Hide row in planning book

Hi experts,
I have the following requirement in DP planning book. the planning book has 3 KF (KF1, KF2 & KF3) and 2 characteristics (CHAR1 & CHAR2).  Now for KF1 I need to display drill down for all the values in CHAR1 and then to all the values in CHAR2. For KF2 drill down will be only at the level of CHAR1. Total row will be displayed instead of CHAR2. I have achieved upto this step using macro. Now for KF3 I need to drill down for all the values in CHAR2 but not for CHAR1. How can I do this in the same planning book. The Macro I have written for KF2 is -
IF
Check planning objects
PLOBS_FOR_LEVEL( 2 ) > 0
Row: KF2 ( Attributes ) =
ROW_VISIBLE( 0 )
ELSE
Row: KF2 ( Attributes ) =
ROW_VISIBLE( 1 )
ENDIF
The desired output would be
KF                         CHAR1                         CHAR2                 M 08.2010
  KF1     A1             Total
  ..         ..                    A2
  ..       ..                   B2
   ..         B1               Total
   ..         ..                  A2
   ..         ..                   B2
KF2    A1               Total
..           B1              Total
KF3      total              A2
..          ...                     B2
Please suggest if this is possible.
Thanks in advance,
Soumick Chanda

First of all your subject and what you mentioned in body of the thread are different.
If will only confuse other users.
Anyway what you mentioned is NOT possible even with macro.

  • Hide row in planning book using BADI /SAPAPO/ADVX USER_EXIT_MACRO

    Dear All,
I would like to have your suggestion how to hide row in planning book using BADI USER_EXIT_MACRO
the requirement is when I drill down the object by region, the first line will be "total" and the second and third line
will be region like "north" and "south".
I want to show only "total" line and hide region detail.
Would it be possible to do this using the badi USER_EXIT_MACRO?
    Thank you in advance,
    Boonsom

    Hi,
In the Interactive Planning, you see a Cap-like icon on the top-left...... click on it and choose the characteristic (say, region) and say ok. You will then be able to see the Region just on top of the planning table. When you load the data, by default, it will have "Total" as option, and with your wish, you can choose to see the data for a particular region (North, South etc).

    Guru Charan.

  • Deletion of Total(Aggregated Sum) rows in planning book

I want to get rid of 'Total(Aggregated Sum)' rows in planning book tables.
'Total' line is useful but too many lines are uncomfortable for planners, so we're searching for the method not to use it.
If you know how to configure or use macro for it, please let me know.
    Thank you,
    HyeRee

    Hi,
I can delete totals, but I can´t delete subtotals.
    Macro Delete Totals
    IF
    New condition
       PLOBS_FOR_LEVEL( ACT_LEVEL ) = 1
    Step 1 iterations
       ROW Ratio 1
          ROW_VISIBLE( 0 )
       ROW Ratio 2
          ROW_VISIBLE( 0 )
       ROW Ratio n
          ROW_VISIBLE( 0 )
    ENDIF
This macros works ok to deleting row totals.

  • Planning book Cell colours are not displayed correctly in upgarded SCM 7.0

    Hi All
WE have recently upgarded SCM 4.1 to SCM 7.0 system and I am testing new system. I am stuck in one issue . We have some keys figure rows which are open of inout/output. WE have macros for this key figures to close for certian period. After closing we defined cell Background colour to be same as default colour of other rows in planning book. For SCM 4.1 we used colour no 9 for this.
But in New System SCM 7.0 looks like colour numbers have changed. So I changed macros for background colour , we have an option when changing system gives colour palett and we can select, I tested the whole pallett fo matching colour with default planning book celllc colours- no colour is matching , when I look at palett it looks same but when I  select that in macro the shade looks diferent .
Can some one advice how can we get exact colout number to match defult colour of palnning book cells.
    Thanks
    KV

    Hi Kristin,
You can always change the cell color to default by using 0 as argument of the macro function. For instance, the following macro change the color of cell to red if the corresponding prop factor value is negative. On the other hand, for a positive value or zero, the default background color is retained.
    Thanks,

  • Distribuition Function in Planning book

    Hello Everyone!,
I facing issue in using distribution function in planning book.
I have to update one KF for many products & I'm trying to use the distribution function.
But the problem is I have many rows/products loaded in planning book & for each row/product I have to manually enter the value & operator. This is cumbersome.
Is there a way to update all products/rows in planning book with single execution?
What & how distribution formula can be used.
Any inputs in this regard will be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Amol,
Thanks for the info, your suggestion may help me but the problem that I'm facing is that, If I load individual product in planning book then the KF is appearing in distribution function window.
But when I load all products the KF is not appearing in distribution function window.
Also I have observed that when I load individual product, the KF field is available in editable mode but when I load all products, the KF row in planning book is non-editable. I think this is preventing the KF appearance in distribution function window.
    See below.....
    When loaded single product
    When loaded multiple products
    Please suggest.
    Thanks.

