Possibly. Media Go supports a variety of music formats, some of which can be imported in to iTunes and then synced on to an iPhone, however some of its formats cannot be imported in to iTunes.
See http://mediago.sony.com/enu/supported-file-formats/ for a list of formats supported by Media Go. iTunes for Windows supports MP3, AAC, WAV, and can import and convert WMA files as well. However iTunes does not support ATRAC, or FLAC.
Furthermore, if some of your music has been bought from an Internet music store it might be procted by DRM. If so it cannot be imported in to iTunes.
To do the importing you would either drag the music files in to iTunes, or tell iTunes to open them. See http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1347

  • How can I transfer music and iTunes from my mac to my iPhone?

I have a macbook air and need to transfer some of my music and itunes from my mac to my newly updates iphone4. Previously I used to drag what I wanted from my itunes to my phone but now it doesn't work. Any ideas?

First step, of course, is to plug your iPhone into your Macbooks Air. Then, you need to set up syncing how you want it in iTunes (on the MBA). If you want to be able to drag and drop music, select "manually manage music" on the Summary pane in iTunes.

  • Can one transfer music to itunes from ipod on new computer

How does one transfer music from ipod to itunes on new computer?

Connect your iPod to your new computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer
The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iGadget Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    SharePod Windows Only
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • HT1535 How do I put music into iTunes that is on my iPod touch? I have music on my iPod touch that is not in my iTunes library.  I do NOT want to loose these songs when I sync to iTunes.

Recently I had to replace my computer with a new one. The old hard drive died and there was no way of retrieving any of my data from the dead computer. When I downloaded iTunes onto my new computer there were several songs missing in my iTunes library. I was able to retrieve most through purchased music, however there was some music that I had downloaded from other sources and that music is still on my iPod touch. How do I put music into my iTunes library that is on my iPod touch but not in the iTunes library? I do not want to loose the music on my iPod when I sync to iTunes library.

As for the content purchased from BN.com that shows up in the nook app... check with Barnes and Noble to see if it's possible for that content to show up on your computer.

  • My I pod is about 15 yrs old how can I put music on it from a file, My I pod is about 15 yrs old how can I put music on it from a file

Is there any way I can down load music from a file to my 15 yr old I pod

    Hello DeeHendrixson,
It sounds like you would like to sync some music to your iPod Nano. You can use iTunes to sync your media over to it. The following article will help:
iOS: Syncing your data with iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1386
    Sync using USB
    Open iTunes.
Connect the iOS device to your computer using the included USB cable.
Click the Device button in the upper right corner. (If viewing the iTunes Store, click the Library button first.) If you don't see your device, you may need to hide the sidebar. Choose View > Hide Sidebar.
Some tabs may not appear if you don't have the corresponding content in your library. For example, if you don't have any podcasts in your library, the Podcast tab won't appear.
Click Apply, in the lower-right corner of the screen, to sync.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

Can I add to my iTunes library from my iPod? How? If I sync my iPod what happens to the music that is on my iPod but not in my iTunes library? If the music dissappears then how can I ever put more music on the iPod without losing songs on it that are not in my iTunes?

  • How do I move music to iTunes from an old computer to a new one?

how do i import all my music from my old computer to my new one? I just loaded iTunes but can't get it to recognize all the music in my folder. It wants me to load songs one at a time and I am NOT going to do that with 44 GB of music.

These are two possible approaches that should work to move an existing library to a new computer.
    Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
    Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase are reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where your computer has died with no backup then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • Can't import music into itunes from a cd

I keep getting an error that the disc is full and i should delete files to make more room. It also recommends that I empty my trash. How can I expand the size of the file so I can import more music. thanks dan

    =Troubleshooting CD ripping issues=
The easiest thing to check is if it is just this CD.  Try another one.  If others work, then it is likely the CD.
Try an alternative ripper such as XLD or Max.  Even though you may not want that as the long-term solution it will at least indicate whether the problem is with iTunes or something else.
If other CDs and rippers do not work, it could be the drive itself, or the part of the computer running the hardware. For the latter some have found a SMC reset to work.

Apple Portables: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1411
If you think it is the drive, you can try a cleaning disc (about $10 from a computer store or media store) to get rid of dust.  I haven't had much success with these, though usually I am running some older machine on which I can expect a drive to die after 5 years of use.

  • Can't load music into iTunes from CD

    Gah!!!
How frustrating ! I'm using the latest version of ITunes, WindowsXP.
When I pop in a CD, a window comes up in ITunes asking me if I want to import the music, I select "yes", it shows them in a ITunes window, but the songs aren't imported, really.
I try to use the "Add File to Library" trick just to add a song from the CD, and that doesn't work either.
Why do they make this feature so tough? or am I just having a ITunes software issue?
Sorry for my tone, but this is torking me off a bit.
    Thanks for any suggestions !
    John
Windows XP   Latest version of ITunes

    Hi, John.
... but the songs aren't imported, really.
You may have to explain a bit more clearly just what happens when iTunes is "importing" the music.
For the time being though, can you confirm that Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library is checked in the iTunes Edit menu > Preferences > Advanced tab > General sub-tab.

  • HT4363 How do you put music and movies from iPad to iPhone?

How do I put all of my movies and music from my iPad 2 to my iPhone 4s?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You may well be simply able to redownload them depending on your location, otherwise you will have to transfer them to iTunes on a computer and then to the phone from iTunes.

  • How do you play music in itunes from an external drive?

if the library and itunes folder are on the external drive, how do you play the songs from there through a laptop? I have gotten that dreaded "original file not found" message over and over again. Thanks.

Hold down the Shift key while launching iTunes. You'll be given a dialog box where you can select the iTunes library you want to use. Navigate to and select the iTunes folder in it's new location.

  • I create a playlist with songs that I purchased from itunes and when I try to sync it to my iphone some of the songs are missing but when I go to the playlist in itunes the song is there.  What could be happening?  What am I doing wrong?

I've created playlists with songs I've purchased from iTunes and also added songs I've purchased from iTunes to existing playlists.  Everytime I go to sync the playlist to my iPhone I find some of the new songs missing from the playlist.  I've deleted the playlist from the phone and reinstalled it.  I don't know what I"m doing wrong. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

Wondering if you haven't been bitten by the new "feature" of iOS 5, as was my son. turingtest2 explained it very well in reply to my own query about "missing" songs in playlists.

  • How do I transfer music in iTunes from one computer to another computer?

I have an iTunes Library full of music in a laptop with Windows and I want to transfer it to my desktop computer, a Dell with Windows. I've heard you can import songs from your iPod that you got from one computer to another, I'd also like to know how to do that, because I think that might be the only way.

You can use your iPod as a hard drive and move the ITunes folder:

There is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs but not playlists back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes

  • Can't put music into itunes????

I have spent the last few days inputting my old CD's into itunes. I pressed the import CD button at lower right and then they went into the 'music' folder.
Now, when I click 'import CD' it seems to be inputting the music but when I click on the music folder afterwards I cannot find the music. At one stage I got an error message 1009 but I don't know what this is.
    Can anyone offer some suggestions?

Not necessrily, you just need to find a 3rd party program to transfer content that is ripped or purchased outside of iTunes.
    Example
