HELP wrong warranty expiring date!

Hi I'm Italian so I'm sorry for my English Language.
I recently bought a third gen Nano ( on 31st december 2007 ) but I got a problem with the display so I contacted the online support on the apple website.
while doing this I had to check my warranty status so I put the serial number in a webpage on the site and it told me that the warranty will expire on 13th november 2008.
so I clicked on "communicate the right date of purchase to adjust the warranty" (or sth like that I don't know if in english it's the same) and It gave me a PDF document (http://images.apple.com/support/service/help/warrantycheck/it/faxcover.pdf)
that I have to send by FAX with the receipt of the nano.
THE PROBLEM IS THIS:
in this fax I have to say my information( name surname and so on)but also the "AGREEMENT NUMBER" and the "CASE NUMBER/REPAIR NUMBER"
what do I have to write in agreement number? i don't have any idea of this.
also the CASE NUMBER : I received a case number from the Apple Support as I had the problem with the display, but is this number the same that I must communicate to adjust the warranty? or the Case number that I got is only related to the display problem?

"AGREEMENT NUMBER" is the AppleCare agreement number. You would only enter the Plan number if you have an AppleCare Protection Plan enrolled to your iPod. If the iPod does not have an AppleCare Protection Plan added to it, there would be no agreement number, so leave that space blank.
"CASE NUMBER/REPAIR NUMBER" would be the number given to you over the phone if you had previously contacted Apple about this matter. If you have never contacted them, no such number would exist, so leave that space blank.

    Hi Microsoft Access community.
    I am trying to automatically set the expiration date in my table each time new data is entered which is +10 months -1 Day. My field name is called 'Best Before Date:', Data Type is called Date/Time, Format is set to 'Short Date' and under the Default
    Value field property I have two expressions I am trying to input.
    =DateAdd("m",10,Date())
    =DateAdd("y",-1,Date())
    These expressions work for me only when they are input separately. My issue is that I want to combine these two expressions but I don't know how.
    If anyone has any ideas of how to accomplish this task best please do help.

    I need help highlighting cells on my Numbers '09 spreadsheet.  I want the cell text/fill to change color when the date is 180 days or less from the current date.  I already have a cell with the current date in it.  I also know how to change the fill/text colors.  All the cells have been formatted to show date only.  I am having trouble with the formula.  I can get to the Conditional Formatting menu and select "With Dates" but after that I am lost.  Can anyone help?

    Set a Conditional Format rule as shown in the illustration below. The rule has been applied to all dates in column B of the table.

  • X60s wrong warranty dates

    I bought my X60s in Denmark on the 13th of march 2007 with a 3 years warranty.
    When I look up my warranty status it says that the machine has a three years warranty, but it also says that the warranty expiration date is 10th of may 2009.
    This is wrong because the warranty should run until 13th of march 2010.
    How can the date be corrected?

    You should contact Lenovo sales (hopefully you still have your invoice) and get this resolved, it shouldn't be much of a problem IMHO.

    I bought a HP laptop on may 2015 and i have registered it. Today i.e on 02 Aug, 2015 when i happend to check my warranty status it was showing that i have only 4 months of warranty left. The warranty start date was wrong.I also have Invoice regarding purchase date. When i contact HP support they say i had warranty until 2017 (other than what was displayed). I dont understand . How can i change my warranty start date. I am worried with the issue.Please Help

    I just got a message from Tempro saying that my Warranty was going to expire soon. The thing is that I bought my laptop on Amazon.de on February 3rd 2013. When looking at the registered date, it says 2012. This is completly wrong and I know that I haven't registered it yet. I do not understand.

  • Help needed~x61s dead after warranty expired

    I think the motherboard is burned. I saw the smoke came out from the left vent.
    Can I update my warranty one more year to avoid the cost of repair or just throw
    the machine to the rubbish? Its dead and can not light on.

    The warranty can be extended within one month of expiration date, how come your laptop short circuited did you have get water on the laptop or something, in which case warranty don't cover it. And you are better off selling the laptop for parts or get a new motherboard off ebay or IBM parts, and change it yourself.

    I'm aware of JS API Reference disclaimer on page 277. I am executing it from folder level script. The script hasn't changed in 2 years and worked fine in Adobe versions 7.0 through 9.3.2. It stopped working when Adobe released version 9.3.3.
    I can make the script do nothing but

    so that there is no reference to the document after it closes. I still get a fatal error:

    Followed by Microsoft Error report

    All our users have rolled back to Reader 9.3.2 and the problem went away.
    I don't believe it is related to the location of the method ...rather something Adobe changed between version 9.3.2 and 9.3.3.

