Help with calculating expiration date

Hi Microsoft Access community.
I am trying to automatically set the expiration date in my table each time new data is entered which is +10 months -1 Day. My field name is called 'Best Before Date:', Data Type is called Date/Time, Format is set to 'Short Date' and under the Default
Value field property I have two expressions I am trying to input.
=DateAdd("m",10,Date())
=DateAdd("y",-1,Date())
These expressions work for me only when they are input separately. My issue is that I want to combine these two expressions but I don't know how.
If anyone has any ideas of how to accomplish this task best please do help.
Thanks

• Does JCE 1.2.2 make use of a certificate with an expiration date?

Does JCE 1.2.2 make use of a certificate with an expiration
date?
If so, what's the date?

The validation code which checked for certificate expiration was only found in JCE 1.2.1. It WAS REMOVED from JCE 1.2.2 and all successive releases like JCE in JDK 1.4.x and 5.x (and soon in 6.x). This expiration problem was the primary reason for releasing JCE 1.2.2 over three years ago. Export control regulations changed following the release of JCE 1.2.1, and Sun released 1.2.2 shortly thereafter so that customers wouldn't have this expiration problem.
This change is documented as the first bullet in the change log for JCE 1.2.2, which is found both in the product distribution itself and on the following JCE product page:
http://java.sun.com/products/jce/jce122_changes.html
That said, JCE 1.2.2 is indeed signed with a certificate which is valid until October 2006, HOWEVER the JCE 1.2.2 and JCE in JDK 1.4.x/5.x code no longer checks that expiration date. All it cares about is that the code signature is valid.
My understanding is that BOTH JDK 1.3.x and JCE 1.2.2 are slated for End-of-Life on March 30th, 2006, and will no longer be supported by Sun. Both should continue to work after that time, but will no longer be supported.
I hope that helps clear the confusion.

• Help with calculated column formula- combine strings and convert to date

In my list (SharePoint Server 2013) I have:
'Invoiced Month' column, type of choice (strings with names of months- January, February, March..., December)
'Year' column, single line of text (e.g. 2012, 2013, 2014)
1. I need to create a calculated column which will return combined value of the columns above, but in DATE format e.g. 'Sep-2013' or '01-Sep-2013'.
I then use that newly created calculated column to do this: http://iwillsharemypoint.blogspot.in/2012/03/sharepoint-list-view-of-current-month.html
I am rubbish with formulas, can I have some help with my problem please?

Hi,
Use the formula, I have tested by creating Months column with choice, Year column as numeric and Calculated column as DateTime returned.
=DATE(Year,IF([Months]="January", 1,IF([Months]="February",2,IF([Months]="March",3,IF([Months]="April",4,IF([Months]="May",5,IF([Months]="June",6,IF([Months]="July",7,IF([Months]="August",8,IF([Months]="September",9,IF([Months]="October",10,IF([Months]="November",11,12))))))))))),1)
Before applying the formula few things need to be noted.
DATE(YEAR, MONTH,DAY) will accepts three parameters all should be type numeric(integer).
Create the Year column of type numeric
Create the calculated column of type "DateTime" to return as date
Please mark it answered, if your problem resolved or helpful.

• Need help with calculator project for an assignment...

Hi all, I please need help with my calculator project that I have to do for an assignment.
Here is the project's specifications that I need to do"
"""Create a console calculator applicaion that:
* Takes one command line argument: your name and surname. When the
program starts, display the date and time with a welcome message for the
user.
* Display all the available options to the user. Your calculator must include
the arithmetic operations as well as at least five scientific operations of the
Math class.
-Your program must also have the ability to round a number and
truncate it.
-When you multiply by 2, you should not use the '*' operator to perform the
operation.
-Your program must also be able to reverse the sign of a number.
* Include sufficient error checking in your program to ensure that the user
only enters valid input. Make use of the String; Character, and other
wrapper classes to help you.
* Your program must be able to do conversions between decimal, octal and
hex numbers.
* Make use of a menu. You should give the user the option to end the
program when entering a certain option.
* When the program exits, display a message for the user, stating the
current time, and calculate and display how long the user used your
program.
* Make use of helper classes where possible.
* Use the SDK to run your program."""
When the program starts, it asks the user for his/her name and surname. I got the program to ask the user again and again for his/her name and surname
when he/she doesn't insert anything or just press 'enter', but if the user enters a number for the name and surname part, the program continues.
Now my question is this: How can I restrict the user to only enter 'letters' (and spaces of course) but allow NO numbers for his/her surname??

