Hierarchy Information in a table

Is there a table that stores information about hierarchies? In particular, when they were last loaded?
any help much appreciated!

Hi Ian,
you can obtain the infos you need coming in your hierarchy -> right-click mouse -> display -> go to -> header data. Here you can see all the changes related the last data loading.
In addition, you have available the button 'monitor' on the top (right) of the same screen...
Hope this helps.
Bye,
Roberto

  • How to Display Hierarchy of depending database tables (Key Comparison)

    Hi there,
    is there a transaction available to display the hierarchy of depending database tables? Like:
    TABLE A -> Key: XYZ
        - TABLE B -> Key: XYZ
    It's kinda ment to display the technical datamodel of an application.
    Thanks. Greetings. Kay.

    it doesn't exist, but you have the graphical display of tables related by foreign keys and check tables (SE11, shiftctrlF11), and there are the logical databases to help you.

  • Need information about Internal Tables

    Hi Every one!
    I Need some information about Internal tables. Pls help be above the same.
    Thanks & with Regards,
    Chandra.

    Hi..,
    <b>
    Internal tables </b>
    Internal tables provide a means of taking data from a fixed structure and storing it in working memory in ABAP. The data is stored line by line in memory, and each line has the same structure. In ABAP, internal tables fulfill the function of arrays. Since they are dynamic data objects, they save the programmer the task of dynamic memory management in his or her programs. You should use internal tables whenever you want to process a dataset with a fixed structure within a program. A particularly important use for internal tables is for storing and formatting data from a database table within a program. They are also a good way of including very complicated data structures in an ABAP program.
    Like all elements in the ABAP type concept, internal tables can exist both as data types and as data objects A data type is the abstract description of an internal table, either in a program or centrally in the ABAP Dictionary, that you use to create a concrete data object. The data type is also an attribute of an existing data object.
    <b>Internal Tables as Data Types</b>
    Internal tables and structures are the two structured data types in ABAP. The data type of an internal table is fully specified by its line type, key, and table type.
    <b>Line type</b>
    The line type of an internal table can be any data type. The data type of an internal table is normally a structure. Each component of the structure is a column in the internal table. However, the line type may also be elementary or another internal table.
    <b>Key</b>
    The key identifies table rows. There are two kinds of key for internal tables - the standard key and a user-defined key. You can specify whether the key should be UNIQUE or NON-UNIQUE. Internal tables with a unique key cannot contain duplicate entries. The uniqueness depends on the table access method.
    If a table has a structured line type, its default key consists of all of its non-numerical columns that are not references or themselves internal tables. If a table has an elementary line type, the default key is the entire line. The default key of an internal table whose line type is an internal table, the default key is empty.
    The user-defined key can contain any columns of the internal table that are not references or themselves internal tables. Internal tables with a user-defined key are called key tables. When you define the key, the sequence of the key fields is significant. You should remember this, for example, if you intend to sort the table according to the key.
    <b>
    Table type</b>
    The table type determines how ABAP will access individual table entries. Internal tables can be divided into three types:
    <u>Standard tables</u> have an internal linear index. From a particular size upwards, the indexes of internal tables are administered as trees. In this case, the index administration overhead increases in logarithmic and not linear relation to the number of lines. The system can access records either by using the table index or the key. The response time for key access is proportional to the number of entries in the table. The key of a standard table is always non-unique. You cannot specify a unique key. This means that standard tables can always be filled very quickly, since the system does not have to check whether there are already existing entries.
    <u>
    Sorted tables</u> are always saved sorted by the key. They also have an internal index. The system can access records either by using the table index or the key. The response time for key access is logarithmically proportional to the number of table entries, since the system uses a binary search. The key of a sorted table can be either unique or non-unique. When you define the table, you must specify whether the key is to be unique or not. Standard tables and sorted tables are known generically as index tables.
    <u>
    Hashed tables</u> have no linear index. You can only access a hashed table using its key. The response time is independent of the number of table entries, and is constant, since the system access the table entries using a hash algorithm. The key of a hashed table must be unique. When you define the table, you must specify the key as UNIQUE.
    <b>
    Generic Internal Tables</b>
    Unlike other local data types in programs, you do not have to specify the data type of an internal table fully. Instead, you can specify a generic construction, that is, the key or key and line type of an internal table data type may remain unspecified. You can use generic internal tables to specify the types of field symbols and the interface parameters of procedures . You cannot use them to declare data objects.
    <b>Internal Tables as Dynamic Data Objects</b>
    Data objects that are defined either with the data type of an internal table, or directly as an internal table, are always fully defined in respect of their line type, key and access method. However, the number of lines is not fixed. Thus internal tables are dynamic data objects, since they can contain any number of lines of a particular type. The only restriction on the number of lines an internal table may contain are the limits of your system installation. The maximum memory that can be occupied by an internal table (including its internal administration) is 2 gigabytes. A more realistic figure is up to 500 megabytes. An additional restriction for hashed tables is that they may not contain more than 2 million entries. The line types of internal tables can be any ABAP data types - elementary, structured, or internal tables. The individual lines of an internal table are called table lines or table entries. Each component of a structured line is called a column in the internal table.
    <b>
    Choosing a Table Type</b>
    The table type (and particularly the access method) that you will use depends on how the typical internal table operations will be most frequently executed.
    <b>
    Standard tables</b>
    This is the most appropriate type if you are going to address the individual table entries using the index. Index access is the quickest possible access. You should fill a standard table by appending lines (ABAP APPEND statement), and read, modify and delete entries by specifying the index (INDEX option with the relevant ABAP command). The access time for a standard table increases in a linear relationship with the number of table entries. If you need key access, standard tables are particularly useful if you can fill and process the table in separate steps. For example, you could fill the table by appending entries, and then sort it. If you use the binary search option with key access, the response time is logarithmically proportional to the number of table entries.
    <b>Sorted tables</b>
    This is the most appropriate type if you need a table which is sorted as you fill it. You fill sorted tables using the INSERT statement. Entries are inserted according to the sort sequence defined through the table key. Any illegal entries are recognized as soon as you try to add them to the table. The response time for key access is logarithmically proportional to the number of table entries, since the system always uses a binary search. Sorted tables are particularly useful for partially sequential processing in a LOOP if you specify the beginning of the table key in the WHERE condition.
    <b>
    Hashed tables</b>
    This is the most appropriate type for any table where the main operation is key access. You cannot access a hashed table using its index. The response time for key access remains constant, regardless of the number of table entries. Like database tables, hashed tables always have a unique key. Hashed tables are useful if you want to construct and use an internal table which resembles a database table or for processing large amounts of data.

