I wanted to know "How are local and state taxes setup/updated when employee's address changes . - How is it done in SAP? -

This defeats the purpose of trying to centralize SAP-related web resources on the SAP server. Typically IIS/Apache or other non-SAP servers are under the control of IT and not the SAP BASIS group.
We simply would like to have a centralized location to store static web files so that they are not overwritten during Portal support pack applications.

    Aperture 3.6 and Yosemite have been a nightmare for me unfortunately.  Every time I try to open it since updating to Yosemite it quits unexpectedly within 5 seconds or less.  I've tried repairing and rebuilding the library but that did not help.  Just get the below message.

  • Adobe reader does not always down load IRS and state tax forms.

    Can I pay for the Adobe Reader service so it will always download the Fed and state tax returns in  PDF format.  Now, most of the time nothing happens even though I have Adobe Reader X.   go on line, bring up the form and then  no matter what I do nothing prints.

    Adobe Reader is a free software to view, print and collaborate on PDF files.
    There is no paid version of it.
    Are you able to download the tax returns? If yes, are the downloaded files in PDF format?
    Try to open PDF files in Adobe Reader and try to print it. What happens when you try to do it?
    Also can you try to open any pdf using your Web Browser, ex- http://www.education.gov.yk.ca/pdf/pdf-test.pdf ant try printing it.

    Use
    In the Philippines, companies are required to submit Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) forms 2550M for the monthly (value-added tax) report and 2550Q for the quarterly VAT report. However, these forms also include information not provided by the SAP System, such as advance payments. Using the Advance Return for Tax on Sales and Purchases report, you can print the relevant VAT data and enter it in forms 2550M and 2550Q.
    Integration
    The report is based on the SAP List Viewer (ALV), which enables you to define your own display variants, according to the BIR requirements listed below.
    Activities
    To access the report, from the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Accounting --> Financial Accounting --> General Ledger --> Reporting --> Tax Reports --> General --> Advance Return for Tax on Sales/Purchases --> Advance Return for Tax on Sales/Purchases.
    You need to make the following settings, in addition to your specific selection criteria:

    The Generic Withholding Tax Report has several options for reporting. 
    The report can be run without the Output Group field populated, or it can be run with one of the PH1 to PH5 options as it relates to the reporting forms/requirements

    While invoking local methods, java passes primitive types by value and objects by reference.
    However while invoking remote methods both these data types are passed by value. Except for the objects being exported. Reason being two different JVM's are involved and thus memory addresses references of one are meaningles for the other. However "pass by value" for values of type object are implemented as deep copy.

    Most tables with attribute master data like T001 for company codes,
    have a text master data table T001T (add "T" to table name).
    When looking at the content of table T001 via transaction se11,
    the text are automatically joined.
    But for some tables there is no "T"-table (e.g. table TVBUR for sales offices
    has no text table TVBURT), but in se11 you get texts. There is an address
    link in TVBUR, but the Name1, etc. are empty.
    a) Where are the text stored?
    b) How does the system know of the link?

    The master and text table are not linked by name, of course, if you see the text table, it has the same key fields of master table, only it has the field key spras and the field for description.
    The link beetween the tables is done by foreign key: if you check the text table TVKBT u need to see how the foreign key for field VKBUR is done:
    -> Foreing key with table TVBUR
    -> Foreing key field type -> KEY FIELD FOR A TEXT TABLE
    ->Cardinality-> 1-:CN
    It's very important the attribute sets for Foreing key field type, if it's KEY FIELD FOR A TEXT TABLE, it'll mean the table is a text table: i.e. that mean the master table is a check table for the text table, where the foreign key type is for text table.
    U can find out the text table of master table by SE11: GoTo->Text Table
    U can fined some information in table DD08L.

    You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
    Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)

    Your WiFi/Bluetooth chip has failed.  Bring the phone (and $199 if outside the warranty period) to Apple for replaceement.

  • SRP521W - Local and Remote Traffic Cannot be the Same Subnet Address

    I support an existing VPN infrastructure with PIX, Juniper NS5GT, and Netopia devices used as VPN endpoints. In all cases, I can create a VPN where the location's internal subnet, 10.x.y.0/24 sends traffic to 10.0.0.0/8 out the VPN tunnel. In the case of this 521W that we are evaluating, it appears that I cannot do this. Insteadm when creating the IPSEC policy I get this error "Local and Remote Traffic Cannot be the Same Subnet Address." Which, while strictly true, has never been an issue with all the above devices. Is there a workaround or other methodology to support this?

    The Mac software - iPhoto, iMovie, and iDVD are not the best with the Ken Burns effect (zoom in/out effect), so you might want to minimize that effect; also, if your subjects are wearing stripes for instance, that will have an effect if you zoom. There is better software available for slideshows; however, I do not know of any that is free (and does a good job). I've used Photo to Movie for some time; it does a fine job even in HD, but you have to pay for it. I use iDVD extensively, but only to add a menu, theme, special effects, etc. and then to burn it.

    Just came back from vacation and saw your thread (which should have been posted in the HRP HCM Payroll North America forum).  We applied SAPKE60061 in late November and the Canadian YE Note in mid-December and didn't come across that problem, but then again we don't have any Quebec employees.
    What version are you on ?

  • How to avoid unemployment state tax for unemployed

    This is for Layoff people
    The wage type 1234 is assigned to employee when layoff. Basically the payroll schema replaces regular wagetype from basic pay to layoff WT 1234.
    This WT1234 should only deduct Employee portion of FED, State and local taxes.
    So I created a new Tax model to do this. Everything works fine but unfortunately it deducts ER Unemployement state tax (/410 02).
    I tried adding tax type 10 as 'N' in tax combo table. With that it creates additional line in BSI calculation output with 0.00 for tax type 10
    Now sure where I am missing something.
    Need Help

    First go and check what is the specification for this wagetype 1234 in PRCL 71. let's say it is "1".
    Create a new tax classification for PRCL 71 for this wagetype. here is how you do it. SM30 --> T52D2. Select PRCL 71 and create a new entry such as a special character @, $ , ) etc.,
    Now, go to the table V_512W_D and assign the new value you created above to the wagetype 1234.
    Goto SE16, T5UTM and selection tax class "1". it will display lot of entries for different tax models. Also you will see R, U, W for each of those models. All that you need to do is when you go into to SM30, make sure you copy this entry for tax classification "$" for all except "U" in the field "Res./wrk./UI".
    This will ensure the wagetype is excluded from going into /710 for all the tax authorities.