What you could do is checking the input string for numbers. If it contains numbers, just reprompt for the Name.
AND you might want to ask yourself why the heck a calculator needs to know the users Name.

I need help highlighting cells on my Numbers '09 spreadsheet. I want the cell text/fill to change color when the date is 180 days or less from the current date. I already have a cell with the current date in it. I also know how to change the fill/text colors. All the cells have been formatted to show date only. I am having trouble with the formula. I can get to the Conditional Formatting menu and select "With Dates" but after that I am lost. Can anyone help?
Thank you for any assistance.

Set a Conditional Format rule as shown in the illustration below. The rule has been applied to all dates in column B of the table.

• Create a pdf document with an expiration date.

as I can do to make the pdf document has an expiration date, starting from the date in which it has fallen.

Actually, it can be done with JS, but it is far from a secure solution and there are various ways a user can get around it (download a new copy of the file, disable JS entirely, change their local time, etc.), so yes, for a real solution you'll need to use DRM technology.

• Help with excel grouped data and sorting to keep data intact

I have a master spreadsheet with lots of data. I am trying to grouped the data based on physical address/city, add the values and once done sort it by valuation based on descending order by valuation but my data keep messing up.
So in Row 1/col A: Address 1; Col B City: XXX; Col C: Valuation $$$
Row 2/col A: Address 1; Col B City: XXX; Col C: Vauation $$$
Row 3/col A: Address 2; COl B City: YYY; Col C: Valuation $$$
SO I sort by city and in ROw 1/2 same city with same address, I grouped it. THen I created a new row below Row 3 and add up the grouped data (i.e. ROw 1 and 2). I go through the entire list to finalize the grouped locations.
But when I am done and I sort by Valuation, all my data messed up coz I created a new row with addition of grouped location valuation and the formula gets messed up.
Any one with ideas please help. My deadline for this project is just a week away and I am freaking out.
THanks in advance.

it seems upload a sample is more clearly about the required.

• Can I have my email messages stored on my hard drive with no expiration date?

My email server deletes emails after two weeks. When I used Outlook, the messages were automatically stored on my hard drive without an expiration date. Can I configure Thunderbird to do the same?

Using the Inbox for long term message storage is a recipe for disaster.
You should make folders for your "keeper" email under the Local Folder account and sort those messages into those folders.
Read this article about maintaining your email folders.

• Self destruct PDFs -- PDFs with an expiration date

Hi,
There's quite a lot of Google search results for "self destruct PDFs" but I haven't found a solution.
Is there third party software for giving a PDF an expiration date so that it can't be opened after a certain date?
Thanks,
David

Yes; you apply digital rights management using an Adobe LiveCycle policy server.
There are some supposed 'solutions' using JavaScript but they simply don't work.

• Little help with FORM POST data not in UTF-8 (JSP/servlet)

Hello,
I am trying to update a MySQL database record with UTF-8 characters with my JSP application.
1) I have MySQL correctly configured to handle UTF8 and have tested insert/update/select with UTF8 characters
2) I have an "editRecord.jsp" page. At the top of the page, I specify:
<% request.setCharacterEncoding("UTF-8"); %>
3) I have an input form which is specified in that page which follows:
<form action="<c:url value="/updateRecord.jsp"/>"
name="updatetForm" method="post"
ACCEPT-CHARSET="UTF-8"
enctype="multipart/form-data">
4) I have a servlet filter that takes every HttpServletRequest and modifies that object in
doFilter(...){
request.setCharacterEncoding("UTF-8");
chain.doFilter(...)
5) In updateRecord.jsp, I fill a JavaBean with the form data. Here's an example of the form input:
name = Company
Comments=Here's some unicode text: "يني إن بلاده م
6) When I put a breakpoint and inspect the contents of the UpdateBean after posting the form, running the request through the filter, I see
I see:
name = Company
Comments=Here's some unicode text: „...."
Where could I possibly be missing something to force UTF8 encoding of these values?

