HELP rebalancing the sound of a video

I've recorded a live concert for saxophone and piano with canon FS100 and beachteck phantom power with 2 mics: Audio technica At 4033 and shure PG 48.
Allright for the 2nd part of the concert but in the 1st part the input volume of the 2 mics was balaced wrong: the piano volume is to high and the saxophone is too low.
Is there a video editing software that enables me to rebalance the sound of the video by lowering the level of the piano or rising the level of the saxophone ?

Hopefully the audio from each mic was recorded on its own channel/track and not mixed together. If so, almost any audio editing program or NLE could be used to adjust the levels of each audio channel independently; FCE, FCP, SoundTrack Pro would all work.
However, if the audio was recorded mixed, it would be extremely difficult (if not impossible) to do what you want.

I agree with Mylenium. Premiere Elements would be a better program for the post-production.
As for shooting, I would use a background, as those wall plates/outlets really draw the eye. A nice piece of dark grey, non-glossy fabric, like perhaps a velvet, could be taped over the wall, behind your subject. If possible, move the subject a bit farther from any background.
Do not be afraid of composing the subject more tightly, so that one sees more of them, and less background. Even with a "talking head" shot, you can get much tighter with the framing.
I would also go for a bit more controlled lighting on your subject. Even placing a white card, or sheet to one side, just to fill in the face, would be better. Just keep it out of the coverage of the camera. A piece of foamcore, or Gator-foam, would work well. Angle it to fill that side of the subject's face.
The audio was recorded in a fairly "hard," or "live" environment. If the mic is camera-mounted, think about hanging some soft fabric, in a V, behind the camera and operator. The camera would be in the apex of the V. A few quilts would work fine. That should help remove the slight echo of the room, and "soften" the sound a bit.

Why can I not hear the sound on my videos?

I cannot hear the sound on my videos after I convert them for iPod use on iTunes. I can hear the sound before I convert them - what gives?

Quicktime, Quicktime Pro and iTunes don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.

You need a 3rd party converter to convert the file with both audio and video.

The sound on my video playback has disappeared

I recorded a few videos on my iPhone 3GS this afternoon. When I played them back they were all working. However, a little while later (not more than a few minutes), I played back one video back and the sound has disappeared! The video was of the flypast at Buckingham Palace today in honour of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Please help! Many thanks.

you can try doing a reset, hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up, then try the video again.

Need help get the sound timed to the picture

Photoshop elements 12. On a PC. How do you get the sound to time with the picture when you are trying to edit it?

That makes more sense. I wish could help specifically, but I use another NLE video application.
Was the audio recorded separately or at the same time as the video? If the latter, I'm pretty sure Premiere should lock the audio event with the video as you move it. (At least most NLEs do.)

I took my computer in for service just before the warranty expired now I have one question and can't get any help. The sound buttons on my keyboard no longer work

I installed the new Mavericks update on my MacBook Pro when it was released and offered free of charge. After that my computer started crashing on a regular basis, upon the realization that my warranty was due to expire at the end of the year I took my computer in to the Apple Store in Green Hills Mall about 5 days before Christmas. To anyone not familiar with Green Hills in Nashville TN the traffic is horrendous at all times let alone 5 days before Christmas. They had to send it off for service and it was shipped back to me on Christmas Eve. Through the holidays I haven't used it much. I usually just use it at work between customers and most of the time just leave it here. Friday evening I played videos with no problems, when I came back in on Monday and played a video the sound had decreased dramatically and the volume control keys on my keyboard would not work. I don't know if they were working before because I don't remember if I used them or not since Monday was the first time the volume was so low. Now my warranty is expired and I am very poor ( The I have a job, a roof over my head and food to eat but a negative balance in checking account and bills still to pay kind of poor) so I am hoping that someone out there knows what's causing this and how to fix it.

Mavericks has had a lot of compatability issues and are slowly being fixed. This is why I haven't upgraded yet.
Either downgrade back to Mountain Lion or just wait for a software fix.

When I closde a page where there has been a video, ie youtube or the like, the sound from that video that had played will continuw to run. I can close Firefox and upload it again and still will the sound of the video continuew to run. WHY?

