Ms 6758 - no display, no boot....pls help
Please help
I have an ms 6758 sitting in a thermaltake box and the whole thing refuses to boot
I have four green lights on the d-bracket ( which I believe indicates a successful boot ) but I have no display.
A little history. Friend asked if I would look at his machine, xp was running slowly, graphics card didnt seem to be recognised, audio card was not recognised...disk access extremely slow etc etc...rebooted his box and received a message that there was no bios settings found and it asked me if I would like to flash it...I said yes
Machine then went black, no display and intermittent beeps which went on for at least 10 minutes..nothing displayed all this time
rebooted the machine, and nothing....no beeps, no display, no power to keyboard ( tried ps2 and usb ), oddly though there is power to the optical mouse...
machine's fans all power up, cd/dvd drives all flash and look like good....just no display at all...
I have tried a new cmos battery, tried resetting using the jumpers...still no good.. I have also disconnected the fans etc, in case it was some sort of power problem but this makes no difference...
There is some initial whirr from the hdd when I power on, but thats over in a second or two and the machine just sits there, fans powering away forever and a day.
Someone please help, has this machine gone way past the stage where I should attempt to reinstall the bios via diskette ?
I attempted to fix this machine for a friend and through my own ineptitude, I appear to have matters a lot worse...

Most likely due to bad flash, the mobo might have went dead. As the old saying goes Quote

Imo you can alway choose to reinstall window or clear cmos or change the cmos batt if bios is not recognised before going ahead to flash but you choose to flash it and turn out is even worse than initial

NO Display on BOOT ? HELP NEEDED IMMEDIATELY
Im having a problem on boot as nothing seems to appear once i turn on the system !
I was previously running a 3.0 P4 HT on the same board i.e 875P Neo FIS2R and now i got a new board so i deciced to make a new spare machine so i used the 875P board on the specs below :-
P4 1.8
seagate 40 GB HDD
Ti4200 GPU
Kingston 512 333Mhz Ram
CD rom
The problem now is that nothing appears as i power up the system !
The processor fan is running, the D Bracket shows all 4 green lights, the GPU fan is running ! NB fan is running ! all system fans r running but no display ! :S
I tried another GPU and still nothing happened!! I tried another set of RAMS ! Still nothing.
Could some1 pls tell me what the problem might be cause i tried the CMOS jumper issue but still nothing happeneed !
My PSU rails are mentioned in the SIG as im using the same casing !!! but that shouldnt be an issue cause my previous system was consuming more power as it was running smoothlyy!
I would appreciate if some1 could tell me ASAP what i can do to fix this problem!the SAME thing happened to an ASUS mobo i had, i rma'd it once and the 2nd board did the same thing, i tried all sorts of ram, 4 different video cards, and all sorts of configurations.
ive never fixed it and that asus P4T board sits in a box until i can find time to mess with it.
hhmm what does the D-bracket show ?
also did you move the J1 jumper over and turn the system on, it says not to but ive found the bios is only cleared when the system is powered on, but you may want to simply move the jumper over,, let it sit for 10 sec, then move the jumper back, if nothing happens, move the jumper to reset,, turn on the system and see what happens.
if THAT dont work,
can you put your old system all back together and make it work ?
no video,, no post/bios beeps. nothing at all.
make VERY sure the cpu is in all the way. make VERY sure the back of the mobo is not touching the backside of the case as this will short out the mobo and generally make it go poof.
unplug all devices and only have video card and ram and cpu in.
no mouse no keyboard.
if you get video, add the mouse,, then the keyboard, 1 device at a time until you get the system to stop booting, you will then know whats causing the problem.
alternately you can pull out the video card and you SHOULD get bios beeps, or the D-Bracket should show that there is no video card.
if nothing happens , no beeps no dbracket when you pull out the video card then the system is crashing prior to video start, which puts you back to cpu, ram, or a power issue. or a blown motherboard.
its also possible that when you did the switch you may have electrostaticlly zapped the mobo, and that my friend is going to require you to RMA the mobo. -
Large number of attributes reduces data display in Query (PLS HELP).

We have newly upgraded our system to 7.0, Currently i have a Query based on master data info object(0 equipment) which contain several attributes, due to huge number of attributes, i cannot see data for few attributes( Ex:-0service descrip), but data exists for these atrrib, when i check in RSA1. my client want to use heavy number of 0Euipment numbers(nearly 10000) in selection screen. thats the reason for data not to be seen.
WE are under SP 16 also(Note 562162 - Additional selection of attribute reduces query result set is allready exists), and did not found any proper note.
So guru's can any one please tell me how i can get the data in Query for these attribute by keeping the same selection option for Equipment numbers (10000).
Dude's give me some good suggestion please...client is waiting from 1 week