  • Dump for custom planning books in SDP94

    Hi,
We are having a fresh SCM APO 5.0 installation. We used to get a dump whenbever the SDP 94 transaction  was executed. We found a SAP note 889989 and applied. Now the problem is it is dumping for any other planning book except the standard SAP delivered ones when the SDP94 transaction is executed. I found a note 498861 but does it help?
    Here is the dump:
    Runtime Errors         MESSAGE_TYPE_X
    Date and Time          10/10/2007 16:39:31
    Short text
The current application triggered a termination with a short dump.
    What happened?
The current application program detected a situation which really
should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was
triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X).
    Error analysis
         Short text of error message:
Control Framework : Error processing control
         Long text of error message:
          Diagnosis
An error occurred when the system tried to process the commands
from the Automation Queue on the presentation server.
There are several possible reasons for this:
              - The installation of the SAP GUI on the presentation server is
              faulty or obsolete.
              - There is an error in the application program
              - There is an error in the SAPGUI or an integrated control
          Procedure
              1. Make sure that you have imported the appropriate Support
Package, the current kernel, and GUI patch for the release of your
              system
              2. Check whether the error occurs locally on one or a few PCs, or
generally on all PCs. Note whether the error only occurs for some
users, for example because of a specific Customizing setting.
If it only occurs locally, this suggests an installation problem
with the PC. Check the installation; if necessary, reinstall thesoftware. In the dump, search for the SY-MSGLI field, since it may
point to the cause of the error.
    3. Activate the Automation Trace (in accordance with SAP Note
    158985).
4.Start the transaction and continue until the screen immediately
    before the dump.
    5. From the System -> Utilities menu, choose Autom. Queue,
    Synchronous Processing.
The status bar of the GUI displays the text:
       "Automation synchron flush mode on"
    6. If you now proceed with the application, the short dump will
display the ABAP call that caused the error; the Automation Trace
will contain the error on the presentation server.
    7. If necessary, load the short dump and trace files on to
sapservX, so that SAP can analyze them.
    Trigger Location of Runtime Error
        Program                                 SAPLOLEA
        Include                                 LOLEAU02
        Row                                     29
        Module type                             (FUNCTION)
        Module Name                             AC_SYSTEM_FLUSH
Can any one suggest me a solution please?
    Thanks.

    hi Raj,
this normally happens for all the new installations when opening the planning books with tcode /SAPAPO/SDP94. every new installation gives different dump with the above tcode. the best option is to contact the SAP team.

Basically when I assign a forecast profile in interactive planning - it is not being saved...
When I enter again in SDP94 I am getting blank screen. basically it should save the last screen we visit.
is there any process to stick back last visited screen. when we reopen the SDP 94.
Could any one guide me please..

    Hi,
    1)Load the planning book/data view
2)You load the selection in selection in planning book
    3)Load the selection
    4)Go to the change mode
    5)Click the interactive selection
6)In the profile tab change the profile which you want to run
7)Run the forecasting cycle by clicking the button in top row
8)In the Profile tab save the profile by pressing save button
9)Save the data again by clicking the save button in the top row

  • Previous year figures in planning book

    Hi all,
I want to show the previous year figures in the planning book.
According the help documentation of planning books it must be possible to add actual data and previous year figures (Demand Planning - Demand Planning Process - Planning book design - Planning book: "Add rows containing actual data from the current year and/or the previous year").
Actual data is easy by refering to 000 version. But how can I add previous year data?
    Thanks for your help
    Jean

I think what it means is that if you go to the dataview tab in the Planning book design you can see a field called Initial Column.
If you use initial column you will be able to add all the buckets in the period previous to the first future period. Its not necessarily last year but previous periods.
(though i dont understand what you menat by seeing actual using 000 version)
It makes more sense in an SNP planning book for a KF like Stock
    as the help says...
"The initial column covers the time span from 1970 until the beginning of the first future period minus 1 second. The data is read from a key figure that is stored in liveCache orders or liveCache time series. However, you can also populate this column with data using a macro, such as has been done with the Initial stock key figure in the standard Supply Network Planning data view.
Enter one of the following values:
    Blank - No initial column
L - The initial column is displayed on the far left of the table.
R- The initial column is displayed on the far right of the table.
C - The initial column is displayed between the past planning horizon and the future planning horizon."

  • How to Retrieve Totals in APO DP Planning Book

    Hi All
I want to see the totals coulmns in planning book data view. I know I can check the totals from settings> row totals
But this row totals disappears as soon as I log out of the planning book. Is there any way this row totals is permanently attached to the data view?
Is there any BAPI, I can use to read the KF totals?
Any pointers on this will be highly helpful
    Thanks

    Dear Vijay,
I doubt if there is any standard settings or configuration is there for this functionality. What i can suggest is either you add seperate key-figures for displaying total of all the periods and write macros to populate key-figure values in it. The second option is initiallize the key-figures for an extra bucket which is really required by the business and populate the total in that extra period by writing macro. By second method there will not be extra key figure required. Apart from writing macros you can use BAPIs for reading the key-figure and adding it and finally populating the key figure values in the key-figure but this is not required as macro is sufficient for populating the key-figure in both the cases.
Please let me know if you think any other better way of doing it.

