Hiding table columns in a table view in JspDynpage

hi,
i have a situation where i need to hide a particular column in a tableview.
thanks

Hi,
What senthil has given is for dynpage not for jspdynpage
If u r using jspdynpage
<hbj:tableView
    id="myTableView1" >
<%myTableView1.setColumnName("columnName",2);%> /2-->col.no/
<%myTableView1.setColumnInvisible("columnName");%>
</hbj:tableView >
u should set column name first using setColumnName

    I don't think you need the f:ajax tag - you should be able to do the synchronization between the tables with the built-in partial page refresh functionality.
    Just define the partialTrigger property of the second table to point to the firsttable.

  • Object Modelling Question: How do I create multiple nested table columns in one table

    Hi there,
    I have a XML doc which is as follows:
    <PERSON>
    <ADDRESSLIST>
    <ADDRESS>111, Hamilton Ave </ADDRESS>
    <ADDRESS>222, Cambell Ave </ADDRESS>
    </ADDRESSLIST>
    <PHONELIST>
    <PHONENO>4085551212 </PHONENO>
    <PHONENO>6505551212</PHONENO>
    </PHONELIST>
    </PERSON>
    I need a table that looks as follows:
    Create table person
    (addresslist address_table,
    phonelist phone_table
    I would like to create a table called person with columns addresslist and phonelist. Each defined as object type table of address and table of phones.
    Can anybody please tell me how can I do this.
    I have seen that there can only be one nested table per table. If so, how do we do this.
    Thanks so much

    Good one!
    Also, it's by far the more dynamic method.
    If you want to get pedantic, it's also far less efficient in terms of execution time: each iteration of the loop forks a new process, whereas using a single mkdir command forks only once.  The "best" way is the curly-braces method demonstrated above by chimeric.

  • VC Multiple Table Column Header Lines, Table Width Adjustment

    Hi Experts,
    1) How to have Multiple headers for a column in a single cell i.e multiple lines in the same cell. please provide with example.
    2) How to set your table to adjust the width automatically for all screen resolution since columns of the table disappear and some of the content of the header is not visible if the screen resolution is low.
    3) Is there any way to set the screen resolution for our report alone to very high resolution even if the end user has set the system resolution to low. The reports were developed on a high resolution and now we face the problem as citrix is rolled out and it is standard 1024 * 768 resolution.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Siva

    Wrapping the text of a table column caption into lines is currently not possible. Workarounds could be:
    - using a single character text and a tooltip for the description
    - using an image containing the wrapped text
    Both workarounds have their problems.

  • Hiding certain columns in UIX table

    I want to hide certain colums of my UIX table based on VO at runtime depending on context.
    I know that I can use the rendered property of a column but I believe there is a way to do it without dealing with UIX. The reason is that I have about 30 dynamic colums so specifying the property (and enabling the appropriate bindings) seems to be tiresome and unreasonable.
    I have a method in AppModuleImpl.java that sets the VO query and I want this method to hide the unwanted colums somehow.
    Any suggestions ?

    What about in your UIX table adding a columnGroup containing the 30 odd columns, setting its rendered property to true/false through EL (expression language) based on whatever the context you refer to is (possibly a session variable previously set)? That way you wouldn't have to set the rendered property for each individual column.

  • Need help in hiding particular column of a table depending upon value

    Hi experts,
    I have developed a custom smartform and Print program.
    My problem is ..depending upon the data i recieve,...i have to hide a particular column.
    For example ... i have a table with 2 rows...one header and main row..This table has 3 column.
    I have to hide one of the column depending upon the data i recieve. So my output should have 2 rows and 2 columns.
    Please help.

    well vishwa u r right it wont work for multiple columns,
    then i guess this shud work.
    @thendral
    U can try like this create the rows with single column
    then print all ur text elements with spaces inserted manually between them with text editor then in conditions tab of the text elements specify ur condition according to what all u want to print.

  • Sort table columns in a table and context created dinamically

    Hello all,
    I have implemented the table sorting several times in another developments, but now I'm facing a problem.
    I have created the table and context node that I need to sort dinamically (before somebody ask me why, I would say that it's the only way to do that for my current project, there was no possibility of doing that in dessign time). I have implemented the table sorting more or less the same way I would do with a table created in dessing time, but when I run my WD the sorting of columns doesn't work.
    In the wdDoModifyView, I have put the following code:
    if(firstTime){
    IWDAction ordenacion     = wdThis.wdCreateAction(IPrivateResultDispGlobalView.WDActionEventHandler.ORDENACION,  null);
    IWDParameters param = ordenacion.getActionParameters();
    param.addParameter("nombreNodo",nombreNodo);
    and in the code of the action
        //@@begin onActionOrdenacion(ServerEvent)
         System.err.println("**** NOMBRE NODO **** "+nombreNodo);
         wdContext.currentContextElement().getTableSorter().sort(wdEvent, wdContext.getChildNode(nombreNodo, IWDNode.LEAD_SELECTION));
        //@@end
    The name of the node ("nombreNodo) it's only correct the first time I click on a column.
    Has anybody implemented the table sorting in a dinamically created table and context node? And how do you do to make it works.
    Thank you very much

