House Bank data upload problem

Hi,
I trying to upload data for bank through transaction FI12. My
problem is that if you go this tranx through recording then the
left side table i.e. dialog structure is disappearing.
Due to this, im unable to create bank accounts for a house bank.
Through recording im able to create only House banks but not
Bank Accounts.
Generally for bank creation, House bank is sufficient but i
require with respect to company code what are the bank accounts
created.
Can anyone help on this.

Hi Zagory,
I think at the time of this particular job starting there are other jobs running with Background User Owner or there might be other background jobs running with Priority  A . SO  try to reschedule the JOb at some later point in time where system is less busy ......or one more option is to try to increase the System Dialog run Time in RZ10 transaction ...Ask ur basis team they will do for you ...
But try first option first......
Assign points if it helps.....

Vijay.

  • Data upload problem in delta update from 1st ODS to 2nd ODS

    Dear Friends,
I am loading data from one ODS to another. The update mode was full upload. Sometime back an error occurred in activation of the first ODS. The error was: Full updates already available in ODS ,Cannot update init./delta. So currently daily records are pulled but not added i.e. transferred recs = 4000 but added recs = 0.
When I looked for a solution in SDN I found that using program RSSM_SET_REPAIR_FULL_FLAG for 2nd ODS will reset all full uploads to Repair Full Request which I have already done for 2nd ODS. Then initialize once and pull delta.
But problem is that I cannot set update mode to delta as I am pulling some 80,000 records in 2nd ODS from 1st ODS with around 14 lacs records daily based on some data-selection filters in infopkg. But do not see any parameters for data-selction in delta mode.
    Please suggest.

    Dear Sirs,
Due to this error in activation in 2nd ODS daily data upload is failing in 1st ODS.
To correct this I converted all full upload requests in 2nd ODS to Repair full requests.
But now when I scheduled the infopkg today with full upload again data was transferred but not added.
I know I cannot have init./ delta so what possibly can now be done in this scenario. Please help.

  • House Bank Configuration/ Assignment

    Hi All ,
I need information on House Bank Configuration/ Assignment with respect to business area. Its very urgent.....
    regards
    PSNG

Bank that your company used for banking purposes.
It is also the first step for configuring your Account Payable Modules.
    FI12 - Configure House Bank
    House Banks
First Step: We first create House Banks. These are the banks for
your clients. Your client uses these for its banking transactions. One House Bank can have multiple bank accounts assigned
    to it.
During the implementation one can try to rationalize both, the Banks and the Accounts.
    A House Bank has
a Unique Bank Key. Bank Keys differ by each country's norms. The US Bank Key is called ABA (American Banking Association)
number. Normally each House Bank can have its own Company Code. In some cases, where the Banks use a different ABA key for
paper Transactions and a different one for Electronic Transactions, you Create Two House Banks instead of one for One
Physical Bank. Also, Two Bank Accounts will be created for a Single GL Account.
    T-Code: FI12
    Menu Path:
Financial Accounting > General Ledger Accounting > Bank-Related Accounting > Bank Accounts > Define House Banks
    Config
    Steps:
A House Bank is tied to a Company Code and each Bank Account is tied to a House Bank. So first we Select the
Company Code for which the House Bank is to be created.
The Create Bank icon is clicked and it brings up a pop up for
House Bank Identifier and House Bank Country. House Bank ID is a number decided by you. You can specify a number based on
    your numbering conventions.
The Next screen requires entry of the Bank Key - the ABA number is the House Bank country
selected was US. On this screen you also enter the House Bank Address data as well Control Data - comprising of SWIFT COde,
    Bank Group and Bank Number.
Once the House Bank data has been entered and filled up, you click on Bank Accounts and
you are taken to the screen to configure the Bank Accounts. On the Next screen click on the "Create Acct" icon.
    A pop
up comes up where you enter the House Bank Identifier in your system as well as the Bank Account identifier in your system
along with a text description. Once this is done, we get to the main screen where we enter the following
    data:
Bank Account: The Bank Account given BY the Bank.
Altern. Acct No.: This field is used when two
accounts at the same bank use the same account number. This situation may arise when the bank manages the accounts in two
different currencies. This field has a different number than the Bank Account field.
    Currency: This is the
currency in which the account is managed.
Control Key: For US Banks, this is used to identify whether the account
is a Checking or Savings account. The key is 01 for Checking and 02 for Savings. The Default value is checking account if
    nothing is specified.
GL Account: Each Bank Account is assigned to a GL Account Number. The Bank Account updates
    the GL Account entered here.
Discount Account: If the company uses the Bill of Exchange facility then we enter the
Cash Discount Account for Credit Memo Postings that this Bank Account should update.
    Bank Account
    Structure
It is important to have the right structure for Bank Accounts, GL Accounts and the Clearing
    Accounts.
It is important to know how much of:
    Confirmed Cash,
    Floating Cash out, and
    Floating Cash
    in
is available for the company on a particular day.
There should be Only One Confirmed Cash GL Account with many
Bank Clearing Accounts. So, the Checks Outgoing Clearing, Wire Outgoing, ACH Out, and Deposits clearing need to be set up
for each Bank Account. It is also important to leave room for additional clearing accounts that may be needed in future.
For this, we may have a range of 10 GL Accounts for each Bank Account. The numbering, for example, can have the GL Account
ending with 0 for each Confirmed Cash Balance (eg: 110000); each deposit clearing account will end up with a 1 (110001); each
outgoing check clearing account will end with a 2. each outgoing ACH account will end with a 3 and each outgoing wire
account may end up with a 4.
Check Lots and Void Reason Codes
The final step in configuring of the AP Bank
Account is to assign it to a check lot.
    Check Lots
If the company has a MICR printer then a blank
check lot can be used for Payables. The check lot determines the check number that is used on payments.
    The first
step is to bring up the "Check Lots" screen.
    T-code: FCHI
    Menu Path: Financial Accounting >
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business transactions > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment media > Check
Management > Define Number Ranges for Checks
On the main screen you need to fill up Company Code, House Bank number,
and the Account ID for which the checks are being created (?)
After saving the information click on "Change Status"
icon. This takes you to "Maintain Check Lots" screen. Most of the information will come filled up. You can enter the From
    and To check Numbers.
To create a new check lot and assign it to the account, you can click on the "Create" icon. In
the pop up enter the Lot number identifier and he range of the check numbers and also the next lot number if
    needed.
    Void Reason Codes
In SAP, it is not possible to void a check without a valid reason code. We
can have any number of Void Reason codes. There should be at least one Void reason Code configured in the
    system.
    T-code: FCHV
Menu Path: Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business
Transactions > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment media > Check Management > Define Void Reason Codes.
    Three Void
reason Codes come pre-configured - 1, 2, and 3. They deal with the problems encountered with the printers. There are
indicators to be assigned which define whether the Reason Code is due to Manual or Print program. Any codes created by the
    users are only assigned Manual.
    Payment Program Configuration
This step determines how to process
the payment transactions in the system.
The Payment Program is a series of steps within one Program.
    The
configuration occurs in table T042 and other variations of table T042 that end in a letter.
    T-Code:
    FBZP
Menu Path: Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business Transactions > Outgoing
Payments > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment Method/Bank Selection > Configure Payment Program
    assign points if useful