  • Create a procedure which requires displaying information from two tables

    What if we want to create a procedure which requires displaying information from two tables. In this situation,
    I need to display all the details of an employee from an 'emp' table based on the deptno. and also their salary information which is
    stored in "Salgrade" Table. Is the use of "And" the correct way of using it?
    Do I need to declare all the attributes before begin or I can just access them directly? Thanks
    Create Procedure findDept
    ( I_deptno IN number
    ) As
    Begin
    Select Ename, Job, MGR, Hiredate, Sal, Comm, Dept_no from emp and exp, grade , location from salgrade where dept_no
    = I_Deptno;
    Exception
    When NO_Data_Found then
    DBMS_Output.Put_Line(' Department not found"|| I_deptno);
    End findDept;

    Hi,
    Besides Qwerty's remark, you've also got a quoting error:
    Change
    DBMS_Output.Put_Line(' Department not found"|| I_deptno);
    {code}
    into
    {code}
    dbms_output.put_line(' Department not found: '|| i_deptno);
    {code}
    Which leads to the question:
    What do you want to do when a record is found?
    Display it?

  • RSRV - Database Information about InfoProvider Tables

    Hello Experts,
    I have a question regarding the RSRV. I have run the check "Database Information about InfoProvider Tables " to see number of entries of the dimension tables for a cube. Afterwards I checked directly the dimension table /BIC/D* with the TC SE16. And the number of entries differs. In the RSRV I get around 26 MIO entries, but in the dimension table I get around 25 MIO entries.
    Can anybody explain me this ? For my understanding the RSRV result for the dimension table and the number of entries (SE16) should match.
    Thx in advance.

  • Need Hierarchy Information to move setups in 11.5.10.2

    Hi,
    We are trying to migrate the setups to a fresh 11.5.10.2 instance. Our both source and target instances are in same patchset level with 11i.AZ.H.Delta2 Patch applied. We successfully moved the General Foundation. Now we have to move Product Foundation Selection set in that also we moved almost all the setups. Now we have to move freight carriers. As per OTN discussion [threadID=888663|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=888663&tstart=15] we found that "Inventory Organizations" and "Inventory Parameters" has to be moved before moving freight carriers. While trying the move "Inventory parameters" we are facing some errors. So It'll be helpful if anybody can share the hierarchy information to be followed in 11i to move setups.
    Since I'm a DBA i easily moved the General Foundation. But for Product Foundation i feel some difficulty to move the setups. so please guide us with the hierarchy setups to be followed.