If you have to use the following code to fix the encoding:
String value = new String(item.getString().getBytes("ISO-8859-1"), "UTF-8"); ...
then you are just putting a band aid on something that is broken somewhere else (since this code creates a byte array in 8859-1 and then creates a string from that byte array, but assuming that the array is encoded in UTF-8). That will only work if the string you start out with is mangled.
In many cases such a fix will actually "work" (in the sense that you may end up with something that is correctly encoded in the end), but you run the risk of breaking if the source of the original corruption is removed.

• HELP wrong warranty expiring date!

Hi I'm Italian so I'm sorry for my English Language.
I recently bought a third gen Nano ( on 31st december 2007 ) but I got a problem with the display so I contacted the online support on the apple website.
while doing this I had to check my warranty status so I put the serial number in a webpage on the site and it told me that the warranty will expire on 13th november 2008.
so I clicked on "communicate the right date of purchase to adjust the warranty" (or sth like that I don't know if in english it's the same) and It gave me a PDF document (http://images.apple.com/support/service/help/warrantycheck/it/faxcover.pdf)
that I have to send by FAX with the receipt of the nano.
THE PROBLEM IS THIS:
in this fax I have to say my information( name surname and so on)but also the "AGREEMENT NUMBER" and the "CASE NUMBER/REPAIR NUMBER"
what do I have to write in agreement number? i don't have any idea of this.
also the CASE NUMBER : I received a case number from the Apple Support as I had the problem with the display, but is this number the same that I must communicate to adjust the warranty? or the Case number that I got is only related to the display problem?
I hope you have understood my problem because it's not so easy to explain... if you wish to visit the page of the fax in the English Version go to this page (http://images.apple.com/support/service/help/warrantycheck//faxcover.pdf)
Thanks a lot
please help mee!!

"AGREEMENT NUMBER" is the AppleCare agreement number. You would only enter the Plan number if you have an AppleCare Protection Plan enrolled to your iPod. If the iPod does not have an AppleCare Protection Plan added to it, there would be no agreement number, so leave that space blank.
"CASE NUMBER/REPAIR NUMBER" would be the number given to you over the phone if you had previously contacted Apple about this matter. If you have never contacted them, no such number would exist, so leave that space blank.

• Help with calculated dimension member

I am trying to create a (custom) dimension member using a simple calculation (subtraction e.g. member1 - member2) in AWM 9.2.0.4 following the example given in the Oracle OLAP DML Reference 10g (using DML). I could not find any articles relating to this for 9i. Although the custom member is easily added to the dimension, I could not populate it with the specified calculation.
I need to enable the analytic workspace for OLAP API and BI Beans. Can anyone help?

Hi,
Use the formula, I have tested by creating Months column with choice, Year column as numeric and Calculated column as DateTime returned.
=DATE(Year,IF([Months]="January", 1,IF([Months]="February",2,IF([Months]="March",3,IF([Months]="April",4,IF([Months]="May",5,IF([Months]="June",6,IF([Months]="July",7,IF([Months]="August",8,IF([Months]="September",9,IF([Months]="October",10,IF([Months]="November",11,12))))))))))),1)
Before applying the formula few things need to be noted.
DATE(YEAR, MONTH,DAY) will accepts three parameters all should be type numeric(integer).
Create the Year column of type numeric
Create the calculated column of type "DateTime" to return as date
Please mark it answered, if your problem resolved or helpful.

• Looking for a specific iphone app - it is supposed to help with identifying/transferring data to purchased itunes files

I had to get my iPhone 5c fixed today because there was a problem with syncing itunes files from my laptop; I changed the names of some of the song files/artists from my laptop and attempted to sync it to my iphone, but that created a corruption in the process, which in turn ceased any kind of syncing altogether. So my iphone is restored/fixed, but I still have to deal with having itunes purchases and old CD data listed as "Various Artists" or "Unknown Artist."
The Mac employer who helped me told me about an app that can identify those "Unknown Artist" files and interpret the data so that the iphone can recognize it. I know that's kind of a conveluted description, but he basically said that I can type in the name of an album, and the app will identify the relevent artist name/album artwork (within a database of music info, i'm guessing) and send it over to itunes.
I can't for the life of me remember the name of the app, but I know it starts with an S, and the app icon has the color red. I searched the music apps, but I can't seem to find it, so i'm guessing it's under a different category.
Does anybody know the app that i'm talking about?

The outer brown outline is just the background from the website I saw this on. Only look at the white frame. Then you can see the black frame around the photo. Please help!!
