Holidays inconsistency

hi all,
i've the following problem: i've a table called holiday_tab as follows:
hol_serial hol_desc hol_date hol_days --------------------------------------------------------------------- the above table contains the dates of the official dates but doesn't contain weekend dates.
when employee take a holiday for 30 days for example i've to calculate only the working days not including weekends and official holiday..how can i avoid calculating the holiday twice if for example 20/1 is weekend and also it is official holiday i want only to let working days=29 instead of 28

Yeah, I thought of a better way.
Lets say you have a structure containing the official_holidays . Let's say it is a table off_hol (off_date date).
For a specific holiday, (hol_days div 7) should give the number of weekends contained in the holiday.
So.

    I'm badly searching for a BAPI to set the holiday information from outside of SAP.
    We have a very nice and higly accepted system to request and confirm holiday of an employee. Full workflow supported.
    The only thing missing is to automatically set the accepted and confirmed holiday in SAP. Till now we have to enter the data again manually in SAP.
    Unfortunately I don't find anything.
    Is there a already existing BAPI?

    thanks for info, but SAP shows me the function is obsolet, outdated:
    "Note!  This API method writes exclusively the IT 2001 (absences).  It should not be used any longer.  The use of these API method can lead to inconsistent time data."
    Unfortunately, they don't lead me to which function I should use instead.
    The BAPI should set all neccessary absence data including IT 0005 and remaining holidays...

  • Frustrated by Paypal's Inconsistent Withdrawal Processing Times

    Paypal has been so inconsistent. I withdrew money to my bank account 2 days ago. (June 29th).. It has now been 2 days and the withdrawal is still pending and not completed. There was a time (for about maybe 3 months) my withdrawals completed within an hour or two.. Almost instantly.
    But prior to that my withdrawals would always take 24 hours to complete. Which I dealt with because at least the money always made it to my bank account by 2 business days (48 hours) Now this recent withdrawal I made taking more than 48 hours to complete. (2;58PM EST hit the 48 hour mark) I don't know why the inconsistency. I like Paypal alot but I am soon going to have to use a different payment processor that has more consistent withdrawal and processing times because I don't know when I will get my money once I withdraw it.
    Why does it take so long for withdrawals to take place? The 4th of July holiday weekend is approaching and I need my money from Paypal. I really think this withdrawal is going to drag out and with the 4th of July weekend, I won't see a deposit until next week sometime. This doesn't make sense. It's like hit or miss when it comes to withdrawal times. I am so frustrated with Paypal. :/

    Payables Open Interface Import program is throwing INCONSISTENT SUPPL SITE, when a third party vendor site code and third party vendor site id is passed along with matching PO number for creating an invoice for third party vendor site.
    Can any one let me know, how to resolve this issue.

    this could be due to passing values which are not correct for the vendor_site_id field ....do compare this transaction with other transactions that are imported successfully past, so that we can narrow down on the data which is different ...

    Apple does not comment on their design decisions, and certainly won't do so here. If you want to comment to Apple, you can do so via their feedback page:

    The only way to "resolve" the issue as of right now is to use some other calendar application. But even BusyCal, the most common iCal alternative, doesn't display more than one month at a time in the sidebar.

    As you haven't told us who your email provider is, no.
    There isn't an SMTP server for Greece - it is either provided by your email provider, or the Internet provider you are connected through.

  • SAP System inconsistency for Inbound delivery / MIGO and a "sap note"

    Hello Friends ,
    After following SAP instruction on how to remove the inconsistency between posting GR through MIGO (Inv. mang.) and the reflection of the goods movement status in the inbound delivery document - done that using sap note 570991
    the problem is that the system start behaving in a weird way throwing unjustified Error messages for any suggested goods receipt using MIGO with reference to inbound
    for example after creating an inbound delivery document and trying to post it via migo , an error will pop up
    - Inbound delivery storage location cannot be changed to here Message no. VLA316
    the thing is i didn't even maintain any storage location entry up to that point and yet i cannot post any stock !!
    also another error  like
    - Inbound delivery batch cannot be changed to *** here
    which doesn't make any sense because there is not batches in the inbound document !!
    i think this behavior is coming from the "Document Flow Update for Stock Postings" inbound  indicator  at the shipping parameter at client level customization
    i need help on  how to overcome this annoying SAP Bug/Problem specially i am in a post go live critical situation

       The messages you mentioned were introduced to avoid inconsistency between inbound delivery and IM, through the note:  1050944 - GR for inbound delivery using inventory mgmt as of ECC 6.00
       If the messages are issued incorrectly, then you may check for SAP notes (I couldnt find anything relevant) or raise an OSS ticket to SAP.

