HFM Process Management Alerting Config.
I am unable to get the Process Management Alerting to work.
Once I click on OK after changing the review level, the window just hangs there (cannot switch to it).
Does not send out an email.
I get this error in the IIS log ...
+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+Windows+NT+5.1;+SV1;+.NET+CLR+1.1.4322;+InfoPath.1;+.NET+CLR+2.0.50727) 500 0 0
The HFM config has the right smtp listed.
I have tested the email settings etc. on the server and can send emails using telnet.
Any ideas / suggestions would be much appreciated.
Ah ... and the version info may be useful .... 9.3.1

This turned out to be a bug in the system and was resolved lby
regasm /codebase ..../maiiler.dll
from the cmd prompt
no restart / reboot needed.

HFM process control alerting only while submitting
Hi,
I want to use the email alerting for process management. All settings are done and everything works fine.
But I want to limit the alerting to the submit process. It means, the system should send a mail only if the user submits the process to the admin.
There are no settings in Shared Services or anywhere!!?
Is it possible to manipulate a asp or jsp file to limit this functionality?
Version is 11.1.1.3
Thanks in advance!
Stefan
Edited by: StLanger on Jul 25, 2012 4:59 AMHi,
thanks, but this is not my problem.
The system only should send a message if the status is changing to "Submitted".
Example: User Frank has the roles Reviewer3 and Submitter. Normally he gets 2 mails. The first one if the process switch to RL3 and the second if the process switch to Submitted. But he dont want a mail if the process switch to RL3, only if Submitted.
Is there a way to do this? Can i "hack" a special asp file?

Hi,
in HFM, we use the submission group and submission phases to manage the phased process management. I have one questions regarding this submission group/submission phase.
For example, I have accounts dimension members revenue, and balance sheet, and also C1 for products, P1, P2, P3.
In HFM, can I have the submission phased by accounts AND c1.
For example, I would like to have revenue->P1 to be in the phase 1, balance sheet in Phase 2, revenue->P2 in phase 3. The normal setup, is that I can give revenue: submission group 1, and balance sheet: sub group 2, and then P1 : sub group 1, and P2: sub group 3. In this setup, since revenue is already sub grp1, I can not have one sub group assigned to different sub phases. It seems that I can not do the phased submission as I wished.
Am I right? Any workaround or suggestion/advices? Thanks in advanceRaul,
I think that maybe I do not state my problem clearly.
Yes. I already enable the metadata for phase submission, including accounts dimension, and C1 to C4 dimensions.
However, if I would like to have different submission phases for same account, but different C1 dimension member. How can I assign the submission group to same account member, but different C1 dimension members to achieve the different submission phase?
Since one account member can only have one submission group, and each C1 member has different submission group as well. In this case, when I assign the submission group to different phases, I can not have same submission group in two different phases. Then I can not do achieve the submission phase, for example, sales for Product 1 in Phase 2, and sales for Product 2 in Phase 5, etc.
Any other suggestions?

HFM, Process Management, NO ACCESS Issue
Gurus !,
Users have a Reviewer 1-3 role with submitter role as well, however, when they try to access a Scenario that has "Process Management" = "Y", they get NOACCESS.
I think it is beacause of the Process Management setup and the calc status shows as SC, CN or LOCKED (when logged in with Process Super role)
Process Level shows ... NOT Started ... so the questions becomes ... can a reviewer 1 see data when the process level shows "Not Started" ?
Thanks in anticipation ... ,
Edited by: user10940595 on Jun 8, 2010 6:22 AMOne more question: how exactly is the "No Access" information displayed? That is, what exactly is the error message you get? For example, users in Financial Reports may intermittently get an "access denied" message when trying to run a report there. In that case, the issue has nothing to do with permissions of the users but is instead a DCOM bug in Windows. Having the exact message may help us see if you are experiencing a different problem than data access.

Deactivate HFM process Management
Dear Experts,
What are the consequences on historical data if I disable Process management for all scenarios except ACTUAL?
Thanks for your help.
BenoitHi Benoit,
If you are referring to the enable process management option in scenario attributes, disabling this will allow users to be able to change data to previous periods. This will be similar to removing the protection from old excel files.
Is there any specific reason of doing something like that?