  • Vendor Bank changes affect House Banks

    Hi,
We noticed that users with Bank Maintenance authorization (TCode FI02) for changing vendor bank details are able to change "House Bank data", e.g. vendor bank is also a house bank  -> a user changes the vendor bank details (e.g. SWIFT code for a given bank) in the Vendor Master Change-screen (Change Vendor XK02 -> Payment Transaction -> Bank Data) --> result: it also changes the SWIFT code in the House Bank.
Does someone know what the relationship between Vendor Banks and House Banks looks like (Table BNKA vs Table T012) ?
What would be the best approach to restrict "House Bank Changes"? (e.g. if a user changes a vendor bank that is a house bank as well a Warning message should show up - check against table T012)
Did somebody face the same issue?
    Any comments are highly appreciated!
    Many Thanks,
    Jason

Fields in Vendor Master data can be defined as Sensitive fields, so that when a user changes a field in the Vendor Master data, it will be blocked for payments and also that the changes need to be confirmed by another user.
For Settings SPRO -> Financial Accounting -> AR and AP -> Vendor Accounts -> Master Data -> Preps for Creating Vendor Master data -> Preparations for Creating Vendor Master Data -> Define Sensitive Fields for Dual Control (Vendors)
For Confirmation of Changes -> Easy Access -> Accounting -> Financial Accounting -> Accounts Payable -> Master Records -> Confirmation of Changes -> Single (T-Code FK08)

  • House bank information on f110 form

I am working with the f110 printing of the "collective order" form. on our form, the user wants to see the house bank. the developer before created text variants (so10) to hold the house bank data and used an include in the form. My question that why would you use the selective text if the house bank data is already in the system?  Has anybody worked on this form and is this the process that is required? is there a reason why the house bank information from the system would not be used on the form?
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
I also feel it should be possible to get the House Bank Details with field HBKID instead of using Std Text. Is it a std SAP form. If so please mention the form name.

  • House banks - Regarding

    Hi FI gurus,
Could anyone plz tell me Atmost howmany house banks can be configured.

