Help with tcl script with labview

I am trying to run a program using tcl script via labview.
Currently I am using wish80 tcl to run it. And it works fine.
I tried using example I found on NI website called Run Tcl Script.vi
I will attach the vi and the tcl file. Hope someone will have a idea what I am doing wrong.
Thanks
please change the testpairs2.txt to testpairs2.tcl as it is not letting me attach as tcl.

Hi randyram,
try the referenced labview example with your parameters. I guess there are some changes on the OS. (actual OS with LV6.1 to XP) :-)
LabView Online Help:
"Refer to the Calling System Exec VI in the labview\examples\comm directory for an example of using the System Exec VI."

  • Regexp problem with TCL Script

    Hello,
    I'm having some troubles with my regexp in a tcl script.
    My switch 3750 doesn't want to compil my script if there is [0-9] or \d in my script ...
    After a show energywise children I'm doing:
    set intd [ regexp -all -line -inline "1\/0\/." $result ]
    ($result is the show energywise cli result)
    It work with interfaces from 1/0/1to9.
    set intd [ regexp -all -line -inline "1\/0\/.." $result ]
    It work with interfaces from 1/0/10to48
    but i need to have all interfaces in the same regexp, why "1\/0\/[0-9]+" or "1\/0\/\d+" don't work ?
    Here is my ios : c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-53.SE1.bin
    Anybody have a clue ?

  • How to run .tcl scripts with VTK?

    I have a bunch of .tcl scripts that use VTK. How do I run them? I have tcl/tk/vtk installed, but when I try to run `tclsh script.tcl` it outputs errors about VTK. On other distros i saw a binary named `vtk` that could run .tcl scripts out of the box. Is there something like this on Arch?
    Thanks.

    Hi, vtk is in community. It should supply the tcl bindings. I once was the maintainer when it was in AUR. It works here with the tcl examples that come with the vtk package. Have not tested the version in community yet.

  • Can anyone help with Automator/Scripts with Mail Items

    I have a set up a smart folder in mail and it shows about 100 emails. These vary in content, addresses and recipients. The emails also have an extended threads.
    I need to generate a report with the emails (including threads) by subject time, date. etc.
    It will need to analyse the From: To: Date: Time: Subject: for each of the top email and also (all the threads within each email).
    How could Automator be scripted to do such a task. Manually it will be very time consuming and difficult.
    1. I am a newbee to automator and scripting is this likely to be beyond me?
    2. Are there any good sources of scripts available on the web which could be adapted?
    3. What is the recommended reading for writing, applying and using Scripting?

  • How to run tcl scripts with arguments on OMBPlus

    Hi,
    I am trying to deploy mappings from OMBPlus. I could do it by saving step by step commands to a tcl file and run it on OMBPlus as
    source e:\\mi\\test.tcl
    Contents of test.tcl is:
    =======================
    OMBCONNECT owbdesigner/owbdesigner@humistst:1521:mistst
    OMBCC 'S80_DWH_PROJECT'
    OMBCONNECT RUNTIME 'CONN_MISTST' USE PASSWORD 'owbruntime'
    OMBCC 'S80_OWBTARGET'
    OMBCREATE TRANSIENT DEPLOYMENT_ACTION_PLAN \
    'CRE_MAP' ADD ACTION 'MAPPING_DEPLOY' \
    SET PROPERTIES (OPERATION) \
    VALUES ('CREATE') SET REFERENCE MAPPING \
    'DWH_BA_MAPPING'
    OMBDEPLOY DEPLOYMENT_ACTION_PLAN 'CRE_MAP'
    puts "Mapping Deployed..."
    OMBDISC
    ===========================
    Now i want to pass mapping name as argument/parameter, so that my script can work dynamically. I tried following in test.tcl:
    OMBCONNECT owbdesigner/owbdesigner@humistst:1521:mistst
    set mapname [lindex $argv 1]
    OMBCC 'S80_DWH_PROJECT'
    OMBCONNECT RUNTIME 'CONN_MISTST' USE PASSWORD 'owbruntime'
    OMBCC 'S80_OWBTARGET'
    OMBCREATE TRANSIENT DEPLOYMENT_ACTION_PLAN \
    'CRE_MAP' ADD ACTION 'MAPPING_DEPLOY' \
    SET PROPERTIES (OPERATION) \
    VALUES ('CREATE') SET REFERENCE MAPPING \
    '$mapname'
    OMBDEPLOY DEPLOYMENT_ACTION_PLAN 'CRE_MAP'
    puts "Mapping Deployed..."
    OMBDISC
    and, run it as follows on OMBPlus
    source e:\\mi\\test_map.tcl DWH_BA_MAPPING
    then it is giving error for invalid arguments.
    Can anybody help me to sort it out.
    Many Thanks.
    Deepali