    Hello every one im making a system for my class where students register to this sytems but the expire date the teacher can select if their adtional training will last 15 days, 30 days or 60 days for this i have a table where i register the students, also i have a table where the teacher can add more times and a table of the extra courses or extra weekend class

    I have followed your instuctions in creating something similar, although I have not created a days calculated field in the mysql database as i have used a recordset in dreamweaver to calculate the DATEDIFF(date_expired_pd, current_date) which creates the same but is not adding extra storage to my database.
    My problem is that in your example the user defines the expiry date.
    I would like to define the expiry date and not the user but also adding on any extra days that have not yet expired.
    For example if a user had 2 days until expiry and i gave the opportunity to extend the expiry date for a further 30 days plus the 2 days which have not expired.
    I have tried to maniuplate the custom trigger but im no expert on this.
    If you at all have time please could you look at what i have done to the code you have created to determine what i am doing wrong.

    I have tried so many varions such as $query = $row_rs['DATEDIFF(flatshares_pd.date_expired_pd, current_date)'];
    The custom trigger will not allow me to get the DATEDIFF from a recordset as there must be something im leaving out.
    This one line of code is messing everthing up.
    If i use a simple $query = "2"; to represent 2 days then it all works. But of course not everyone will have more or less than 2 days to add.

    hey all ok so my standard warranty for my macbook expires tomorrow and i have some minor problems to take care of that i just haven't had time for so i was wondering will they still honor the warranty even though it expires tomorrow or can i still buy the extended procare package? any help is appreciated thanks!!!

    If you click on the Support Tab and scroll to the bottom.You can enter the MB's Serial # and it will tell you exactly when the warranty expires.
    Seeing as you said you're having problems with your MacBook,I wouldn't wait till the last second and risk not having a warranty.

  • NIghtmare - Brand new S230u from major retailer: Lenovo says warranty expired

    I just purchased a new (sealed) Lenovo S230u factory box with security tape on both ends unopened, with no additional tape, from a major online retailer that also have physical stores in selected States.
    It is a refurnished machine, according to the major retailer website, it has 90 days warranty from Lenovo with Levono phone number etc. Having bought several 1000+ Thinkpad and 3000 desktop from IBM, with the *very good* price offered and manufacture warranty, I am willing for the first time to try out the Thinkpads after it is owned by a Chinese company Lenovo. I had been very skeptical whether the Chinese company Lenovo would provide the same level of support as IBM. And this is where the nightmare begins.
    I called and checked with the online retailer and they had a few hundred machines but I bought one of the last one they have in stock since it went to SOLD OUT within hours. I confirmed with them they are factory refurnished machines and they had hundreds of them. With the low price and short warranty, I made sure I have the ability to purchase extended warranty and went to Levono online chat for warranty to confirm how much it would cost to buy extended warranty and that shipping for any needed service is free BOTH ways.  My last machine was HP and I loved how they provided two way free shipping and excellent technical support service. HP helped me fix an unexpected motherboard issue, deemed manufacturer’s defect and replaced it for free.  No way I am buying any laptop with worse off warranty for a cheap price.   The agent confirmed that I will be able to buy extended warranty with 2-way free shipping but need to receive the machine and give them the serial no. for a quote.
    I felt safe, guaranteed by BOTH the online retailer and Lenovo and went ahead with my purchase.
    Having read online discussions, I am very cautious to buy refurnished machines sold on eBay, non-major retailers that may switch off parts and discredit the warranty. I still checked that machine came with security tape sealed on both ends, nothing was altered. 
    However, when I started using the machine, I realized that it said my warranty expired! I called Levono immediately and the first agent gave me the lenovo_pop email address to send in my warranty and told me they can update and extend it for a year - I thought WOW, great if it is one year. I had tech issues as I performed a series of windows, lenovo, microsoft updates randomly, and getting some registry error message and wanted tech support to guide me quickly to restore to factory condition but the request was denied because warranty expired! Furthermore, he said they do NOT honor any warranty of refurnished machine NOT sold by lenovo.com! WHAT??? That is NOT what they informed me from online support BEFORE i purchased the machine!! And if my warranty end date is AFTER the day I called, they could have easily helped me? The machine expired 1/14/2014 (a year from manufacturer’s date) and I bought it beginning of Feb 2014. Oh great, I guess the few hundred customers that bought the same machine a few weeks before me won’t have this problem as I bought the last few machines – no wonder the cheap price for a wonderful laptop.
    This issue was stretched out for weeks! With my case no. CLOSED – reason: no customer contact, when I was waiting for the agent who promised to call me back AFTER I emailed to Lenovo my proof of purchase twice to different emails -  yet no one called. An agent then told me new info saying that the major retailer should be responsible to contact Lenovo. Then another agent said they don't honor any third party refurnished machine, even major retailers!! Another case no. opened and a supervisor escalated to a different Lenovo team with screen captures of links to retailer product page, warranty info, as well as  my conversation with the Lenovo rep, yet I still receive no resolution 10 days after. This is night and day experience compared to previous IBM or HP experience I had. All contradicting info and the customer penalized.
    With the major retailer, I have escalated the issue twice to supervisors, yet the Lenovo closed the first case no. when Lenovo supposed to call me back and the retailer couldn't do much while I still didnt' hear back from the second supervisor but they extended my 14 days return policy to 30 days. Their name not mentioned yet, because unlike Levono, the low level support person called me daily to follow up while I have been chasing after Lenovo every few days and know it would be ignored if I don’t keep pushing it.
    This is madness, and if for the diligent cautious buyer I am, this is what I go through from a major online retailer,  I can not imagine what a normal buyer would go through. Loyal customers should NOT be the ones who pays for this.
    I sincerely hope something can be resolved within a day before my extended return date expired and a senior forum administrator can help me. If not, at least loyal and potential customers would know that things like this could happen and consider this before you buy a refurbished levono anywhere other than Lenovo, and you can be the judge whether Lenovo and it’s policies are worth supporting. 
    To be honest, I loved IBM, I love my new laptop and I just want the technical support I deserve to check on some potential driver issue and windows 8.1 upgrade support. I want to be able to perhaps buy the extended warranty that was promised. The peace of mind. Now I even have doubt about the company and whether to spend extra money for protection that does not protect customers!  To be fair, 90% of the many agents/supervisor I talked to have been professional and helpful which made the process tolerable. The reason I waited so long to post this message on a public forum. It just seems like their system, policies and communication between departments are ridiculous and customers are penalized for it.  If you don’t honor ANY third party refurbished warranty - deal with your wholesale agents, retailers, don't sell new or refurbished machines to them. Your loyal customers should NOT be penalized for it and make sure that customers are well informed if they do simple research! Information across departments should be consistent. And the supervisors of the departments should be able to honor and fix a mistake related to wrong info (if it was wrong) provided by another Lenovo department and handle things in a TIMELY manner. I should not have to spent over 15 hours on this for nearly a month! This is NOT what I expect from a top computer company in the US market. Something needs to be done so other loyal customers do not have to go through this and also ensure that customers who support Lenovo would NOT fall into traps of dishonest merchants.