    Hi Navajeevan,
A house bank in SAP is the representative of the bank with which the organisation does business. Each house bank in a company code is represented in the SAP R/3 System by a bank ID and each account maintained with a house bank is represented by an account ID. There is no limit on the number of house bank you configure but it is suggested that you keep it to minimum. You use the bank ID and the account ID in the SAP R/3 System to enter bank details. These entries are used to determine the bank details for a particular payment for automatic payment transactions, for example.
Standard Configuration:Some house banks are delivered in the standard system as examples to show you how the payment program works.
To enter the settings for your house bank, choose:
    Master data->House banks.
Enter the Company code for your house bank.
Via Goto-> House banks, you can call up a list of all house banks in the selected company code.
Via Goto->Bank accounts, you can view a list of all bank accounts in the specified company code.
Double-click on an entry in one of the lists to reach the input screen of the related house bank or bank account.
If you wish to create a new bank in the current company code, choose:
Edit->Create bank.Enter the house bank and the bank country, and confirm your entries by pressing ENTER .This takes you to the initial screen for house bank data. Here, you can also enter data for data medium exchange, bank accounts and related bank accounts.
    Save your entries.
If you wish to create a new bank account in the current company code, choose: Edit->Create account. Enter the House bank, the Account ID and a Text for the account and confirm your entries by pressing ENTER .This takes you to the initial screen for bank account data.Save your entries.
You can automatically assign house banks to transactions via standing instructions.
Hope I had been able to help you out. Please assign points.

  • House bank matter

    Hi Friends,
We have a client working in 4.7 which has a house bank say OLD bank. We are now told that they want to change the name of the bank to NEW bank and also it has a new bank account number.
    My question is :
Do we go and change the OLD bank name with new name and also with new account number /OR/ we create a new house bank as NEW bank and give it ranking order 1
    AND
What would be the effect in accounting in either case ??
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Scenario 1 - The house bank number once created cannot be changed but you can change the name of the house bank under the house bank data tab clicking the change button on the right hand side. Rest all remains the same.
Scenario 2 - But in case the client wishes to change even the house bank number then you have to create a new house bank assign a new account id and assign the same Bank GL account number or a new one to the hosue bank
There wont be any accounting impact, the process will be same as before in scenario 1 except that the name of the bnak changes. In scenario 2, the GL account will change as well as the house bank number is changed. There will not be any accounting entry change with these changes.
    hope this clarifies
    regards,
    radhika

  • Define house bank

    Dear Sir,
    > >
    > > hope u rfine. I'm having a doubt and I hope you'd clear it. Suppose I'm
    > > having 4 bank accounts (say a/c no. 101, 102, 103 & 104) in one bank (say
    > > Bank of Baroda). Do I need to create 4 house banks for each account or 1
    > > house bank under which I'll create 4 accounts ? I'll be making payment
    > > through f-58 using all 4 accounts at different time
I want to create 01 house bank and under it 4 accounts b'coz client is having 4 accounts in UTI and they use cheque payments only.
    Thnks...

    Hai,
4 bank accounts can be defined under 1 house bank but the problem is it'll not recognise 1 payment method for all the four accounts. 4 different payment methods have to be assigned to the 4 accounts and that'll not solve the problem when the client maintains only "cheque" payment method for all the accounts.
    thanx

  • Renaming an existing House Bank

    Hello All,
Based on new requirements, i have to change the name of the house bank from ABN to RBS. When using FI12, there is one House Bank id ABN00 having 2 account ids. FI12 only gives me the option to change the name of the bank but not the house bank id or the account id. Do i have to delete the existing entries & create new ones?
    Thank you,
    Anu Jose

    Hi,
we can not change the house bank ID once created. We can change Bank address and House bank data only.
we have to delete the current entry and create new one. Or create a new one and make sure that no one will use the old entry.
    regards,
    Balaji.

  • House Bank number problem with BSP import

    Hi,
I have a problem when i import an bank statement that i get an error that the house banknumber is not the same as in de import file. I believe the problem is that in de house bank definition in SAP there are dots (.) between the housebank number like 12.56.58.789 and in the import file on row :25 there are no dots between the number 125658789. Does anybody know how to solve this problem ? i tried something with the add-on format definition and find out that the field "AccountInfo" need some changes.
The expression that is used in the bfp file is      (?<=:25:)[^\r\n]*(?=\r\n)
    Can somebody help me?
    THANKS
    Mark

    Hi Mark,
The rule for importing data from a bank statement is that house bank account defined in B1 and the data filled into account number field should match bit by bit. So in your case there are two options:
    1. change the account number definition in B1 to remove all the dots.
    2. if that's impossible, you have to change the BFP file via Format Definition add-on to insert the dots into the pure digit series. that could be done by assigning a mapping method to the account number field.
use concat() function and substring() function together. about the usage of the function ,you can refer to the online help of the tool.
    Cheers,
    Tedy

  • How to avoid the House Bank when creating a vendor from the HR master data?

    Hi all,
I am using T-code PRAA in order to generate the vendors from the HR master data.
It works fine, but the programs tries to record a House Bank in the company code view of the vendor.
    Which I don't want.
Does anyone know how to get rid of the house bank ?
I already tried, by deleting the entry in the characteristic TRVHB, through PE03, but then, the file is not generated successfully.

    Hi Madhuri,
Best way to avoid such problem is to use TAB delimited file instead of comma separated data. Generally TAB does not appear in data.
If you are generating the file, use tab instead of comma.
If you cannot modify the format of file and data length in file is fixed character, you will need to define the structure and then move data in fixed length structure.
