Hit the VIP from the server side behind the CSM in L2?

We have a CSM w/ 4.1.6 and would like our RIPS to be able to access a VIP on the same CSM they are on the same subnet but different vlans in L2 design. Any ideas to make this work?

According to DE, the SSL blade will apply its local subnet mask to the incoming packet's source IP. In your case, you had a /24 subnet mask configured on the SSL's vlan, so addresses that end with .0 or .255 would be discarded since the blade treated them as network or broadcast addresses.
The workaround is to configure the lowest subnet mask on the SSL proxy vlan where traffic is received (like a /8).
Configure ssl-proxy vlan with lowest mask to receive traffic or configure ssl-proxy vlan where traffic received to lowest mask (ie,. /8 mask) or load next maintenance release image 2.1(2)

  • Calling PL/SQL from Server Side Rule

    Hi there,
    I'm wanting to call a PL/SQL procedure from a server side rule created within collaboration suite using the oesrl command line utility. I have seen examples of the XML rule which should do this together with the appropriate PL/SQL
    <account qualifiedName="UM_SYSTEM" ownerType="system">
    <rulelist event="relay">
    <rule description="Retention Rule" active="yes">
    <condition negation="no" junction="and">
    <condition>
    <attribute tag="rfc822to"/>
    <operator caseSensitive="no" op="contains"/>
    <operand>instigate.com</operand>
    </condition>
    </condition>
    <action>
    <command tag="call"/>
    <parameter>RulesPackage.archive_message</parameter>
    <parameter>test1</parameter>
    <parameter>Archive</parameter>
    </action>
    </rule>
    </rulelist>
    </account>
    The above should call the Procedure RulesPackage.archive_message when an email to anyone at instigate.com arrives in OCS. I have written and tested an appropriate package. However, I have been unable to get the rule to execute and call my PL/SQL when I send an email to trigger it.
    I have written rules which do not invoke external packages without any trouble.
    I believe the problem is that I need to register the PL/SQL package with the rules engine somehow, before the rule can find it, but I am uncertain how to do this, or even if that is indeed what I need to do.
    Any help would be most appreciated as the documentation doesn't go into too much detail.
    I am using OCS R2.
    Regards
    Oliver

    Could you please check the structure of the procedure "RulesPackage.archive_message" ? It may fail due to procedure structure.
    The structure should be similar to the below example
    PROCEDURE archive_message
    (p_event IN NUMBER,
    p_sessionid IN NUMBER,
    p_msgobj IN es_mail.mail_message_obj,
    p_param1 IN VARCHAR2,
    p_param2 IN VARCHAR2,
    p_status OUT NUMBER) AS

  • How to use mathscript node in server side with the parameter from the client side

    I tried to develop a server/client system with some algorithms written in matlab. So I included a mathscript node on the server side. The client will send the parameter to the server. According to these parameters, the sever will call the matlab functions to do some computings and then send the results back to the client. The server has to wait for all parameters received before the computings. How do I know this since I only connect the parameter variables to the inputs of mathscript node on the server. The sever cannot know whethere these parameters are the new ones or old ones since the client may send parameters multiple times?

    It seems to me you have two perfectly good options to start with. You could send all possible parameters in a single packet from the client to the server. This could be in the form of a cluster or an array of values. If by server/client you mean you are sending data over the network, then you could flatten this data to string before sending and unflatten it on the other side. Since all parameters come in one packet, you know all the data is valid every time you send data.
    The other option is to send the parameters individually, but include some extra information such as a timestamp or iteration count. The server keeps reading and storing parameter values until a packet arrives with the next timestamp. Alternatively, you could include some information such as an end-of-parameter-list boolean that is sent with every parameter. It would be false until the last parameter packet.
    Give it a thought. There are lots of solutions.

  • How do I send a raw (push) notification from the server side using an Azure mobile service?

    Hi there!
    Currently I'm able to send toast notifications to my user from my Azure mobile service using the following line of code in one of my server side scripts:
    push.wns.send(opponent_id, payload, 'wns/toast', {
    success: function(pushResponse) {
    console.log("Sent push:", pushResponse);
    request.respond(statusCodes.OK, {});
    error: function(pushResponse) {
    console.log("Error Sending push:", pushResponse);
    request.respond(500, { error: pushResponse });
    But I would like to send a raw notification to my user now, not a toast notification. I've set up a background tasks which runs as soon as a raw notification arrives(I've tested this through the diagnose option of my mobileservicehub and it works).
    I want to send a raw notification now from the server side and I'm kind off lost on how to do that. I've looked for it but can't seem to find an answer to that question, I might be looking for the wrong stuff though.
    I'm looking for a solution that looks the same as the one for a toast notification(as demonstrated in the code above).
    Your help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!
    Jan

    I found the solution to this it was in fact really really easy, I should have read the documentation more properly since it clearly said that the payload for raw notifications could be literally anything but the client has to take care of it.
    So I figured that out!