Promote HFM Process Management using FDM Financial Controls
Hi Folks
Has anybody tried to enable this feature of FDM 11.1.1.3? I've set the integration setting to On but I can't find any documentation on how to use the feature....
CheersI found the answer to my problem. The process was not working because I had set the Value for the location to Entity Currency;Entity Curr Adjs to allow journal posting. FDM was trying to evaluate the process mgt status for the process unit and was sending through Entity Currency;Entity Curr Adjs to HFM as a Value member. HFM quite rightly denied all knowledge of such a member which in turn generated an error.
By changing the code in the ContorlsSubmit action to just take Entity Currency, the feature worked fine. -
Process Management and Security Roles
Hi guys,
I haven't worked too much with security, and now I have to define the users that will be related to the Process Management cycle. Is there any specific role for each phase? Are all the phases necessary?
Thanks!
AnnaHi Anna,
I think that the first and most important step of your task is to understand who the information flows in your organisation. Ask your customer/users how the flow of the information would have been if they did not have HFM. Designing a couple of charts and having your customers to sign-off this process is quite important in my experience.
As soon as you understand which business roles should deliver/review information to the next business role, then start designing the HFM process management.
The first level of Process management is the Not Started. At this level no user can import data except the administrator
The second level of Process management is the First Pass. At this level all users can input data without restrictions.
The third level of Process management is the Review Levels. You have 10 Review Levels per submission. However, one to five review levels is quite enough for most organisations. Consider that the more review levels the more complex your process is. My personal opinion is that 4 review levels are quite good for the majority of the organisations. At RL1, the inputer will input the data, at RL2 the finance director will review the data, at RL3 the hub/region director will review the data and finally at RL4 the group users will review the data.
The review level 4 that I mentioned, can be substitute by the next set of levels which is submit, approve and publish. The status "publish" will allow the entity to be locked which means that not even the administrator will not be able to change the data or calculate the entity.
There are many combinations of how you can setup the process management, so if you have specific questions please let us know.

How to config the proxy of Bpel process manager(with password)
HI, i met the quetion as below
The The Oracle BPEL Process Designer & Manager server is installed on my computer in domin of my company, so if One of the BPEL processes deployed on the BPEL server needs to access a synchronous Web service hosted outside the firewall .i need to config the proxy, but the proxy of my company needs my ID and password to access outside . after I congfig the proxy
option of designer and build the Process, there will be pop-up a dialog box and ask for my ID & password .But how i config the proxy of Bpel process manager?? I read the tecnote about HTTP Proxy Configuration and config the proxy in the obsetenv.bat ,but it seems has no information about my ID&password in obsetenv.bat.
The question is How can i let the Bpel process manager know my proxy and ID&password ?? pls help me ,thx!I have set these value in obsetenv.bat as follows, and I restart the Bpel manager server and designer.
but the same issue still occur:
set OB_JAVA_PROPERTIES="-Djavax.wsdl.factory.WSDLFactory=oracle.j2ee.ws.wsdl.factory.WSDLFactoryImpl" "-Dhttp.proxySet=true" "-Dhttp.proxyHost=pxysha" "-Dhttp.proxyPort=8080" "-Dhttp.proxyUser=oocldm\hanfi" "-Dhttp.proxyPassword=123456" "-Dhttp.nonProxyHosts=localhost".
At the same time, I have set proxy server in bpel designer of eclipse, after I build the process,it can works well(which display BUILD SUCCESSFUL), but the bpel server display error message as below :
Exception Name:

Exception Description:
Error happened when reading wsdl at "C:\orabpel\domains\default\tmp\.bpel_TerraFlow_1.0.jar\TerraServiceRef.wsdl", because "WSDLException: faultCode=PARSER_ERROR: Error reading file: Server returned HTTP response code: 407 for URL: http://terraserver.microsoft.com/TerraService.asmx?WSDL".

How to enable https in Oracle BPEL Process Manager 10.1.2
Hi,
I have a few security related questions surrounding BPEL process manager.
1. Does the BPEL engine have the capability to invoke a web service using https (HTTP over SSL)? Does it automatically do that if partner link URI starts with https:// ?
2. If not, what needs to be done to enable accessing a https based web service?
Thanks,
VidyaEric,
I had applied the steps specified in the URL and modified the files default-web-site.xml, secure-web-site.xml and server.xml in directory Ora_Home\j2ee\home\config. Able to invoke the application deployed in Ora_Home\j2ee\home\applications successfully using https.
For securing BPEL process I had followed the same steps by modifying files default-web-site.xml, secure-web-site.xml and server.xml in directory Ora_Home\j2ee\OC4J_BPEL\config. While invoking the BPEL Processes using https protocol I am facing error “HTTP 500 - Internal server error”, after the security alert popup.
Do I need to do any other configurations for securing BPEL processes deployed in Ora_Home\integration\orabpel\domains\default\deploy directory?
Please assist me on this.
Thanks,

Problem to start BPEL Console of Oracle BPEL Process Manager 10.1.3.1.0
Hi everyone!
I'm writing to yours because I installed Oracle BPEL Process Manager 10.1.3.1.0 but I can't start BPEL Console. I tried to start it by the option menu of Windows XP and by Developer Prompt, but I get a HTTP 404 Not Found page. When I was installing the universall installer told me that it wasn't possible to set ORACLE_HOME variable because it had a value older than 1023 characteres. So, I continue the installation but I can't start the BPEL Console. The Dos Console teld me sometimes when I put http://localhost:9700/BPELConsole..timed out. So, tell me how to resolve that problem.
I'll be waiting your responses.

