How deploy MDB example to SAP J2EE 6.20

Hi,
I need to deploy a message driven bean to SAPJ2ee6.20, , and for that first i tried to deploy MDB example(.ear file) from SAPj2ee Installation.
But at deployment phase, it generate exception.
How can i do this with succes?

please, do not post the same question three times into different categories - beneath, all three categories have been wrong, this is a deployment question not concerning EP or Java directly nor 6.40 preview, so you should have posted it to "WAS general".
No, please do not post it a fourth time... People will read it, and if there shouldn't be an answer...
It is frustrating for people who want to help to read "it generates an exception" - yeah, which one?!

Hi,
In windows,
go to SAP management console,Right click on the SID and then start all tasks
similarly to stop,Right click,
stop all tasks
If it is linux machine,
switch to SIDadm user,by giving the command su sidadm
ex:if SID is J2E,then it will be j2eadm.and then it is startsap or stopsap.
For troubleshooting,
1.go to /usr/sap/SID/JCxx/j2ee/cluster/server0/log
look for defaulttrace.trc file.
you can get to know the errors here and find teh root cause of it.
2.you can also look for devp_trace in SAPmanagement console.
3.Before doing all this,first check if JAVA_HOME,path and LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set properly and proper JDK is taken.
4.check id DB is up and running.

How to configure Engine/SDM for SAP J2EE Server

Hi Experts,
I deployed the EAR file on J2EE Server.
This EAR file is linked to WebModuleProject (xyz)whic has a WAR file.
This WAR file contains one JSP. (test_jsp.jsp)
Then on following the URL

i m getting the following error message:

I configured the SDM/Engine successfully
but still following the url

i m getting the following error

Details: File [WebModuleProject/test_jsp.jsp] not found in application root of alias [/] of J2EE application [sap.com/com.sap.engine.docs.examples].
Please experts help me to dig out this problem

Time out error on deploying to SAP-J2EE engine.

I got a problem while deploying to SAP-J2EE engine using ant. It takes a lot of time and then throws a time out error.
The problem is with the web.xml file pointing to a DTD in the internet, I have pasted some part of the web.xml below,

The problem seems to be with my system, because I had run the same ant script in another system and it deployed successfully.
The problem does not seem to be with the dtd, whereas it seems that the SAP-J2EE engine is not able to open the link to the dtd giving a time out error.
Is it possible to switch off the validation process of the SAP-J2EE engine of an xml with the dtd?

Login into the Configtool(C:\usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS<inst no>\j2ee\configtool) if ABAP+JAVA stack or C:\usr\sap\SID\JC<inst no>\j2ee\configtool) if JAVA stack
click on the instance and and select the addserver button on the top to create a servernode for J2EE server.

NWDS Webdynpro deploy: Cannot login to the SAP J2EE Engine using ......

I am getting the following error while deploying a web dynpro application through NWDS.
Aborted: development component 'WebDynpro_ErrorBehavior'/'local'/'LOKAL'/'0.2007.05.29.17.02.04'/'1':Cannot login to the SAP J2EE Engine using user and password as provided in the Filesystem Secure Store. Enter valid login information in the Filesystem Secure Store using the SAP J2EE Engine Config Tool. For more information, see SAP note 701654.com.sap.sdm.serverext.servertype.inqmy.extern.DeployManagerAuthExceptionWrapper: Wrong security credentials detected while trying to obtain connection to the J2EE Engine. I get this error after I supply the SDM password which NWDS asks before deploying.

In the additonal error log it says-
Unable to compare host[px1db] and host[x900704] Throwable: java.net.UnknownHostException Throwable message: x900704: x900704
where px1db is my portal server and x900704 is my localmachine name.
I dont know why it says so ...In NWDS i have configured only px1db.
any thoughts.

here my answers to your questions:
1) You don't need to install flex under EP, you need only adobe flash player 9 on EP
2) If you want to develop a SAP Ep cont using Flex, you need adobe flex builder 2 or 3 (ide based).
3)You can store under any EP folder (es. KM) the .swf object and html page of FLEX application, create an iView and call the url link
or load the .swf as mime object in BSP on backend syst, include in a bsp page and create iView for bsp..

I had used evaluation copy of the SAP J2EE engine. This copy works for few days and now the SAP J2EE engine is stopped. After its expiration, we purchased the permanent license.
My question is: how to install license for the expired SAP J2EE engine so that the engine can be started without re-installation?

To install license of the J2EE Engine :
In the Visual Administrator -> Server 0 -> Services -> Licensing Adapter. Then choose tab page Runtime -> Installed Licenses and Install subsequent temporary license.

Except for the application error pages you should also keep in mind that some error pages are generated by SAP Webdispatcher - presuming you are using one in front of your J2EE-Engine

How to deploy my web module to J2EE server?

hi, i used forte CE to create my web module and its working perfectly when i run it through forte CE.
I've created a .war file for my web module through forte CE via the command Export WAR.
I've set up my J2EE server and its running cause i can go to its index page.
Now the problem, through the deployment tool that come with J2EE, I created a new application and add my .war into it. Next I tried to deploy my application .ear file. The deployment is successful.
But when I tried to access my application through the browser, I got this error messages:
A Servlet Exception Has Occurred
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSPNote: sun.tools.javac.Main has been deprecated.
An error occurred at line: 2 in the jsp file: /searchQRStatus.jsp
Generated servlet error:
e:\j2sdkee1.3\repository\psa\web\qrstatus\_0002fsearchQRStatus_jsp.java:65: Class org.apache.jsp.ConnectionBean not found.
ConnectionBean connection = null;
I got repeated similiar error msgs for all my javabeans, ConnectionBean is one of them.
It seems that the server cannot find my javabean .java/.class files.
I only use jsp/javabeans/html/ms access database with ODBC connection.
1) How to solve my problems?
2) Do I need to set up a new ODBC 32bit System DSN for my database again, since the location for the database is different after deployment?

perhaps your J2EE server only has access to JRE and not JDK? ... you'll need the JDK to run JSP pages because they are compiled on-the-fly into servlets. just a thought.

How to find out SAP J2EE Patch Level for 04s

Hi all
I want to find out SAP J2EE Patch Level for 2004s installation i tried to get information from SYSTEM INFORMATION link on WAS homepage but it gave only version :7.00 details and PATCH LEVEL was not mentioned .
I also tried to find out by looking into VERSION.TXT file for server & dispatcher in ....USR\SAP\J2E.....engine installation but again no details about PatchLevel was mentioned can anyone provide some information regarding what is the PatchLevel for WAS 7.0 , J2SE used is 1.4.2_09
