How can i reformat my iphone? its appears that i need to connect it to itunes but my laptop can't even recognize my iphone.
hello guys, i badly need your help. last night i was trying to udate for a new software on ios but i failed to finish updating then after a few minutes i tried updating it again but it did'nt turned out well. what appears on my iphone is that I should connect it to itunes but unfortunately when i connected it, my laptop could not recognize my phone. Could anyone help me with this? pleaseee when i went to an apple store, they told me to reformat it (so does it mean all my files will be deleted), and how to reformat this? help me pleaseeee.
Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

I took it to a ohone shop today and they're going to try and fix the phone without altering the memory, but apparently that's quite hard to do with IPhones
That will void any support from Apple. If you take the device to an Apple store you would be able to get an out of warranty replacement. A third party shop may make things worse and end up costing you more. Apple does not sell parts so all the third party shop will be able to use are parts from damaged or stolen devices. If the third party shop cannot fix the device you will have to pay full price for a replacement phone rather than the discounted price from Apple. -

i just upgraded my iphone 3gs to ios 6 not sure if it updated but now when i turn on my phone it says automatically that i need to connect it to itunes using the USB port but when i connect it it comes up as new hardware and cannot find a program/software for my device even though i have the latest itunes on my computer. i have tried reinstalling itunes but it still cannot find my phone and now i cannot use my phone as it is stuck on the sync to itunes screen

My Iphone4S was in the middle of updating its latest software then suddenly it switched off, it hasnt turned on since and I've tried to reset it but only the apple sign appears then the plug into ittnes symbol. I've tried to plug it into itunes but it says my phone is on repair mode which is why it needs to be restored first in order to connect to itunes. I have also then tried to restore it but the error sign appears.

You need a French store account to use a card from France. The cards are country-specific and cannot be used in another country.
If you qualify for an account, that is, have a credit card issued in that country and a physical mailing address there, you can switch to the French store from Settings > iTunes and App Stores > Apple ID > View Apple ID > enter your password > Country/Region to change stores.

The code is the same code you use when you turn on your phone. If you don't remember it, you'll have to try and restore from the computer to which you last synched.