Greetings.Hi,
you said:
it wasn't possible to set ORACLE_HOME variable because it had a value older than 1023 characteres
What do you mean with older than 1023 chars?
I think the easiest way is to uninstall the BPEL Console and run the installer again with correcting the ORACLE_HOME problem... -
we tried to download bpel process manager 11g but as per oracle it is under Oracle Fusion Middleware 11gR1 so we have downloaded the same also.....*
but the problem is agter installation we are not getting anuthing called oracle bpel process manager and also we are not able to run soa suite..........*
Can you please suggest how we can install the same or is there any other way so that we can run bpel process manager.*Hi,
Download SOA 11.1.1.2.0 from OTN.
1. Don't forget to download RCU (Repository Configuration Utility). It is an extractable zip folder. Extract it. Navigate to its bin folder. Invoke rcu.sh/rcu.bat. It will open RCU. Choose Create. Enter your db details. In the next screen, choose SOA Infrastructure schema. Provide a schema prefix. Default would be 'DEV'. Proceed with further steps.
2. After installing 11gR1, navigate to your $ORACLE_HOME/common/bin
Invoke config.sh/config.cmd based on your OS. This will open the configuration wizard.
Choose create domain option. Enter the domain name. Select the templates: SOA Suite and Enterprise Manager. In the JDBC Datasources screen, enter the SOA schema information, db details. Complete the wizard. No need to customize anything else. This will create a SOA Domain.
3. Run the setNMProps.sh/cmd from $MW_HOME/oracle_common/common/bin folder.
4. Navigate to $MW_HOME/wlserver_10.3/server/bin. Execute startNodeManager.sh/cmd. This will start the node manager.
5. Now navigate to your $DOMAIN_HOME. You will be able to find startWeblogic.cmd/sh file. Execute it. This will start your Admin Server.
6. Once the server started, login to WLS Admin Console (http://host:7001/console). Navigate to Servers. Click on Control tab. Select soa_server1. Start the server.
This will start the SOA server. To test your soa is up, access the url http://host:8001/soa-infra
There is no BPEL Console/ ESB Console / OWSM console in 11g. Everything is managed from your EM. EM url would be http://host:admin_server_port/em (http://host:7001/em) -
Alert Config in PI 7.3 AEX
Hi,
Please let me know of any documentation on Alert config in PI 7.3 AEX (Advanced Adapter Engine Extended). We have single stack installation of PI 7.3 and need to know how we can setup alert config here as there is no Abap stack and being on AEX only, can not use the Integration Process in ESR for setting up Alert categories.
RegardsHi,
I have configured alerts in my system according to the document and it is working fine. I can see alerts for Mapping errors and certain comm channel errors. Alerts are not triggered for all comm channel errors. For ex in Sender File adapter I gave the wrong directory information and the comm channel is in error status with the message "Configured Source Directory does not exist" however there is no alert triggered for the same.
And once I correct the folder information and fail the file during content conversion I see the alert message triggered for the same channel. Any thoughts?
Alert rule created is "no restriction" rule.
Thanks,

Not able to start EPM Architect Process Manager.
I have installed Hyperion 11.1.1.3 and when i am trying to start the EPM Architect Process Manager Service i am getting the below error message.
The Hyperion EPM Architect - ProcessManager service on local Computer started and then stopped
Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the performance Logs and Alerts Service.
I have also checked the Event Viewer and the below is what is logged into the event viewer.
Service cannot be started. Hyperion.DimensionServer.ProcessManager.Interface.ProcessManagerException: Cannot initialize the Session Manager. ---> System.InvalidOperationException: Attempt to load Oracle client libraries threw BadImageFormatException. This problem will occur when running in 64 bit mode with the 32 bit Oracle client components installed. ---> System.BadImageFormatException: An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. I have also tried to start Hyperion EPM Architect - .Net JNI Bridge which i am able to start sucessfully howerver when i try to start the EPM Architect - Process manager i am getting the above error.
I have also tried to directly login into http://localhost:19091/awb and i am getting the below error.
Loading the Module 'awb.appcontainer' failed
Kindly help me out.Hello, I have found the solution in my environment.
All Hyperion softwares will run on a x64 bit OS with x64 bit Oraclle client installed except FDM. I tried to run everything through Oracle x32 bit client and everything worked except EPMA, I received errors in the eventvwr that stated it could not run against a x32 bit Client. On my FDM server (w2k3 x64 bit) I had to install Oracle x32 bit client in order for me to get my FDM server fully functional.
thank you. -

I was looking at my most recent bill and noticed that there was a $9.99 charge on one of our lines for "Premium Messaging." I pulled up last month's bill and the noticed that the charge was there as well. I called Verizon and asked the customer rep what this was for. She said it was for something called "Roundhouse Management Alerts" but she had no idea what this was. I told her we did not subscribe to any such service and she acknowledged that it was possible someone could have signed the line up for the alert without our knowledge.
Verizon handled this immediately to my satisfaction. The customer service representative took the charge off our new bill and credited our account for the previous month's charge that had already been paid. Nevertheless, it's kind of frightening that Verizon might process a charge from some outside vendor without verifying that the charge was legitimate. We have multiple lines and its just lucky that I noticed this charge appearing when I did.
Has anyone else run into this?I too just discovered a Permium Messaging charge on my husbands line. It had something to do with Facebook, MySpace & Twitter updates. My husband doesn't use any of these social websites! Customer servce was kind enough to remove the charge & give me a number to text so we could opt-out. A block for Premium Messaging has been put on both our lines!
I'm so glad to hear that others have been able to have these charges removed as well.
Thanks Verizon for the great customer service!!
