Any update will cause problems for a few users. And those users will rush here and post "the sky is falling" stories about their experience. The 99.99% of people who have no problems after an update won't bother to post here; indeed, most of them don't even know ASC exists. FWIW, I had no problems with iOS 7 on my 4S. Your problem is most likely not related to iOS 6, but you should probably update anyway. The banner usually indicates that the memo is "Paused." If you go back into voice memos, touch the word "Done" beside the big red pause button, give it a name, then it will show in a list. Touch the memo in the list then touch the trash can icon that should appear.

You posted in the iPad forum, but you profile lists an iPhone 4S. Does your iPhone or iPad have this problem.
Here's some iPad suggestions. Most also apply to the iPhone. Your iPhone or iPad may show the wifi symbol but that only shows the presence of a wifi signal. Not that you are connected.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.

Linux has built in internet connectivity : Internet connectivity is part of Linux's Unix heritage. Every major distribution of Linux comes with tools that can immediately get you up and running on the internet. Most even include Netscape Navigator as their browser of choice.
How I can make use of this in my e-business application? Help would be appriciated.

Well, the sentence you quoted sounds a lot like some basic marketing babble.
All this says is: Linux can be used to access the Internet in some way, straight from the box. So what they're saying is that you can browse the web and probably send some e-mail as well.
The point is that just about any UNIX can do this out of the box.
The nice thing about Linux is the fact that a number of its distributions come packaged with other nice tools, like web servers, DNS server software, mail server software, IRC server software, database server software... Stuff like that. But the same thing goes for these: a lot of UNIX flavors (chocolat's my favourite!) come with stuff like this!
Solaris comes with BIND for DNS, Apache for Web serving and Sendmail for mail serving.
Maybe you could tell us a little bit more about your situation and what you're trying to do. That way we can give you some more interesting info!

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine.

My Windows PC iTunes doesn't see my two Apple TV2's (in the speaker button in lower right of iTunes), I believe this problem began when my PC's McAfee AV subscription expired. My computer has internet connection thru router and my ATVs have internet connection thru same router so it's not a networking issue. My iPad can see the ATVs but it can't see iTunes so the problem appears to be PC/iTunes related. I turned the PC's firewall off but no joy. I uninstalled the expired McAfee and still no joy. Reboot = no joy. Glass of scotch = no joy. Need help!!

WRT54GS-Ver. 6 - Never shows that it has internet connection

I have been trying to resolve a problem and I can't no matter what I do.
I have Model # WRT54GS - Ver. 6, I have had it over a year and the problem started a year ago when I bought it so my daughter could connect her computer wirelessly with mine. It was working just fine and then it started disconnecting one computer when the other was on, the two of them could never be on at the same time, anyway my daughter moved out and I put the router away not worried anymore about the problem. 5 days ago I bought a Dell Inspirion Laptop with Vista and reconnected the router to my main computer (Dell Dimension 3000 with Windows XP)
Here is the problem - I can only get connectivity to one computer at a time or neither of them will connect, when I check out the advisor it ALWAYS shows up as if there is no connction to the internet even if I can get on with one of the computers. I have a Touchstone telephony ARRIS modem with Cox Internet (always been the same) I have tried to download the updates for the router but I can never open it as it saves as a VLC media file(.bin) and if I try to "unzip" it , it says "cannot open file as archive" always.
I have reset, rebooted, un plugged all connections and I don't know what else to do. I have had about 4 diffferent encryption keys already when I have to disconnect. I have also tried removing it from my computer and re-installing .

Ok, now I think I have a bigger problem,
I did as posted from "HELM" and downloaded firmware and everything downloaded fine thanks to the instructions given, but after rebooting and unplugging, waiting 30 sec. and replugging the power, now easylink advisor tells me that it cannot find the router...I tried disconnecting the power to the modem and router as it indicates and then waitng the proper amount of time for each one and reconnecting, but to no avail.
So I diconnected the router completely and connected directly to the modem to be able to write back and ask what can I do now that the router is now longer recognized?
Should I just trash it and buy another one because there is no hope for this one.