    So if you read through the logic of the script, it looks for Hokiday1 in the XML file theN Holiday2 then Holiday3, etc. As soon as it find one that doesn't exist is when the loop ends. If it doesn't find any, it returns null. Since your XML file starts with Holiday2, it returns null when looking for Holiday1 and then exits the script. I would try changing your XML file to begin with Holiday1 and aee what the debugging looks like after that.

  • Inconsistency between catalog authoring tool & Search engine

    We are on CCM2.0 and SRM5.0 with catalog deployment in the same client as SRM.
    In our implementation we are using master catalog and product catalog. We have very recently deleted around 65 items from our product catalog which is mapped to mater catalog and hence those 65 items are not found anymore in master catalog in CAT (Catalog authoring tool).
    This master catalog when published, we expect that these 65 products should not be available for end users.
    But end users can still see the deleted items through CSE (Catalog search engine). Thus there is data inconsistency between CAT & CSE.
    Has anyone faced similar issue before if yes can you please share the same with us.

    Run TCODE SE38 program /CCM/CLEANUP_MAPPING to look for errors/orphaned records in test mode.
    If you want to clear out orphaned records uncheck the Test Mode but:
    Warning: This program can slow down a production system as it clears out the memory buffers for user catalog searches and these have to be built up again by the users doing searches.  This can be  hours to days depending upon the size of your system and the number of users.
    In Dev or UAt no problem.

    Does anyone else consider this a minor design bug in the Get-ChildItem command?

    # this "fails", returns nothing
    get-childitem c:\temp -include a*,b*
    # this "works", returns desired files
    get-childitem c:\temp\* -include a*,b*
    # this "works", excludes undesired files
    get-childitem c:\temp -exclude a*,b*
    # this "fails", excludes undesired files BUT RECURSES sub-directories
    get-childitem c:\temp\* -exclude a*,b*
    I'm writing a wrapper script around the GCI cmdlet, but the inconsistency between the two parameters is problematic.  My end user will surely just type a path for the path parameter, then wonder why -include returned nothing.  I can't unconditionally
    add an asterisk to the path parameter, since that messes up the exclude output.
    I'm just wondering why Microsoft didn't make the parameter interaction consistent???

    The Get-ChildItem cmdlet syntax is horrific for advanced use. It's not a bug in the classic sense, so you shouldn't call it that. However, feel free to call it awful, ugly, disastrous, or any other deprecatory adjective you like - it really is
    nasty.
    Get-ChildItem's unusual behavior is rooted in one of the more 'intense' dialogues between developers and users in the beta period. Here's how I recall it working out; some details are a bit fuzzy for me at this point.
    Get-ChildItem's original design was as a tool for enumerating items in a namespace -
    similar to but not equivalent to dir and
    ls. The syntax and usage was going to conform to standard PowerShell (Monad at the time) guidelines.
    In a nutshell, what this means is that the Path parameter would have truly just meant Path - it would not have been usable as a combination path specification and result filter, which it is now. In other words
    (1) dir c:\temp
    means you wanted to return children of the container c:\temp
    (2) dir c:\temp\*
    means you wanted to return children of all containers inside
    c:\temp. With (2), you would never get c:\tmp\a.txt returned, since a.txt is not a container.
    There are reasons that this was a good idea. The parameter names and filtering behavior was consistent with the evolving PowerShell design standards, and best of all the tool would be straightforward to stub in for use by namespace
    providers consistently.
    However, this produced a lot of heated discussion. A rational, orthogonal tool would not allow the convenience we get with the dir command for doing things like this:
    (3) dir c:\tmp\a*.txt
    Possibly more important was the "crash" factor.  It's so instinctive for admins to do things like (3) that our fingers do the typing when we list directories, and the instant failure or worse, weird, dissonant output we would get with a more pure Path
    parameter is exactly like slamming into a brick wall.
    At this point, I get a little fuzzy about the details, but I believe the Get-ChildItem syntax was settled on as a compromise that wouldn't derail people expecting files when they do (3), but would still allow more complex use.  I think that this
    is done essentially by treating all files as though they are containers for themselves. This saves a lot of pain in basic use, but introduces other pain for advanced use.
    This may shed some light on why the tool is a bit twisted, but it doesn't do a lot to help with your particular wrapping problem. You'll almost certainly need to do some more complicated things in attempting to wrap up Get-ChildItem. Can you describe some
    details of what your intent is with the wrapper? What kind of searches by what kind of users, maybe? With those details, it's likely people can point out some specific approaches that can give more consistent results.