    Here is the code
    //Preparamos Navegaciones
    IWDAction abrirProyecto = wdThis.wdCreateAction(IPrivateResultDispGlobalView.WDActionEventHandler.ABRIR_PROYECTO, null);
    IWDAction abrirDisp     = wdThis.wdCreateAction(IPrivateResultDispGlobalView.WDActionEventHandler.ABRIR_DISPONIBLE,  null);
    //IWDAction ordenacion     = wdThis.wdCreateAction(IPrivateResultDispGlobalView.WDActionEventHandler.ORDENACION,  null);
    IWDAction ordenacion=wdThis.wdGetOrdenacionAction();
    IWDParameters param = ordenacion.getActionParameters();
    param.addParameter("nombreNodo",nombreNodo);
    IWDTable table = wdThis.wdGetInformesController().crearTabla(view, nombreNodo, movimientosInfo,new String[]{"Codi Projecte",null,"Nom Projecte", "Import Projecte", "Client", "Increment Disponible futur per facturació no emesa i / o anualitats pendents","Increment Disponible futur per ingressos pendents de cobrar", "Disponible"},new String[]{"10px", null,"10px", "10px","10px","10px","10px","10px"},new IWDAction[]{abrirProyecto,null, null, null, null,null,null,abrirDisp}, -1);
    //ordenar tabla
    wdContext.currentContextElement().setTableSorter(new TableSorter(table, ordenacion,null));
    containerTablasProyecto.addChild(table);

  • Hiding the column headers in boxed view

    I've created a custom list that I'm displaying in boxed view.  Here's a sample of the columns:
    Business Systems Manager
    Project lead
    Project number
    SFA?
    Etc...
    In boxed view, it displays like I have it here - vertical.  The names of the people and info display next to each item.
    However, the web part is still displaying the column headings across the page like in this example:
    Business Systems Manager - Project Lead - Project Number - SFA? - etc...
    Some of my custom lists carry on for 12 or 13 columns and the main page view has about 6 or 7 of them so needless to say, the extra real estate the column headers (which are completely redundant because the column heading info is IN the boxed view!!!) are taking up is killing the layout of the page.
    Is there anyway to remove the column headers from the boxed view with out of the box Sharepoint?   Or is Designer required?
    Thanks!
    Lorraine

    This worked well for me:
    1) Add a Content Editor Web Part
    2) Click Source Editor
    3) Enter the following code:
    [css] <style> .ms-viewheadertr { display: none;} </style> [/css]
    4) Select Save
    5) Go to Layout and Select 'Hidden'

  • Update a table column from enother table?

    Hello all,
    i am using following query to update
    update hrt_emp_mst set a.e_no=b.e_no
    from hrt_emp_mst a,emp_temp b
    where a.emp_no=b.emp_no
    this is giving error message: as
    command not properly ended.
    please tell me is there any problem
    thanks
    yash

    Hi Yash,
    I can see you are coming from Sybase/SQL-Server background.
    This syntax is not allowed in Oracle.
    In Oracle, it can be,
    update hrt_emp_mst a
    set a.e_no= NVL( ( select b.e_no from emp_temp b where b.emp_no=a.emp_no ), a.e_no ) ;If the table hrt_emp_mst is very big and/or emp_temp is not indexed on emp_no, this will not be very efficiant. You will be better off writting a pl/sql block with 'bulk collect'.
    Cheers

  • How to find real owner.table.column in a view

    This seems pretty easy but I haven't been able to locate a way using the dba_views or all_views to pinpoint the exact owner.table.column that a given view column is based on.
    I can retrieve the text of the view from dba_views, but I don't see something like all_tab_columns that has a second set of owner, table and column_name columns to show what the underlying column in a view is.
    e.g. create me.view zz as select a.acp,b.acno from tom.tab1 a, fred.tab2 b where a.key = b.key
    desc me.zz
    acp varchar2(4)
    acno number
    Now I would like to select something like the following from all_tab_columns:
    select column_name,orig_owner, orig_table, orig_column from all_tab_columns where owner = 'ME' and table_name = 'ZZ'
    acp tom tab1 acp
    acno fred tab2 acno
    Does such a view exist to extract this information?

    Robert,
    By hosed do you mean there is no way to get this information from an Oracle view? I'm not sure what you mean by sys.all_views.owner, that just tells the owner of the view itself, not the owner.table.column of each column in the view. If the view is all based on a single table then obviously I can figure out the information, but many/most views join several tables, even from different schemas.
    What I am looking for is the equivalent of all_view_columns which has view column information as well as the base table owner.table.column. -quinn

  • Urgent Help Required for Check Box in Table Column

    Hi all,
    Could any body help me to solve my problem?
    First of all I have created a table whose one column is check box. The column of the tables are Name,Phone,ID,Address and a checkBox columns.In one view
    the table will be found with data. I want to click on some of the rows(suppose there are 5 rows, but based on some condition I have selected the check box of 3 rows).
    Next there will be a button(Supose SEND Button).
    After selecting the check box I want to press that button and then a new window will come which will show two tables. one for  selected rows(with the same columns name except check box) and another for Unchecked rows with the same column name(Name,Phone,ID,Address).
    Could any body help me by sending the details and code?
    Thanks and Regards.
    Sudip

    Hi Sudip,
    1) create custom controller and appropriate context structure there (dataNode(Name,Phone,ID,Address,Check))
    2) create view StartView. Map data node from custom controller to node in view. Create table and bind context node attributes to appropriate table columns.
    3) create view ResultView. Map data node from custom controller to node in view. Create 2 nodes (CheckedData, UncheckedData) with supply methods. Create filtering implementation in supply methods (add checked and unchecked node elements to appropriate nodes).
    4) create new window with resultView as default view
    4) in startView in button action handler put something like
         IWDWindowInfo _windowInfo = wdComponentAPI.getComponentInfo().findInWindows("Popup");
         IWDWindowManager manager = wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager();
         IWDWindow _window = manager.createWindow(_windowInfo, true);
         _window.open();
    So, just tried localy and it works.
    Best regards, Maksim Rashchynski.
