a siguature and using it. I have utilized the Help function while working on the form, but it doesn't seem to get me anywhere.
If anyone has any experience with a form like this, I would appreicate any help!

Looks like the LiveCycle recommendation is appropriate since you did not create the form in Acrobat. The techniques for working forms is different in Designer and the form cannot be edited in Acrobat once Designer is used. I would have to look at the form in Designer on my other machine at work to provide any comments, but the other forum should lead to more useful feedback.

Set Form Values From Interactive Report Row

Using Apex 4.2.
I have two tables: T1 and T2
Table T1 contains five columns: CT11, CT12, CT13, CT14, CT15
Table T2 contains 4 columns: CT21, CT22, CT23, CT24
I have a page with two regions. Region 1 is a Form on a Table using table T1. Region 2 is an Interactive Report ( IR ) on table T2.
The SQL for region 2 is: select apex_item.RADIOGROUP(p_idx => 1, p_value => CT21) "Choose", CT22, CT23, CT24 from T2;
When the user clicks a radio button for a row in the Interactive Report, I would like the values in the IR cells CT22, CT23, CT24 to populate the CT13, CT14, CT15 fields in the table form in region 1. If a user clicks another row radio button, the values should update.

As per my understanding ur requirement is as below.
When the user clicks the 'Link Column' it should redirect to another page with the value of id, Day, Start Time, and End Time.
Hope all the cloumns are from the same table.
As Denes said, it is enought to pass the ID value to the link column as of below.
ie., u can modify ur query as of below.
SELECT Last Name,First Name,Day,Start Time,End Time, ID as "Link Column"
FROM t.
Now u can pass the value as #Link Column# which will pass the ID value to the next page.
Hope my understanding is correct.