    As Jorg said, you can pass command line arguments when you start OMBPlus.
    If you want to pass parameters from within OMB, just create a proc and then run it...
    proc deployMap {mapName} {
         set mapName [string toupper $mapName]
         OMBCONNECT owbdesigner/owbdesigner@humistst:1521:mistst
         OMBCC 'S80_DWH_PROJECT'
         OMBCONNECT RUNTIME 'CONN_MISTST' USE PASSWORD 'owbruntime'
         OMBCC 'S80_OWBTARGET'
         OMBCREATE TRANSIENT DEPLOYMENT_ACTION_PLAN \
              'CRE_MAP' ADD ACTION 'MAPPING_DEPLOY' \
              SET PROPERTIES (OPERATION) \
              VALUES ('CREATE') SET REFERENCE MAPPING \
              '$mapname'
         OMBDEPLOY DEPLOYMENT_ACTION_PLAN 'CRE_MAP'
         puts "Mapping Deployed..."
         OMBDISC
    }Run it like this
    deployMap <map_name>You can automatically load the proc when you start OMBPlus but putting it into ombinit.tcl (or put it in another file and put "source myprocs.tcl" at the bottom of ombinit.tcl).

  • Update a filed value with powershell script with ordery by and where condition

    Hi
    I have below powershell script to update list columns but  how i update a field value with ordery by a column and where condition
    below is the part of my script
    $list = $web.Lists[$listName]
    $items = $list.items
    $internal_counter = 1
    #Go through all items
    foreach($item in $items)
    if($item["CourtNO"] -eq $null)
    #if($item["CourtNo"] -eq '1')
    $item["CaseNo"] = $internal_counter
    #how to add a column ordery by Title
    # and where Title field value from 1 to 10
    $internal_counter++
    adil

    Hi,
    You mean that you only need to update all items with Title field value in range 1..10 and order by them before run the loop statement update?
    If so, use CAML query to get the items only match the condition.
    #Build Query
    $spQuery = New-Object Microsoft.SharePoint.SPQuery
    $query = '<Where><And><Gte><FieldRef Name="Title" /><Value Type="Text">0</Value></Gte><Lte><FieldRef Name="Title" /><Value Type="Text">10</Value></Lte></And></Where><OrderBy><FieldRef
    Name="Title"/></OrderBy>'
    $spQuery.Query = $query
    $spQuery.RowLimit = $list.ItemCount
    $items = $list.GetItems($spQuery)
    Hope this help!

  • Microsoft Office:mac 2011 want work with my script made in Microsoft Windows. May  be there is a file Problem.

    Hello!
    Two years ago i made a script with a microsoft windows PC, using "Office Word".
    Last year i changed my Hardware into apple Mac ,using Yosemite 10.10.3.
    To work on with my script with apple i use Microsoft Office:mac 2011 Home and Student, but it want work. It is deeply frozen and very very slow. Mouse is not working normally. Pages are scrolling automatically. There is a Problem in kompatilibility between the file of my script (written by using a microsoft PC) and the apple computer e.g. Office:mac.
    Someone who can help?
    Ev

    Apple support is not an expert source for Microsoft scripts, if Microsoft can't figure out their own software you'll just have to wait until someone who has had, and cured the issue.
    Sorry.