    Is it possible to use a font installed on the server-side

    You could use WEFT, but it is still limited to certain

  • Servlets store information on the server side?

    i am working on a tapestry web app.
    is there a way for servlets to store some information on the server side independently. like a http session is visible to only the user who is viewing it, somebody else cannot view somebody elses http session details. but is there a way to share some common information inbetween all user sessions/pages. i dont want to store any info within the db but somewhere within tomcat.
    i hope i am able to express my question properly.

    I am a little confused when you say:
    A user logs onto the server and a new web application is started for him then another user logs on from another place and a new web application is started for that user.
    If they are hitting the same servlet in the same context (directory under your root webapps folder) then there is one web application. Each user is just starting a new session in that one web application. Each user is not creating a new web application.
    That being said, and if it is true (all the users are using the same servlets) then you should use the ServletContext to store data you want to share between users. That is what it is designed for. In Servlets (and JSPs) you can talk about four different scopes where data gets stored in a particular application:
    1) The 'page' scope is relevant only to JSPs, and represents data that is visible only to the current JSP page for the current user. The object used is called PageContext.
    2) The 'request' scope stores data available to all servlets accessed by a single user through a single request (so if forwards, or includes are used to get from one servlet to another). The ServletRequest object is used to store this data.
    3) The 'session' scope stores data available to a single user across multiple requests. The HttpSession object stores this info.
    4) The 'application' scope stores data available to all users across all requests. The ServletContext object stores this info.
    All of the scopes have data stored/retrieved via setAttribute(key,value) and getAttribute(key) methods.
    "cant i maintain a list of users who are generating or viewing a web app from my server at any instance"
    Yes you can. I would use a SessionListener to listen for when new sessions are created. When they are get the information you need and add them to a list in the ServletContext where all users can see it. Then in the SessionListener listen for when a session is destroyed, and remove the user from the list.

  • Error while saving a workflow via sharepoint designer: Server-side activities have been updated. You need to restart SharePoint Designer to use the updated version of activities.

    While saving a workflow using SharePoint designer on a SharePoint site, I get the following error:
    Server-side activities have been updated. You need to restart SharePoint Designer to use the updated version of activities.
    Steps to recreate error:
    Login to the WFE server hosting IIS and workflow manager, open SharePoint Designer 2013 and login to a SharePoint site.
    Access the list using SharePoint Designer 2013, in the workflow section, click new workflow.
    In the new workflow dialog, enter workflow details, click save (see screenshot below).
    Error message is displayed as below:
    After restarting SharePoint Designer, the saved workflow is not seen in the site/workflows or list/workflow section.
    Workaround
    When the above steps are repeated while accessing the site via SPD from any other box besides the WFE/Workflow manager host server, the error is not encountered and its possible to save/publish workflows.
    Notes
    Workflow Manager 1.0 is installed.
    The site has been registered with Workflow manager using Register-SPWorkflowService
    cmdlet.
    Any clue on why is this happening?

  • What is the difference between jsp :include and server side include

    what is the difference between jsp :include and server side include(request dispatcher include method)????
    i understand that both request dispatcher include method and jsp:include take dynamic data,so when would one use request dispatcher include and when jsp:include.
    Is the usage interchangeable?i believe jsp include is used only for jsp/html but include directive can be used to include servlets ,jsp and html....correct me if i m wrong and
    do suggest if u hav ny other diff in this context...

    The difference really is: in what format do you want your inclusions? If your environment has many Java developers and only a few designers that focus mainly on, say, Flash, that might push you more towards the server-side include() directive. Or, if you have a large set of pages that receive dynamic content that is displayed in a consistent fashion (such as a workflow header area on a page).
    If, on the other hand, you have more web designers, there may be a greater desire to deal in markup rather than Java code. Java developers themselves might prefer to view markup (JSP) that more resembles the eventual output than something occuring in Java code.
    Finally, there are considerations of tiering. While it is totally possible to (and I have previously) implement 'view classes' that render markup or generate layout templates, JSP's offer, IMO, a subtle, psychological advantage. By forcing a developer to work in a different format, markup versus Java source, the separation on view from controller and model becomes a bit easier. It is still possible to make mistakes, but if a developer at some point notices, "Wait, I'm in a JSP, should I be importing a java.sql class?", then the choice to use JSP includes has paid off in spades.

