How come I can't up date my iWeb 1.1.2 to 2.0.3?
so I downloaded the 2.0.3 update from apple downloads page, and i opened the installer. but it said "An eligible iWeb application was not found in the location /Applications." even though iweb was in my applications folder. how can i solve this?
The update will only update earlier versions of iWeb v2. The move from v1 to v2 is an upgrade, and has to be paid for.
However, Apple no longer sell any version of iWeb.
You may be able to get an iLife box set from independent retailers or eBay, but if you are really using 10.4.11 as your signature says you should be careful about compatibility. The latest version of iWeb (which hasn't been updated for some years) is v3, contained in the iLife '09 and iLife '11 boxes, and this requires 10.5.6 minimum. I can't find any information on the minimum requirement for v2, and I suspect you will find it extremely difficult to purchase it anywhere.

Your iPod touch or iPhone 3GS or later wirelessly sends workout data to nikeplus.com from wherever you are on the road. So right after your run, you can track your progress and analyze your performance. If you walk or run with iPod nano, workout data is sent to nikeplus.com when you connect it to your Mac or PC.

Try a reset. Reset the iPhone by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.

How come I can't add a song to my playlists in itunes match? Is it me or itunes match? It keeps on coming up with a message " iCloud playlists can only contain songs from your iCloud music library. If you continue, the playlist will be removed from iCloud and will only be available on this computer"?
You must surely be able to add and subtract songs on specific playlist?I fixed this issue (with help from tech support) and it involved several things.
After adding a song to iTunes, right-click on the song in iTunes and select "Update iTunes Match."
OR go to the iTunes menu-->Store-->Update iTunes Match.
Maybe that's the reason, it just hadn't updated to the cloud.
OR maybe it's not a high-enough bitrate file. This happens to me because most of my tunes are home-recorded.
Sometimes converting to .mp3 or Create AAC version might work. (You do this with a right-click in iTunes, and then you will want to remove the original file from iTunes.)
There is an iTunes Preferences setting, under General Preferences called Import Settings. Try setting it to AAC Encoder and iTunes Plus. That (I think) causes imports to be slightly better quality.

How come I can't update my iPad 1 to the new iOS 6 it says my iOS version 5.1.1 is the latest version?
The iPad 1, coming up on three years since it was introduced, has been given two major and a number of minor upgrades to iOS, more than many tablet manufactures provide. The iPad 1's hardware just can't effectively support many of the features in iOS 6. So I don't think that it's particularly unfair for Apple to no longer provide updates. And yes, I do own and manage a number of iPad 1s.

How come I can't use the back gesture with my magic mouse on certain applications in Lion? I figured out that in Safari i have to use a 1 finger swipe to go back a page instead of 2 fingers like i used to do in Snow Leopard. But apps like iTunes and iPhoto and i can't do that. Any ideas? is there a setting im missing to make this work? It works in Safari but not any other applications, so im assuming theres no setting for this. Just want to know if this is just a bug that will be fixed in the next update or if its something I can fix now. Any help would be appreciated because its kind of annoying. Other than this minor issue I love Lion. Full screen apps are unbelievable.

Because you can only synce with one iTunes library and you are switching libries by using the new computer. To nake this yyour syncing computer:
- Move all the media(apps, music, synced video and photos etc) to the new computer.
- Connect the iPofd yo the computer and bake a backup fo the iPod by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup.
Note that the backup that iTunes makes doe not include media.

Help! I just got this Lion, and SO many changes & not necessarily for the better !
I went to the Apple icon, but "Software Updates" did not show ... though I had deferred installing some updates ...
Finally it showed up, I clicked on it, saw the updates to do - BUT when I clicked on install - the "box" that usually shows the updates & how long to install - just disappeared! I can't get to it to see what's next. (I have to leave soon & will turn off the mac)
What's happening? How come I can't see the updates as they are installed, & how much time it will take?
How do I know IF they have been installed? Is this the "new Normal" for Lion? Or is there a glitch in my mac somewhere?
How about updates you download from Apple (not bought) - they go to Downloads on the Sideboard, but are they installed automatically, & put where they belong too? Is there no more restart, etc.?
- I just went to Systems Preference, to see the "Installed Software" - shows they were ... but don't I have to restart anymore? Are all updates now automatically placed where they belong?

Please if anyone can help apple doesn't seem to care?If you need to reinstall Mac OS X 10.8.x (there is no 10.8.6 yet, by the way), restart your Mac, hold down the Option key so you see all the bootable partitons, and boot to the Recovery Partition. From there you can reinstall Mountain Lion. You will need a good Internet connection.

We have read that any apps that use the google map app (removed by ios6) will not work. We have lost a great camping app for this reason, and have heard that some weather apps are not working either.