  • Nexus 7000 Interactive Action with TCL or Python

    hello, Team
    Does anybody know how we can trigger interactive action with EEM?
    Cu hope to execute some command sets to another device with specific event.
    I've tried to test with TCL/Python with CLI but interactive mode didn't support by CLI/EXEC.
        N7K_1-tcl# cli "telnet localhost"
        Cannot run interactive command with cli/exec prefix.
        N7K_1-tcl#
    Is there any idea to work this scenario properly?
    Or Anybody guide where is the TCL Library can use inside of N7K?
    Just it looks simple, but couldn't work it easy in N7K.
    Hope to get any clever idea from experts
    Best Regards
    Jaemi Lee

    There isn't any mail action support in NX-OS EEM.  However, EEM 5.x provides the ability to execute a tclsh script from an EEM applet.  You could use Tcl to send your email.  The tcllib package at http://tcllib.sourceforge.net/ offers an smtp.tcl library in the mime module.  You can use this to send your email.

  • Looking for ACE Probe TCL script specific for LDAPS

    Hello Everyone,
    I have searched the forum, and i am having difficulty finding an example of how to modify the LDAP TCL probe from port 389 to secure LDAP port 636.
    Could someone kindly point me or provide me the modified TCL script if you happen to have it.
    During my search I also found a config that someone had provided, which contained the following probe:
    probe tcp LDAPS_Probe
      port 636
    probe tcp LDAP_Probe
      port 389
    I was trying to figure out if this a modified TCL script for LDAP or modifed TCP TCL script specific for port 636.
    This is how I applied the script for LDAP port 389.
    script file 1 LDAP_PROBE
    probe scripted LDAP_PROBE_389
    interval 5
    passdetect interval 30
    receive 5
    script LDAP_PROBE
    serverfarm host SF-LDAP-389
    description SF LDAP Port 389
    predictor leastconns
    probe LDAP_PROBE_389
    rserver LDAP-RS1-389
    inservice
    I will be more than glad to provide you any additional information that you need.
    As always thanks for your input.

    normally you would engage a TCL developer or ciso advanced services to develop a custom script for anything other than what Cisco provides in canned scripts. If you are comfortable with tcl you can do it yourself. Here is an example of the LDAP script modified to include initiation via ssl.  default port is 389 when you implement you would specify 636.
    #!name = LDAP_PROBE
    # Description:
    #    LDAP_PROBE opens a TCP connection to an LDAP server, sends a bind request. and
    #    determines whether the bind request succeeds.  LDAP_PROBE then closes the
    #    connection with a TCP RST.
    #    If a port is specified in the "probe scripted" configuration, the script probes
    #     each suspect on that port. If no port is specified, the default LDAP port 389
    #     is used.
    # Success:
    #   The script succeeds if the server returns a bind response indicating success
    #    (status code 0x0a0100) to the bind request.
    #   The script closes the TCP connection with a RST following a successful attempt.
    # Failure:
    #   The script fails due to timeout if the response is not returned.  This
    #    includes a failure to receive ARP resolution, a failure to create a TCP connection
    #    to the port, or a failure to return a response to the LDAP bind request.
    #   The script also fails if the server bind response does not indicate success.
    #    This specific error returns the 30002 error code.
    #   The script closes any attempted TCP connection, successful or not, with a RST.
    #  PLEASE NOTE:  This script expects the server LDAP bind response to specify length
    #   in ASN.1 short definite form.  Responses using other length forms (e.g., long
    #   definite length form) will require script modification to achieve success.
    # SCRIPT version: 1.0       April 1, 2008
    # Parameters:
    #   [DEBUG]
    #      username - user login name
    #      password - password
    #      DEBUG        - optional key word 'DEBUG'. default is off
    #         Do not enable this flag while multiple probe suspects are configured for this
    #         script.
    # Example config :
    #   probe scripted USE_LDAP_PROBE
    #         script LDAP_PROBE
    #   Values configured in the "probe scripted" configuration populate the
    #   scriptprobe_env array.  These may be accessed or manipulated if desired.