  • Needs a background webdynpro application running at the server side

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement wherein we need to have an application running all the time at the server side to capture the response coming from a web application. Based on the response that the application receives, it needs to update some backend R/3 tables.
    We are thinking of a webdynpro java application.
    Can anyone suggest what kind of application needs to be implemented here?
    And what  would be the steps required to run the application at the server side without calling the application.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anurag

    Hi Robin,
    Thanks for the detailed explaination.
    This may sound silly to you but I've another doubt which is as follows:
    As you mentioned that the external web application will be sending requests to our Web service(in SOAP envelopes) and rest of the functionality can be  achieved by our web service.
    Actually, we are expecting only responses from the external web application. The thing is that we are sending the requests to the external web applications from our custom webdynpro application and in return the web application will be sending us 2 responses.
    First response would be back to our WD java application URL(to the browser in which WD java app is running) which would get the response and display some message based on the response.
    Second would be to this web service which you have just suggested. We are having two responses so that even if the browser in which the WD java application is running gets accidentally closed, the response from the external web application must get captured somewhere else and should not get lost in any case.
    So, now since we are only expecting the response from the web application and we do not want any requests from the web application to our web service; how is this possible?
    I am asking the above question because you have mentioned that the external web application has to request our Web service but we want is only this web service to capture the response coming from the Web application.
    Or is it like the web application will send us the response string as request string to our Web Service and the web service will capture these response parameters as request parameters from the web application and do the further processing.
    But in that case, we do not want any response to be sent by the Web Service to the external web application.
    Please suggest if this is possible.
    Once again, many thanks for the help so far.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anurag

  • Where is the binary data of this icon stored and retrieved from Application server?

    Hello guys,
    Today I observed one phenomenon and could not explain it per my knowledge.
    I have one url which points to an icon in application server:
    https://<host name>:44301/sap/public/bc/ur/nw5/themes/sap_corbu/common/libs/Icon/SuccessMessage.gif
    I could successfully open it via chrome:
    and after that I could see an entry in ICM server cache. Everything works perfectly.
    Then I tried to check this icon in mime browser in SE80. To my surprise, the folder /sap/public/bc/ur/nw5/themes is empty.
    However, the ICM cache shows that there is a subfolder called "sap_corbu" under "themes" folder. But why I cannot find it in mime browser?
    Then I write a report to retrieve the binary data of icon via CL_HTTP_CLIENT, and clear the ICM buffer via tcode SMICM.
    I expect this time some database table will be queried to load the content of the icon, since now the buffer is not available.
    To my surprise again, in SAT no database table is involved.
    So now I am confused: since I have already cleared the ICM server cache, where does the icon binary data come from when I run the report to access the icon?
    Best regards,
    Jerry

    Hello guys,
    one colleague today told me that there is a zip file "ur_mimes_nw7.zip" in MIME repository /PUBLIC/BC/UR/ur_mines_nw7.zip. I download it locally and unzip it and indeed find many theme folders including sap_corbu folder and its resource files. So I guess there must be some logic done in web application server which will unzip this archive file and put each theme folder to the corresponding folders in application server. I would assume those logic are done outside ABAP stack side, this is the reason I cannot find any hint of them in ABAP backend via tcode SAT even I clear both client and server side cache.
    Best regards,
    Jerry

  • How to delete the server side sessions

    Hi All,
    I have a wireless application and it is accessed through ptg/rm gateway from a PDA browser. Oracle wireless AS gives default login page (when the application is accessed through ptg/rm gateway) and when user login, user information session might get stored in server side (I am not sure, if any one can pls clarify me on this also?).
    Now i have a requirement, in which my application user should get 'logoff' button in each and every page of my application. When he clicks on this button the user information session should get invalidated, so that even if the user goes back to the application (using back button of the browser) he should not able to enter the application. (This is same as any std. login/logout page logic).
    Invalidating the session which resides in client side is easy (By using session.invalide()), but how can i delete the session which resides on the server side??? Whether is it possible??
    If yes then how can i do it.
    Any help will be very usefull.
    Thanks well in adavance.
    Shrikant

    Shrikant:
    Shouldn't it be easy to invalidate the server sided sessions? Right before invalidating the client side session, send a message to the server, which should call its session.invalidate() after it has obtained the current session. If desired, a message can be sent back to the browser informing user that server side session has been deleted.
