I am trying to integrate weblogic with eclipse. so that i can start the weblogic server from my eclipse. can you please give me a point to a location from where i can download the plugin.
And also i want my eclipse to support the j2ee development. what can i do for this. I want my jsps and servelets should work like eclipse default behavior, that is listing the api methods and highlighting the java code.

yeah it was unzip that's why, but now I did change it the name of zip file to wls1033_generic.jar and I did past it in c: but when I am writing the statment c:/> java -Xmx1024m -jar wls1033_generic.jar then I got the message unable to access jarfile wls1033_generic.jar

Fetal error while installing weblogic server 12c on windows 64 bit

i have windows7 64bit, oracle 11g database, and my java version as i enter the JAVA -VERSION command at the cmd prompt is below

i did the same as you said, i.e i add this path to the PATH variable C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0
add the bin directory to this path, so you should have C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0\bintest it in the command prompt with java -version and it should prompt you java 1.7
also be sure the generic jar is not corrupted.
and one more thing you should use this command to install with generic jar:
java -jar wls1211_generic.jar

Soa suite on weblogic server 10.0??? URGENT!!!!!

we have a requirement to use ejb3.0 in our project. we are using soa suite on weblogic server 9.2. but weblogic 9.2 is not supporting ejb3.0 ( i guess). so we want to migrate weblogic server form 9.2 to 10.0. my doubt,is Oracle soa suite 10.1.3.3 is compatible with weblogic server 10.0??
otherwise any alternative??

You are correct - SOA Suite 10.1.3.3 is not certified with WLS 10.x. We are currently in the process of certifying SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 with WLS 10.3.

Weblogic server installation - multiple instances in different ports

Hi
I want to install weblogic server(10.0) in my system but it should have three instances running on different ports(equivalent to 3 servers running on the same host). The application hosted on one server will be interacting with the applications hosted on the other two servers.
Could anybody tell me how to install weblogic server in this way?

Hi Jakarta,
As you have mentioned: You want to have three instances running on different ports.
In that case you can create 3 managed Servers after Creating the WebLogic Domain.
Step1). Create a Fresh WebLogic Domain.
Step2). Login to Admin Console (http://localhost:7001/console) and then Create 3 manager Servers and then assign different Ports to them.
MS1------7003
MS2------7005
MS3------7007
Step3). Start These Servers using <DOMAIN_HOME>/bin/startManagedWebLogic.cmd/sh like:
startManagedWebLogic.cmd MS1 t3://localhost:7001
startManagedWebLogic.cmd MS2 t3://localhost:7001
startManagedWebLogic.cmd MS3 t3://localhost:7001
Here "localhost:7001" is the Admin Server URL.

Weblogic Server Installation in Master/Slave

I have two linux server dedicated for weblogic server and I want to configure weblogic server on both the machines with one of them becomes a server and other machine will be a slave.
I have searched a lot but couldn't find any adequate information. Could someone please shed some light on how to install/configure weblogic server in master/slave fashion/pattern?

I think you need to do some reading of how domain's are organized with 1 Admin Server and 0 to many Managed Servers. The Managed Servers can be grouped into Clusters if you want. The servers can be across multiple machines. Check out the following link and perhaps the detail under clustering and respond if you have a more precise question.

Weblogic server with OIM non-root

Friends,
I am installing OIAM on top of Weblogic Server on CentOSLinux OS .
The problem is i want to install weblogic server and OIAM with non-root so that it does not have security issues.
When i try to install weblogic i am unable to install it with normal user rights in /opt dir it requires root access. As per the document oiam install on top of weblogic should not be a problem but the major issue is running weblogic with non-root.
pls let me know abt install and running weblogic as a non-root user, or a pointer to the documentation.

I have installed weblogic server as an nt service. In install Nt service
cmd, if I make any change in the script, I have to uninstall and install it
again. I do not know where to specify the weblogic.management.username =(Non
system user)
I have created a user name in NT server and added them to Administrator
group. I have also modified in file realm propertes i.e to boot and shutdown
the non system user.
I have to start weblogic server as a non system user.