  • Information Disappears from Table inside PanelTabbed After ~90 seconds

    We have a page with a panelTabbed that has two tabs. Inside each tab is a region that contains a table of information bound to a VO. If you open the page, and then click on tab 2, and then click back to tab 1, and then wait approx 90 seconds, and then click back to tab 2 again, the information in the table is gone. There are no javascript errors, and there are no errors in the logs that I can find.
    This problem does not occur in our development environment where I am using the embedded WebLogic in JDeveloper. It does occur in QA, where we are using standalone WebLogic.
    Any hints or ideas for things I could check?
    Thanks in advance,
    -Bill

    When I disabled AM pooling, the values disappear immediately. (You don't have to wait ~90 seconds.) So, it looks like the transient attributes on my VO are not suriving passivation/activation.
    I have configured all VOs to passivate state, including all transient values, in the tuning section. This did not help.
    The strange thing is that the values on the first tab -- which is initially displayed -- do not disappear.
    Any hints?
    Thanks,
    -Bill

  • Gather the "System status component information" via database table

    Hello!
    Which SAP/maxdb-table contains the "System status component information" data ?
    (i.e all components installed in the Abap-part).
    What does a sql statement (via dbmcli) look like to extract this information from that table?
    Version of the ABAP AS is NW2004s, maxdb is on 7.6.01.12

    Sure. In your original post, you had a sort of a design. The general idea was right. And then you asked us to implement it. Well, that's the wrong approach. You need to make the sort-of-a-design into a real design. Don't implement anything until you know what you are going to implement.

  • No data for Parent-child hierarchy column in Pivot table view

    Hi all,
    I used OBIEE 11.1.1.6.2 Version.
    I drag one Parent-child hierarchy column and one measure and show result with a pivot table view.
    But when I click "+" icon to show detail level data,
    It messaged that: "*the layout of this view combined with the data,selections,drills,or prompt values chosen resulted in no data*."
    But it can show every-level data when I used table view.
    It was so strange..
    Did anybody meet this before?
    Thanks in advance.
    regards,
    Anne

    Hi,
    Yes, I have the same problem with pivot table for hierarchy dimension.
    If you use a normal table (not pivot) it seem to work. Unfortunatley with restrictions as normal table view have.
    Same problem still exist in 11.1.1.6.5
    I have logged a SR to Oracle about this.

  • What is the efficient way of working with tree information in a table?

    hi all,
    i have to design a database to store,access,add or delete(the tree nodes) the tree information. what is the efficient way of accomplishing it?
    let's assume the information to be stored in the table is parent,child and type(optional).The queries should be very generic(should be able to work with any database).
    anybody has any suggestions?I have to work with large data.
    quick response is highly appreciated.
    thanks in advance,

    Did you check out this link?

  • How can i create Level Based Hierarchy using multiple logical table.

    Hi All,
    in my use case i have two master logical table.
    Division_Mst(divncd,DivnName)
    Department_Mst(deptcd,DeptName)
    and one logical table which contain both column Header (divncd,deptcd)
    and fact table detail where one measure column(empcd) using aggregation count on it.
    so i want to create levelbased hierarchy like this.
    DivnName
              |------DeptName
    which are come from(Division_Mst,Department_Mst) .
    so user can see no of employees division wise and drill down to Department wise.
    How can i achieved this?
    thanks

  • Bank Information in AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_ALL table (R12)

    All,
    My requirement is to query the bank information of all the supplier sites. When I query the 'sites_all' table, I can see the bank_account_num,bank_account_name and bank_num fields with Null value. But when I check the particular supplier sites in the UI, I can see the bank information. Can anybody let me know in R12, any other supplier table captures bank information?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Sen.

    try this:
    SELECT BANK_ACCOUNT_NAME, BANK_ACCOUNT_NUM
    FROM IBY_EXT_BANK_ACCOUNTS
    WHERE EXT_BANK_ACCOUNT_ID IN
    (SELECT EXT_BANK_ACCOUNT_ID
    FROM IBY_ACCOUNT_OWNERS
    WHERE ACCOUNT_OWNER_PARTY_ID IN
    (SELECT party_id
    FROM hz_party_sites
    WHERE party_site_name = '*<your site name>*'))

  • Segment is not informed in FAGLFLEXT table

    Hi
    in my current project we are informing the "segment" field in certain documents using a substitution. The objective is to be able to discriminate those document when running the balance sheet program.
    The problem is when I execute the Balance Sheet program and set a filter for a segment value, the balance sheet is no filtered as expected.
    I have review the bseg table, and segment is informed as expected, but I have seen that segment is not informed in FAGLFLEXT. In my understanding this is the reason why balance sheet is not filtering by segment.
    Does anybody knows why segment is not informed in FAGLFLEXT?
    am I missing something?
    how segment is informed in FAGLFLEXT?
    is there any tool in order to update segment field in FAGLFLEXT when not informed?
    I'll appreciate any help. Points will be rewarded.
    Cheers!

    You must assign scenario FIN_SEGM  to your newGL ledger.
    Also pls be aware that if you're using call point 3 substitution to set SEGMENT field, the value is not transferred to FAGLFLEX* tables. You should use BAdI: FAGL_DERIVE_SEGMENT instead.