  • IOS-XR reachability-check TCL script

    Hi there,
    I'm currently playing with TCL scripts to prepare for my CCIE lab exam. The main purpose I'm gonna use them is to
    check the reachability within ISP IGP domain and/or L3VPN domain.
    Currently I'm facing the following issue: I'm unable to specify the source address used to run ping:
    % tclsh
    foreach address {
    2010::2
    2010::3
    2010::4
    2010::5
    2010::6
    2010::7
    } { ping $address source lo0
    % % Invalid parameter(s)
    child process exited abnormally
    Can somebody kindly help me out to modify the script so that ping is sourced from conifgured interface?
    Thanks in advance

    try this. Note, you have to set your source address:
    set loop0 2010::1
    foreach address {
    2010::2
    2010::3
    2010::4
    2010::5
    2010::6
    2010::7
    } { ping6 -S $loop0 $address

  • Cannot generate IP using TCL script

    I'm trying to pull in a customized PCIe block from a .xci file using my TCL script with Vivado 2015.2 on Ubuntu 12.04.  I then want to generate all the IP output products and run through the entire design flow (to eventually generate a bitfile).  When I try to call create_fileset on my PCIe IP, I get the following error:
    ERROR: [Vivado 12-3563] The Nested sub-design '/home/coreyolson/workspace/build/EX850_GUPS/EX850_GUPS.srcs/sources_1/ip/pcie3_ultrascale_0/ip_0/pcie3_ultrascale_0_gt.xci' can only be generated by its parent sub-design.
    I'm attaching my vivado log file, which hopefully will provide some insight into the problem...

    I'm not well versed in TCL, It seems the prob in the SIP sessions. Can u enable PRACK on the Dial peer and the SIP profile associated SIP trunk and chk. U can enable by folowing the below steps.
    CUBE
    dial-peer level:
                                  dial-peer voice XXXX voip
                  voice-class sip rel1xx require 100rel
    CUCM
                   Device -> Device settings -> Sip profile -> Trunk Specific Configuration
                                  SIP Rel1XX Options Required Field : Send Prack if 1xx contains SDP

  • Cisco's Network Registrar and LDAP (tcl script)

    Hi all,
    I use CNR version 7.1. I use ldap for authentication user. I have a problem if ldap server not available. I want with tcl script to know what ldap not available and send to user default configuration (ip,dns)
    How I can transfer in tcl a script that the server ldap isn't accessible? where i can found error code for this ?
    Thanks
    Roman

    Hi Habeel,
    I've answered this question before. If you search the forum for "ldap healtcheck script" - and yes the typo is real then you'll see what I did.
    The text is here:
    The easiest way is to capture a packet with the authentication credentials and then replace the hex bind string in the example.
    The alternative is to handcode the BER coded ASN.1 data string - which while more fun is time consuming. The remainder of the script can stay the same.
    I've done this on an ACE module. You have to be aware that 300c02010160 in the example script string is a sort of "header" that holds the request id (1). This will be different in your packet capture.
    If you look at the decomposition of the example you'll be able to see how it is put together and what you need to change.
    0x30 The start of a universal constructed sequence
    0x0c The length of the sequence minus the tag and length bytes = 12 bytes
    0x02 Next field is an integer
    0x01 The length of the next field (1 byte)
    0x01 Value (this is the message ID)
    0x60 Application, number 0, use RFC2251 to decode. This is a Bind Request
    0x07 Length of data to follow.
    0x02 Integer
    0x01 Length 1
    0x03 3 - this is the LDAP version.
    0x04 String
    0x00 Length 0
    0x80 Simple Authentication
    0x00 Length 0
    Just keep the id the same in the unbind.
    The string I use is:
    302d02010160280201030418636e3d41636550726f78792c6f3d556e69766572736974798009ffffffffffffffffff
    where I've replaced the 9 character password with 9*x'ff'.
    The username for binding is AceProxy. If you want to use the same script then create that username and set the password in the string above (in hex). If for example you set the password to Example12 then you need to set the 9*x'ff' to '4578616d706c653132' - which is the hex representation of the ASCII.
    Note that if you use fewer or more than 9 characters then you'll need to change other values in the string because they refer to lengths.