  • Inconsistency between tbtco and tbtcs

    we have a big problem after our HWU upgrade.
    We have copied the content of tbtco into a new table tbtco_copy before the upgrade to save all the job entries.
    After this we have deleted the contant of tbtco. So we had no scheduled jobs for the HWU
    After the HWU we have copied back the content of tbtco_copy into tbtco.
    But now we have a inconsistency between tbtco and tbtcs. This means that all planed and released jobs are not starting (delay goes up).
    How we can start this jobs << Removed >>

    Has anyone done worked with sap Benefits on configuring where EE can sell and buy certain number of the days? requirement is An employee with 25 days holiday will be eligible now for 33 days holiday (25 + 8). they can buy up to a total of 40 days off or sell down to 32, but they have to take 32 days as holiday, and canu2019t take more than 40, total. They can either buy 8 or have 40 days off. OR they can sell 8 days but not lower than 32 days off. Payroll is in ADP and time management is in sap. We have quota types and absence type configuired for this benefit plan....any information onactual configuration will be valuable as I have already started the configuration....Thanks already

    greater than 1 day, i.e. my half day solution works but only when the start and end date are the same. How would I change the user interface to allow users to choose which day they want the half day to be requested when the vacation leave holiday request is
    from, say,  6th - 10th Jan 2014?

    I have a test on my machine with a custom approval workflow and it can work normally .Here are the detailed steps :
    1.      
    Open the site in SharePoint Designer .Create a workflow to associate with the document library .Set the workflow to start when an item is created and when an item is changed
    .Also allow the workflow to start manually .
    2.      
    Choose ‘Collect Data from a user’ .
    3.      
    Click on the data and give a name to the Task created .
    4.      
    Define the custom form field name as ‘Approve ?’ .Set the information type as Choice .
    5.      
    Set the choices as ‘Approve’ and ’Reject’ .Display as Checkboxes .Uncheck the ‘Allow fill-in values’ and ‘Allow blank values’
    .Click finish to save .
    6.      
    Click on users and add the users who will approve the documents .
    7.      
    Keep the output to variable as collect .
    8.      
    Add a new step .Choose ‘If any value equals value ’ .Set the any value ‘Data source’ as  workflow variables and parameters .Set the ‘Field
    from source’ as Variable: collect .
    9.      
    Set the value behind ‘equals ’ as ‘Approve’ .
    10.  
    Add a new action ‘Update list item ’ .Set the item as current item .Add the field Approval status as Approved .
    11.  
    Add an Else-if branch to update the Approval status as Rejected .
    12.  
    Publish the workflow and test in your site .

  • Switched from BB Torch 3 mths ago, not 100% satisfied, I'm trying...I plugged in my bfs Macpro to charge, I didn't get a prompt asking what I wanted to do(BB does), all my bfs txt msgs,pics were on my phone, EVERYTHING, my holiday pics R gone:(  why

      I don't understand why there wasn't a prompt to ask what I wanted to do, when my phone was plugged into my bfs computer.  My BB always asked what I wanted to do, and in order to answer, I had to unlock my phone.  I lost everything, from pics of us cutting down our tree, which was actually the top of a 17ft tree, and us holding it after we had trimmed it to the size we wanted... All pics of our holidays & New Years, which was our first year we got to spend it together, so they were really special to me.  I have had my issues with not being able to go in the middle of a word, to correct spelling, and not having the keyboard like the torch, but I was trying my best to learn to love the iPhone, like anyone I know who has one, had told me I would come to love it.  I am completely devastated over this, and I can not understand how this could have happened.  Shouldn't I of had a prompt, asking me to restore my phone???  Something to notify me of what was going to happen...Anything, but it went ahead and changed my phone over, which even has the background/wallpaper choices of the iPhone5.  I lost all my contacts, and my notes???   I have health problems and kept a record of everything, which I have done with my blackberry, and its all gone...every bit of it:(   All my apps had my bfs AppleID and had to change all of that, and to my surprise, all my reminders came back the day after.  How could this possibly have happened to me???    I had a lock on my phone, and if anything, I thought the iPhone would be the same as the blackberry when it came to that, but even better, and I was wrong, but I paid for my poor lack of judgement...to me, the price I paid for it, I will never forget it.  When I saw the reminders had come back, I thought there may be a chance of recovering the rest of the data I lost on my phone....well, I am hoping, praying, there is a way to retrieve it all. 
      If anyone can help me with this, please, please, please, I would soooooo appreciate it...it means the world to me, and if its possible to do, I'll stay with iPhone:)

    There was a prompt. It asked if you wanted to set it up as a new phone or restore from a backup. You, or someone, selected "Restore from Backup".
    What were you backing it up to before you did this? If your computer, plug it in to your computer and restore.
    If iCloud, go to Settings>General>Resets>Reset All Content and Settings. When it goes through the setup, tell it to restore it from your iCloud backup.
    If nothing, then the content of your phone is gone.