  • TSCOPY:keyfigure copy one planning book to other book

    Hi,
When i copying the keyfigure values from one planning book to othe Planning book through /SAPAPO/TSCOPY, the keyfigure is copying all the other keyfogure values also in the other planning book., I need to copy only one keyfigure row values to other planning book keyfigure row. Not all key figure values.
I hope to get solution form APO DP experts.,
Advance thanks for provide solution of my problem
    Regards,
    R K Sadasivam

    Hi Sadasivam :
I think  you had placed a check mark in the box of Propose Key Figures While executing the TSCOPY transaction due to which it is triggering copy of all Keyfigures.
Plz do not place this checkmark and manually chose the Key figure which you want to copy in source and target tabs.

  • Holidays in Planning books

    Hi,
In our Demand Planning scenario, our horizon is for one month with daily buckets. Sales person gives demand on daily basis.
Grateful, if somebody suggest me on how to make planning book columns display only for holidays (sales person will not be able to enter demand in planning book on holidays).
    Thanks & Regards,
    SP

not sure if you want this in a DP or SNP book... and i assume you have a daily bucket in your planning book/data view
you can use calendars in a location in SNP and in DP you need to set up a factory calendar in the time stream id for the storage bucket profile. this factory calendar will have the Holiday calendar in it
after this you can use one of the two macros to determine the work days in the bucket. you apply this to your daily bucket and save the value (say, WDAY) returned for work days = 0 or 1
BUCKET_WDAYS( <calendar> ; X1 ; ... ; Xn) returns the number of workdays in the periods given by the cell(s), row(s), and/or column(s) (not areas) X1 through Xn. In the attributes of the argument elements, you must specify Period data as the data source. The specification of a calendar as the first argument is optional. If you do not specify a calendar, the system reads the calendar given by the time stream in the storage buckets profile. If no time stream is defined, the system uses calendar days
CALENDAR_WDAYS( ‘calendar’ ; from date ; <to date> ) returns the number of workdays between the from-date and the to-date in the calendar specified. The calendar is the timestream ID.
    then if WDAY = 0
use Column_input( 0 ) to make the columns display only
    else keep it open

  • Default set of KF in Planning Book?

    Hi,
I am currently working on 'slimming' down the SNP Planning Books being used by us. Basically trying to remove KFs/Macros not relevant to us.
In doing so basically I am trying to make separate books for Production Planning and Capacity Planning. So my SNP Production Planning Book just has the 'Supply Network Planning' indicator ticked.
When I try to remove the KFs not relevant to me (eg: Capacity Planning, TLB, Deployment) and complete the Planning Book and save...when I get back to the design I see that these KFs are back.
Is there a 'Necessary' set of KFs which you HAVE to use when designing? Is there any way I can only use the KFs that are required by me?
    We are on SCM 5.0.
    Kindly suggest.
    Regards,
    Abhi

    Dear Abhishek Sharma
While deleting the KF from Planning book(KF tab next to planning book tab), the system deletes all the KF in the planning book and you need to choose the necessary KF which you would require from the planning area.
You would be able to view the the KF which are currently in the planning book and can choose the required KF for the data view. Further while deleting the KF from the data view, the system pops up a message "  Row KF from macro definition book and data view deleted". You can go ahead by saving it.
    Reward Points if it helps.

  • User is unable to view the selection window in the planning book

    Hi Friends,
I am able to view the selection window in the planning book.
User is unable to view the selection window in the planning book.
Is it authorization issue or any settings issue?
    Please explain me in detail.
    With regards,
    Balu

    HI Balu
Can you check if ''Selection profile" is checked in the ''view selection" option in the top left of the planning book for the user?
you can choose the hide/show the Selection profile tab, planning book/data view and macros tab using that function.
    Check if this helps.

  • Totals to be shifted at the bottom in the planning book

    Dear Team
In Planning book, the total of the rows is displayed at the top and drill down of Key figures below that.
If I want to shift the settings as -

  • User insade Plan Book during Core Interface

    Please.
Maybe somebody has the same problem.
During the Core interface run at night whe are facing some problems into the Job due users inside the Planning book.
Somebody have any solution to disable the access from the users into the Planning book in a specific time also close the Users setion that are inside the planning book.
But we have to release access only to CRONPTS user that is the CIF Runner.
    Thanks a lot.

what is your CIF doing? why is it writing to a PB where users are changing values
are they changing values into the same KF
    if not,
Try to make your Planning area to KF lock and set the option of "do no lock read only KF"
then  make the Kf that the CIF changes into a read only in the planning book (either in design or using a start macro)
if you cant change the above....
    then
while vinods solution is elegant, if you dont have enough programming power this is what you can do
    1. run a job before the CIF job runs to trigger a batch macro
this macro should set a flag in the planning books - say put value 1 in a cell somewhere in history
    2. create another start macro in all your planning books which checks for this indicator - if cell =1 then make all rows output only by using the macro function row_input( ) = 0
now when the user goes into the planning book he will be in display only
    3. when the CIF work is over it should release the lock by removing the KF value from that cell
