Hi,log on BEx query desinger.

Question

when i logon on bex query designer
the following error info appeared:
can anybody tell me about this,what caused this error?

When we see this at our sites it's normally because the Bex hasn;t been upgraded and is still sort of using a 6.4 gui
When you are loggin in via sapgui you go in on a 7 gui - and it accepts a password > 8 chars
Then when you login via bex designer/analyser it pops up with a screen that is 6.4 and it cuts the password to 8 chars - hence rfc errors or password errors
We normally get our local in country IT teams to reinstall Bex to the latest version