990FXA-GD80 wont boot pls help
i got meself a 990FXA-GD80 mainbord with FX1850 3.6 CPU put it all in got it to turn on but had to order a new sata cd drive wile i wait for it to come PC world is sallin a IDE to Sata converter so i grabed on so i could get windows loaded on pluged it all in turned me computer on an nothin well i say nothin all the bord powers up all me little blue light come on fans all go round but it wont start to boot an the debug leds just show up ff really quick then changes to 19 an nothin eles happens thanks Paul

i've an iphone 3.1.3. sometimes, i have problems opening all the apps i downloaded in the past 4 months. other apps would open but the recent ones will begin to boot and then close itself. once, it persisted for over a week. it staarted again this evening, pls help as am frustrated. NB- i checked for apps update but all my apps are up-to-date. CT
Try the usual steps: restart, reset, restore.

If restoring using a backup doesn't help, try restoring the iPhone to factory settings and try for a while with just the Apple-included apps, to make sure it's not an issue with a third-party app. If it still has problems, it may have a hardware problem and will need to be sent to Apple.

I have use the utility disk and format the machintos drive , and use Extended (Journaled , Encrypted) , it ask me for a password (typed the password, confirmed the password - done) , after that i tried to install a fresh copy of Lion (i waited to be downloded from apple.com - done) after that it said that the fresh copy it will be installed and it will reboot by itself -> done ... from here the problem it's starting .... now my macbook air , it dosent start anymore it keep showming me, instaid of the apple sign from the start , a sign like the one from ghost busters (but without the ghost in it ) , i have tried to boot from cd , from usb , nothing dosent seams to be working.
If anyone know a solution to this problem, pls HELP! Thank you in advance...
p.s. before i had 2 hard drives that show up when i press the ALT button (machintos hd and utility drive, or something like that) now.. the only thing that it's showing me is : mac os base system , and if i try to use partition magic or something else, from a usb, it will tell me something about a bootguard , but i don't know how to insert the password.Glad your issue is fixed. Pls help - Displaying Simplified Chinese characters
Hi all,
I am using Servlet to generate HTML.
When I use setContentType="charset=big5" and out.println(" . . . ."); with Big-5 Traditional Chinese characters, everything is fine.
However, when I use setContentType="charset=gb2312" and out.println(" . . . ."); with GB2312 Simplified Chinese characters, everything is trash with some ??????.
The internet browser in both cases can correctly set to the appropriate character set, that is, in the 1st case it is big5 and in the 2nd case it is gb2312.
Pls helpIt should be because the font provided cannot handle the characters. Java only ever sprays question marks or rectangles at you if the font you're using is incapable of displaying what you're trying to show.
I'd imagine that the system's default font is capable of displaying Big5 Chinese characters quite happily if it's working on the page. The problem will come when you switch the encoding of the page and the characters within it. The same default font obviously can't display GBK stuff. So switching the font (probably through the use of <FONT face=""> tags) might do the trick.

yesterday i connect my iPhone with iTunes then one MSG displayed on screen about backup i ignore that but same time i have lost all my installed apps incouled my pics and vids from my iPhone pls help me.
1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

after trying out some add on's and even after disabling them, and even after reinstalling firefox afresh, i'm unable to open most of the websites(including gmail, hotmail, facebook etc).where as my other browsers works quite fine. the message keeps displaying that the "connection is untrusted"...pls help fellas...thank you

Hard reset Simultaneously press the sleep/wake and the home buttons for 10-15 seconds until the device reboots (ignore the shutdown screen).

My 8520 may have picked up a virus.
Screen shows the Blackberry is turning on (i.e. the white rebooting strip), but that stays approximately two thirds of the way and nothing more happens. Pls help. I've taken the battery out several times and even tried a different batter and sim card, with no luck.

I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.

The method createScreen() creates the first screen wherein the user makes a selection if he wants all the data ,in a range or single data.The problem comes in when the user makes a selection of single.that then displays the singleScreen() method.Then the user has to input a key data like date or invoice no on the basis of which all the information for that set of data is selected.Now if the user inputs a wrong key that does not exist for the first time the program says invalid entry of data,after u click ok on the option pane it prompts him to enter the data again.But since then whenever the user inputs wrong data the program says wrong data but after displaying the singlescreen again does not wait for input from the user it again flashes the option pane with the invalid entry message.and this goes on doubling everytime the user inputs wrong data.the second wrong entry of data flashes the error message twice,the third wrong entry flashes the option pane message 4 times and so on.What actually happens is it does not wait at the singlescreen() for user to input data ,it straight goes into displaying the JOptionPane message for wrong data entry so we have to click the optiion pane twice,four times and so on.

I had a similar problem with a message dialog. Don't know if it is a bug, I was in a hurry and had no time to search the bug database... I found a solution by using keyPressed() and keyReleased() instead of keyTyped():
