the volume and playing time bars under the now playing song are all stars like for my rating... i can scroll thru them all but theyre all stars...

maybe I'm new here, but I noticed that happens when you push the middle button when listening to a song....if you keep pressing it, it will go back to just the time bar...

Just had BT Total Broadband activated, this morning. Everything running fine and dandy, good speeds, etc...
However....
My '@btinternet' email address does not work, obviously I need this to setup BTFon, Email Accounts, Security software and Digital Vault.
I tried logging into the BT/Yahoo webmail, and its telling me Im using an Invalid Email, Please enter a valid username, (e.g. [email protected]).
Am I being a bit hopeful, thinking everything will be setup today, and will have to wait a few days for this, or, do you think ive got a more serious problem?

Hi. Welcome to the forums.
The email address may not wirk until late in the day, even up until midnight of activation.
As you have reported, it's now working - so no need to wait until the next morning to check, and contact the moderators for activation.
May I ask what package you're on ? If it's one of the "allowance" options, 10GB/40GB - then you might like to keep an eye on the online usage monitor. Have a look at my shortcuts (link below), choosing one of the options in 14d-14g to see which shows the figure. It might not be available on the first day.

For months my husband has not been able to message or FaceTime. Several article I read stated the next update would fix the problem...it didn't. Any ideas?
1. Make sure software is up to date
2. Make sure FaceTime is enabled; Settings>FaceTime
3. Make sure Date and Time is correctly set; Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
4. Make sure Push Notification is enabled
5. Make sure phone number or email address is correct
6. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together) until you see the Apple Logo -
On Windows Vista and tried several times to start up my iTunes, but keep getting 'application failed MSVCR80.dll error-7 (windows 126) is this an easy fix ...?
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I want to backup my MacBook Pro to iCloud, but receive the error message "recovery partition required". Is this easy to fix?
Thanks for your time.Sounds like your missing the partition. I have seen this before when I friend had a bad drive and took it in. Apple store replaced the driveamd installed lion but no partition. I had to reinstall lion from a full install DVD to build the recovery partition. Looks like you need to do the same. No data will be lost if you don't re-partition with the disk util. Just run the lion install from within lion and use the default. It will build the partition for you. Then re-run the apple updates for the 10.7.2 update which embeds the find my Mac part of iCloud in the recovery partition.

Welcome to the all volunteer Captivate forum. Several options.
- Add <Back and Next> buttons on each slide manually
- Place click boxes on the screen. This is a neat way to do it because the click box can be the entire screen with a 100% transparency. However, users must know to click the screen to advance and then there is no <Back or rewind type option
- Correct interactions can be added with click boxes. Use Captions to ask the user to do something and when they click the right place, the series advances.

I just got a new powerbook and the "L" key is a little less responsive than the rest of the keys. When I press it it doesn't snap down and back up as easily as the rest and is kinda annoying. Just wondering if this is something that is taken care of quickly at the genius bar. Thanks for the info.

WIthout knowing exactly what's causing your "L" key to stick or lack action, it's difficult to say how easy the fix would be. But, its definitely not a bad idea to take it in to the Genius Bar and let them have a look at it. The fix just might be something simple, like a replacement key or fixing the mount that the key is on, which they might be able to do right there. If it's something more serious, which I kind of doubt, it's still better to know sooner rather than later and get it taken care of asap.
Post back and let us know what they say. I can say this, once your keyboard is fixed and working properly, you're going to love it. For me, this PowerBook has the best typing action of any keyboard I've ever used (and I've been through a heap).

this still didn't fix iPad connectivity after updating to iOS 6.0.1 !!! intermittent wi-fi connection, even with a direct line-of-sight to the router.Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Regarding iTunes U courses, would I be able to link to books/sites (like say an amazon hardback book or link to a kindle book they can purchase and download). Considering that not all books are available on iBooks I'm hoping this is allowed. Also the possibility on monetizing since amazon gives commission for linking.
This question is for both the uncredited (private) courses and the bigger accredited accounts. I am a developer trying to learn how to help my area schools and also have some ideas for my own courses. Obviously keeping within the iTunes U app would be preferred in most cases (to the learning experience) since they can take notes and see them within the app itself.
If the reply comes from a non-apple employee please let me know (or better yet, link to) where that is clarified. I would hate to develop something just to later find out it is against the apple iTunes U agreement.Fair question
And, to be even more fair, I have to tell you that I get that every single day. And it's getting worse (or better, depending on how you look at it).
I always try to let people know it's a long way until you get to a confortable point, a point where you can create something. And that's exactly what I am trying to do, or at least asking how/if I should do it. And then I let them know where to start. That's what I want.

After Aple support downloaded the new 10.9.2 Maverick upgrade on my MacBook Air, my Photosmart C4480 3 in 1 printer can not scan a document and load the file on to my desktop or document file. (You can see the doc image in the preview but it doesn't save it.) Does anyone know an Apple fix for this or when the fix will be out? After hours of trying reloading, and the usual fixes, etc. Apple told me to call HP, and HP told me they don't support Mac. It does not seem honorable of Apple to put out an upgrade and not tell people it will destroy their scanning ability, and that the only thing to do is to buy another printer/scanner.
Have you tried using Applications/Image Capture to scan.

Todays update! After todays update I can no longer send Safari or Spotify to the task bar without it cutting out (dropping audio in and out). Streams normally if I keep the window open on my desktop. This needs to be fixed immediately.

I have restored it twice and updated it, the water sensor shows it has not been wet. Not jail-broken and exterior buttons all work. It seems to have problems connecting and being found by a computer (Windows). How do i fix this and will Apple fix it? Thanks

Anyways when I go to it theres a drop-down list and you select the one you want and I know the number next to it identifies the model but the thing is they don't have my model listed so my main question is, what version eg. 2.1.1. or 2.2.1 etc. etc. etc. etc. will work with my model of ipod touch which is the 2g Model A1288?
