How come my music wont copy to my ipod but is already on itunes?

i have added new music to my itunes library but when i try and move it to my ipod library it wont it just turns grey and wont add or play

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

How come my books wont sync to my ipod?

I just bought some new books for my ipod Gen 2 and they wont sync to my ipod... whats going on?

Have you double checked to make sure these Books (not Audiobooks) are configured to sync to your iPod from under the iPod's Books configuration tab in iTunes?
To access this configuration tab, plug in your iPod and select it from under theDevices section in the left hand pane of iTunes to bring yourself to the iPod's Summarytab. Now locate the Books tab and select it. Here you can configure what and how books are synced to the device.
If you make any changes to this tab, make sure to hit the Apply button on in the lower right hand corner.

How to keep music on an external hard drive, but still manage in itunes

Hello, so i just got a new pc. Have downloaded and authorized Itunes and have pointed my file media folder to the external hard drive. What I'd like to do is keep all my music on the external hard drive without saving any music onto my new pc. So is it possible to keep all my music on the external hard drive but still be able to manage the music library in itunes?

Music wont play on my ipod, but is still shown in grey(not black) text.

I got a new 4th generation ipod a few months ago and when i tried to put music onto it 95% of the songs are unplayable by my ipod, but all of my music was working on my 2nd generation ipod and in itunes. the songs that dont work are shown in grey text and the ones that do in black. all of the artists and albums are still displayed in black even if no songs in that folder work. Every now and then when i go to sync, an error message shows up and says that one of the songs couldnt be synced and then the sync ends. and ive fully updated is and even tried reseting the ipod and redownloading itunes.

open itunes, connect ipod, select what you want to sync, sync.

go to settings-> iMessage->Send and Receive ->You can be reached by iMessage at: and make sure your Gmail address is checked.
If it isn't check you need to tap on it and if it does not appear you need to tapp add another email and introduce the details of your Gmail address.

It happens when you download from two or more different Apple IDs often. It says you must waut 90 days before you can play it without wifi. So in 90 days, try to download again.

The basic answer is that Apple has not programmed the capture routine with this capability. As such, you can always send QT feedback requesting this feature be added as a future enhancement.

I confuse ease all songs from ipod when I changed the setting from maually to sync. I know that when I change this setting, all songs on ipod will arase if there are no the same songs in a itune library.

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone . The exception is itunes purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from your ipod: File>Transfer Purchases