P6.ear file deployment in weblogic server

i have installed primavera p6 r8.2 eppm in my machine and worked fine for first time. after restarting my machine the application(p6.ear) went to new state in weblogic server .how to convert this new state to active state.
i have tried with start service request option to change state from new to active in weblogic server .but it is not getting changed.

and my policy file my.policy.
I add the VM parameter when I start weblogic server
"-Djava.security.auth.policy=D:\bea\wlserver6.1/lib/my.policy"
But I don't know how to let weblogic server know my configuration class, so
that the server will create it when my client code create LoginContext
object.
Some artical told me that add the configuration class name in java.security
file, like the following
login.configuration.provider=mypackage.myConfig
unfortunately, it don't work :(
I always got the exception message
No Configuration Class Name Supplied
Does anyone kindly tell me how to let the system know my configuration class
name?

Seems the problem is in my TestConfig.
I just copy the SampleConfig.java as my TestConfig.java (modified a

JNDI not found when trying to communicate from websphere to weblogic server

we have a J2EE application in which the client is a standalone program or may reside in any of the application server. But our EJB component is deployed in the weblogic server.
Earlier the client program which contacts the EJB is a standalone program and it uses the weblogic initial context factory and t3 protocol and we will have the weblogic.jar in the classpath.
but there is a new requirement as our new client is in websphere and it has to contact the weblogic server through IIOP protocol and websphere initial context factory. Please let me know what i need to do?
Since iam new to websphere and i am having no clue to establish the communication. I tried to use both IIOP protocol and wesphere initial context factory.but still i get exception as the JNDI name not found.

To be in same page, iam running the client program using the IBM jre and using all the websphere client jars set in classpath. This program conatins intial context factory as "com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory" and provider url as "iiop://hostname:portnumber" it contacts the EJB bean method which is hosted on the weblogic server on the "hostname" machine. When it tries to contact i get the errror as

Deploying ADF application to a managed weblogic server - ADF security error

Our group has written an ADF web application, which we are attempting to deploy to a managed weblogic server. Thus far, we have been unsuccessful. The application does successfully deploy to the AdminServer. Our setup:
Weblogic version is 10.3.0. Domain name is adf_domain. We have installed the ADF (ADF version is 11.1.1.0.0), JSTL(1.2.0.1), and JSF(1.2.7.1) runtime libraries, and they are targeted to both the admin server AND the managed server, which is called CollabServer. This server communicates with the node manager and can be started and stopped via the admin console successfully. The AdminServer is on port 7101, and the CollabServer is on port 7104. We are not using SSL.

As I said, there are no deployment errors when we deploy to the admin server. However, we always see the following errors when deploying to the managed server:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.security.jps.wls.listeners.JpsApplicationLifecycleListener
etc.
This error occurs when deploying via the <wldeploy> ant task included with weblogic, and when deploying the application manually via the admin console.
So I removed this from weblogic-application.xml:

Which resolved the initial error (I assume there is some sort of bug that causes this workaround to be necessary). The next error is this:

Again, we don't get this error when deploying to the AdminServer - ONLY the managed server CollabServer.

Here are the steps we had to take to get a managed WLS to run an adf application without copying any jar in the domain/lib directory:
1. you still have to install the adf runtime to any server you want the adf application to deploy to
2. open the admin console, select the managed server, and select the 'server start' tab in configutation settings.
3. add /u01/bea/patch_wls1030/profiles/default/sys_manifest_classpath/weblogic_patch.jar:/u01/bea/patch_jdev1111/profiles/default/sys_manifest_classpath/weblogic_patch.jar:

As with the calsspath change '/u01/bea' to your bea home and change the domain name (in our case 'naa_qs') to your domain name. change the managementuser and passwort to your needs. As whith the classpath I put some CR/LF into the code section to make it readable.
5. save the changes and restart the server
Essentially all we copied the arguments from the admin server start script in addition to adding the class path.