  • Iphone 4 no audio after 1 year (warranty expired)

    I bought 2 Iphone 4 in 2010 from Digi Centre, Queensbay Mall in Penang state, Malaysia. The warranty has past 1 year expired date. Today one of the Iphone 4 purchased finally get the problem of no ringing tone. When plug in the headphone, the audio is working fine. The Digi Centre said it will take 2-3 weeks to get it fix as they need to send to headquarter to probe the problems.
    Meanwhile, they borrow me an old Nokia handphone. It is a sad experience when your experience of today technology come to a halt due to this, i heard some 4S unit also having the same problem with no ringing tone, after some time. Hope they can develop patches to solve this stupid hardware audio issue, it bring alot of inconveniences to me.
    The other unit of Iphone 4 is working properly.
    Very unfortunate, the local service centre has no immediate fix or solution, my impression of Apple product has drop as it is made in China, some batch are faulty they didn't pay enough attention to the quality mission they pledged.
    Should I change to Iphone 4S or wait for Iphone 5 because I already sad with my Iphone4 case after 1 year this stupid hardware defect start to creep in my life as a result I'm punished for 2-3 weeks of inconveniences, probably will have to pay more to get it repair as warranty has lapsed after 1 year. Thanks to all the China good and quality control that we have to experience inconveniences after 1 year.
    I'm likely to wait for Iphone 5 for longer battery and better patch hopefully to address the hardware audio suddenly die off after 1 year by itself.

    It only take a day to get things checked and fix. The Chairman of the branch Mr. Ricky Ooi has helped me to replace the buzzer. Apparently some water vapor leaked into the buzzer, fortunately it doesn't sip into the main board.
    For all Penang Iphone4 folks who accidentally or somehow like my case, please visit the shop to get on time replacement and fixes.
    Very thankful for his team support, and now I don't have to live without Iphone4 for 2-3 weeks as was told earlier when i surrendered my iphone4. Now I will look for him and seek his advise to upgrade to Iphone 4S or wait for Iphone 5, this case really awakened me to be cautious next time.