When I close a youtube video or some other video and even after closing the tab the sound from the video continue to be played. As a matter of fact I have even closed Firefox and re-started Firefox and it plays again. I even went and turned off the computer and re-started the computer and then Firexox and the video sound was still there playing. WHY is this happening???.

Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin. Sometimes it's necessary to uninstall then reinstall that plugin.
Uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important to uninstall the currently installed plugin first.
Now launch Safari and try a video.
If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.
You may also need to delete the cache associated with Safari .
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy/paste: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari
Click Go the move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a video.

Can I saparate the sound from my video?

I am using my iSight camera and iMovie to make a video clip but the sound is out of sync. I sthere a way to correct this? Can I separarte the video and the sound?

I don't have an iSight so am not sure what format it records in, but in general, you can pick a clip in iMovie and then use the Extract Audio command to make a separate copy of the audio (iMovie will then automatically mute the audio in the clip itself). You can then move the extracted audio around to get the sync back.

How can I enhance the sound on a video recording?

I recently filmed my daughter's wedding but the radio mike I used on the reception speeches was faulty. Consequently, the only sound I have for the speeches is off a camcorder mike on the other side of the room which means that there is a great deal of extraneous noise.
I am using PE13 on an iMac with Yosemite. I have not yet found a way of filtering or enhancing the sound. Does anyone know of an inexpensive app that might help improve the audio?

Have you looked at the Audio Effects under the fx Effects?

Help ! the sound is gone !

I've installed windows vista on my Imac, and the sound is working on Mac OS X, but not on Windows.. tried to fox it on the controlpanel, but it just keep saying to me that there is nothing wrong with the speakers.... :S please help ! thanks...

Well, it appears that repeatedly dropping it isn't helping things, so rather than dropping it a third time I suggest you take your iPhone to an Apple Store, who may accept it in return for a replacement. There will be a fee; the amount depends on whether you purchased AppleCare+ or not.

HELP! The Sound Quality is poor on my IPOD

I just purchased an I POD 30G - Have downloaded songs directly from my CD collection... they sound great, except for those scratched CD's... My issue however is with other songs I had on my computer previously from other downloaded sites. Some play very loud and others play very soft and low... there is no consistency & its getting frustrating... I looked on this site for some help, but did not find anything concrete... is there a way to have all my songs on the IPOD play at the same sound quality/level? without having to go into each song & manually manipulate it? Please help....

iTunes scans for volume automatically whenever you import songs, regardless of the 'Sound Check' setting. You also need to set 'Sound Check' on your iPod.

Help? the sound on my hp pavilion g7-1075dx is distorted and staticy

This problem started happening recently. When I play music on my laptop, it gets staticy, it slows down at random points, and skips. But it only happens when I play it on itunes or windows media player. All of the audio on the internet works perfectly. I thought maybe the tracks were corrupted but they work fine on my devices as well. I don't know what else to do.

the same thing is hapening to be only had my laptop for a month. I plugged in speakers and it was fine, when i took the speakers out the sound is now distored and static from time to time, also one speaker is louder then the other, dont know if thats suppose to be like that.

I need help on the Sound Blaster Audig

I just got the sound Blaster Audigy 4 and installed it on a Dell computer. The receiver that comes with the card worked fine with the media center the first time it is installed but after that the red LED light comes on instead of blinking when the remote control is used. I tried to re-intalled the driver of the card which took a lot of time but did not fix the problem. Would somebody please tell me what the problem is with the receiver and what should I do the address the problem?

I would suggest uninstalling the SB drivers in Add/Remove program then run the SB installation again.

did you put your Air to sleep with headphones attached, or closed the monitor with phones attached?
Do not sleep your Air (close the monitor with headphones attached) with headphones attached, this is known to affect some Air under Mavericks.
* this occurrence is being looked into.
Much testing on my own and others as well show that, in some instances, this occurs in Mavericks.
If you choose you may contact Apple for an appt and diagnostics.
However as said, refrain from having phones attached when you close the monitor to prevent this until it is resolved
Test this and re-verify
