Go to tcode WE19. Give idoc number press F8. You will get next screen. There you have push button in tool bar called "INBOUND FUNCTION MOUDLE". Click on it. You will get one pop-up screen.
There give function module name and tick the check box called " Call in debugging mode" and select radio button called "In foreground". Then press ok. It will take you to debugging mode.
Reward if it dose.

How to debug outbound Idoc function module for invoice

I have to debug the outbound IDOC function module and UserExit for invoice message type INVOIC, process code SD09, function module is IDOC_OUTPUT_INVOIC and user exit for the function module LVEDF001.
I tried putting the break point in function module IDOC_OUTPUT_INVOIC and recreate the IDOC using WE19 but it creates the idoc but does not stop at the break point. I have also tried generation of idoc through VF02. It again creates the idoc but does not stop at the function module.
Please let me know if I am missing any thing and not doing it right.

Hi Ali,
I faced the same problem. Thing is the break point is not getting triggered when i ran tha IDOC through WE19.
What i have done is i created a project for my exit in CMOD and kept some junk code in the exit and executed it through BD21. Then the Break point got triggered. See if it works.

Can anyone suggest me how to debug the outbound idocs like in case we19 for inbound.
i am creating an idoc for ORDERS message type with process code ME10. i need to debug to know if data is populating in segments correctly.

Hi Sailesh,
You can set break point at FM <b>IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS</b> and go through the code step by step.
Also you can check customer function for any custom enhancement related to populating/deleting IDoc segment within the above FM.

How manage outbound IDoc with QRFC in SAP CRM 5.O

Hi experts,
I want to manage outbound IDoc with QRFC. For doing it I selected the flag Query Processing in transaction WE20. When I run the program QRFC Monitor (RSTRFCM1) the system shows this error message:
Status is SYSFAIL.
"[SAP.111.9129] WMSAP Adapter: Missing notification
- Message type: IDOC INBOUND"

How to trigger an Outbound IDOC with a default status 68

Hi,
How an Outbound IDOC can be created/triggered with a default status 68??
I have a requirement where the outbound IDOC should always get created with status 68. Once an Outbound IDOC is created, I should not be changing its status manually or using a program.
Basically we don't want any IDOCs created in other status and changing to 68 once an IDOC is created with a different status.
Currently i'm using fm 'IDOC_OUTPUT_DELVRY' to trigger an outbound idoc, and the idocs are triggered with different status 30, 2, 3 etc... By using a program i can change the status of the IDOC. But what we need is "Whenever an outbound idoc is triggered, it should always have status 68".
Please let me know the ways to achieve this functionality.

We need to display all the IDOC data on a Smartform layout. But we dont need the IDOC to be used for our requirement. So we want to make sure that IDOC is triggered but will not stay in 02 or other status.
We have a process to monitor the failed idocs (02 status) and we do not want our idoc to have failed status. So we need the idocs to be tirggered directly with status 31 (thanks for letting me know that i cant use status 68 for outbound idocs).

Hi,
IDocs are processed by a function module, which are mapped against in table EDIFCT. When you process an IDoc in transaction BD87 you can put a breakpoint in the function module and it will stop there.For outbound processing it depends on which program is sending the IDoc. For transactional data like purchase orders, the IDoc is created via RSNAST00 which in turn calls a function module assigned to the processing code (BD41).

Yes, i have checked but did not get any satisfactory answer.
here is the solution:
Inbound:
We19, Give the idoc #,
click on the inbound functional module and select the radio button in the fore ground
check the check box call in debug mode, this will enter in the functional module debugging.
Outbound:
Check BD73, give the idoc # and execute
or
RSNASTED program and set the breakpoint there
is this correct, i have not tested/ checked yet.

OUTBOUND IDOC DEBUGGING

I have Output type defined for the application V3
i.e meant for Billing.and the output type is custom development with name ZD00 for invoice-Bill to.
This output type is defined for edi processing.
Now the problem is when invoice is created and this
outputtype is selected the quantity field in idoc and invoice differs.just get double in idoc.but if the same output is fired again data in idoc gets corrected.now i want to debug the idoc outbound processing.what i did i run the transaction we41 and find the process code and find the function module that is running in the background for collection of data of invoice and
filling the idoc.but but but the problem is i put break point in the function module to check the value at run time but this is not triggered . iam confused tell me how to debug the outbound idoc.
Help me out i will be waiting for the response.

Hi,
You can use the Update Debugging. If you know the prognam name/function module of your source code, upon saving your document, a new screen will pop up if the Update Debugging mode is on. From this, you can then hit F8 to stop on your break-point.

I am adding one segment standard Invoic02 outbound idoc.
Executing invoice number ,idoc automaticall y trigger and populate the data.
1)problem is my new adding segment is not populated idoc level.
2)I am testind idoc (WE19) showing a 02 error.
3) How to debugg the outbound idoc.

Take a look at your outbound processing code (transaction WE41). When you double click on the entry you are using you can find the function module which is used to process the IDOC. Just set a breakpoint at the beginning of that function module and you can debug the creation of your outbound IDOC.

How do you test an outbound ASN (Delivery document Idoc type DELVRY03). I think first you create an outbound delivery using VL03n and then create an idoc out of it (how?)

You have to create delivery at VL01N Transaction,now setup output type
In second screen of Delivery -> Extras->Delivery output -> header ->give the proper output type ,Medium should be 6(EDI) or ALE (A).
click on further data -> send immediately.
when you save delivery ,it will create IDOC automatically,you can see IDOC in WE02 or WE05 Transaction.
Debugging outbound :
keep the break point in outbound Function module
Create Delivery
here when you maintain output type -> further data ->
Now click on Further data ->select peridoc scheduling-> back and save it.
Run RSNAST00 Program
Output application : V2
Object key : Delivery number
Output type : LD00
Medium = 6(EDI) ,A (ALE)
when you execute the program and it will goto debugging.

Is it possible to generate outbound idocs for FI invoices? How?

Is it possible to generate Outbound idocs for FI invoices? How? or else i have to write program to get data in file and pass it to translator. Please help.

Before letting you know the possibility, can you please let me know why you want such a requirement, since standard has not provided such copy control, to my knowledge.
As you would know order type KB is for consignment fillup where you are just transferring the goods from FG unrestricted to your own warehouse and that is why in standard you can see the copy control KB --> F8 which means you can raise proforma against delivery and not against fillup order.
So think of whether really you wanted to raise proforma against fillup order which is NOT recommended by SAP. However, still if you feel that the requirement is so to have, you can make the settings in VTFA.

How to generate Outbound idoc for Material Reservation

Hi Experts,
I want to send outbound IDoc when a material reservation is created with tcode MB21.
I have been working on this issue and finding the solution in SCN for a week...
I found some messages similar to this but I could not find out the correct way how to do that.
At this moment, I configured BD64/WE20 referring the following topic which seems to be feasible solution but could not find any outbound IDocs created, unfortunately.
Implement ALE_RESERVATION_CREATE
I appreciate if someone can help me how to create outbound IDoc with MB21 or advice some possibility of missing configuration or steps.

I am in the same situation and I do not see the IDoc output in the BD87.

How outbound IDoc with Z segment is creating without using a program/FM?

I am having an outbound IDoc with Z message type and segments.
I need to find how this IDoc/ IDoc segment is getting created. I tried to find
it using the segment’s where used list (in SE11- IDoc segment structure). But it
is showing that the structure and fields are not used anywhere.
How it is possible to create a Z segment in IDoc without
using the corresponding structure in some program or function module?
I have searched in google/scn for a solution, but didn’t find
anything.
Any one please helps me to find how this IDoc segment is
populating?

This IDoc is catering as part of a flow (Tcode IW21). I have
set a break point in the function module ALE_IDOCS_CREATE and processed the transaction
IW21, but the program didn’t stop in the break point, but the IDoc got created.

Shanaya,
You will have to take help of functional guys so that they can configure mentioned output type in NACE.
Apart from that you might have to do some coding as well with condition like
IF nast-kschl EQ 'ZCON' AND nast-nacha EQ '6'.
Please check NAST table for more details and let us know if you still need some help.
