How do I backup/restore all my voicemails? Not all of them were restored from the iCloud to my new iOS.

I have a new iPhone 6. I went through the steps of transferring data from my prior iPhone 4s using iCloud, but none of the voicemails from 2012 were restored. Everything else was transferred completely. Any ideas why, and what I can do to get the remaining voicemails transferred over? They are still sitting in my old phone. Thanks!

Each track should have a download icon. If no icon is shown, this suggest that your library is still pointing to the original track. If you try to play a track do you see " ! " against the track. If so, you have two options:
1. Select track and right click then delete - do not tick delete from cloud. Download icon now shown.
2. Create new library, point to location you wish to download then turn on match. You will see all music you have in match.
By the way, it would be easier and quicker to restore your music from your back up.

I experienced the same problem with the iCloud restore not working properly. I had my iPhone 4 replaced as the home button was defective. When attempting to restore an 9.5GB iCloud backup from the day before it just would not work properly. Firstly, half my apps did not restore, they would begin to download showing the progress indicator then just disappear, leaving my home screen naked. No big deal as apps can be downloaded again.
However, what was a big deal for me was the 1,625 photos on my camera roll, including many of the first year of my kid's life. The camera roll would say downloading x of 1,625 photos, download a few of them, then simply stop downloading any new shots. When I would restart the phone it did not show any downloading message, it believed the restore was complete. I tried about ten different restore scenarios, listed below, all of which gave me varying results (some resulting in all my apps restoring) but all of which would only give me some of my photos back.
What was a comfort was that I once got about 700 of the shots back. So the photos were still in the cloud rather than gone and this indicated that it was the restore process or the iCloud backup on my phone that was the problem. These are the things I tried in sequence as I despairingly tried to get my photos back...
Things I tried that DID NOT work
1) Erase all settings and attempt to restore again from scratch (four times)
2) Tried the restore from a different WiFi network (once)
3) Tried the restore from one WiFi network then switched to another once the restore 'hung' (once)
4) Tried the restore from an Apple store WiFi network (once)
5) Tried the restore from a previous iCloud backup (twice)
6) Had Apple replace the iPhone 4 (once)
With all of these I got a varying amount of my photos and apps back before it stopped restoring. I was also making the mistake (I learnt afterwards) of opening and moving between apps during the download to check progress.
Thing I tried that DID work
1) Did not plug the phone into my MacBook, I used the wall charger only to prevent any iTunes sync activity
2) Erase all settings and data, restore from the iCloud backup and input passwords in all the pop up windows once it reboots.
2) Open photos app gallery to see photos downloading and show the progress message "downloading xx of x,xxx"
3) Left it on this photo screen and did not touch the phone at all for the entire restore. I did not close the photo galley/camera roll app once, open any other apps.
Finally this time round it work and all my photos and apps restored in full. I am going to go back to syncing with iTunes as I don't trust iCloud for restores. It seems that iCloud does not handle photo restores that well, especially if the gallery is large. In short: Wall charger only, restore from iCloud, open Photos app, don't touch. Really hope this works for you too if you've had the same issue.

HT4623 My new iPad mini won't install the update 7.0.6 until it has finished restoring from the iCloud backup. What do I do to make the restoration complete? I have been using the mini for about a month.

I have downloaded iOS 7.0.6 but it will not install until the ipad is finished restoring from the Icloud backup. I've been using the mini for about a month, so why is it not completely restored? How do I make the restore process finish?

When and where was the iPad/charger purchased? It's covered by a 1-year warranty.
The problem may be the USB cable.

I am not seeing how to RESTORE from iCloud back to my MacBook Pro... how do I do this? My Harddrive died a few weeks ago and I want to recover whatever I have in the cloud.

It sounds like you are wanting to restore from your iCloud backup to your MacBook Pro.
iCloud backups are for iOS devices, and does not backup Mac computers.

What is an exchange? I am trying to add a second iPad to my account by restoring/synching from the icloud. It asks for my exchange password but we do not know what that is.

If you are referring to the service listed in the Mail, Calendars and Contacts area, that refers to Microsoft Exchange, a server system they sell for email, calendaring and address book. If you have such a service, your company will tell you.
Exchange has nothing to do with iCloud, though, so you should not be attempting to set up an Exchange account in your iPad to get synchronization with iCloud. Here's how you set up iCloud on your iPad:

It depends on how she saved them on iCloud. Check your contacts on icloud.com from your computer. If they are there, all you need to do is go to Settings>iCloud, sign in with your iCloud ID, then turn Contacts to On.
If your contacts aren't on icloud.com, she may have simply backed up your phone to iCloud. If that's the case, you would have to restore the backup to your new phone by going to Settings>General>Reset, tapping Erase All Content and Settings (which will erase the phone), then go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud backup.

Why did my itunes not restore from the iCloud?

I have a new iPad Air and it was not recognized on my PC running Windows 8. I followed the resolve given in one of the posts in the iTunes Apple support community. My PC did recognize it but when I went to use iTunes it did an update which forced me to restore the iPad Air. I was not given the option of retoring it from the iCloud. That left the iPad Air empty since it did not use the extensive iCloud backup that I had. Now I have none of my items from the iTunes store or anywhere else and they were all there prior to the update. My iCloud was up to date and was my source of backup and was how I configured the new Mini and AIr recently. Now there is nothing. I am not amused at all. Now what?

To restore your iCloud backup, go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, then go through the setup screens on your phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts. Be sure you phone is connect to wifi and your charger while it is restoring the backup.

While working in iMovie, computer shut down and all imported clips from that project disappeared. The project still existed, with titles, but all video clips were gone from the movie as well as the computer library.

Clips were imported from SD card into iMovie project. While working on the project, computer shut down. When restarted, all clips from that event were no longer in the project, or in the computer library. Project existed, with titles, but blank spaces exist where clips had been.

OH MY GOD! This EXACT thing just happened to me! It didn't save my event and didn't show the date in the iMovie library but if I look under all projects, the project is there. Except that there are little blank place holders where all my clips were. Also the title of the project has a little yellow "!" symbol next to it which I can only assume means that the file is corrupted.
I can't believe it destroyed like 8 hours of work!

Restore from iCloud Backup

18. Message: Purchased apps and media will now be automatically downloaded
19. You'll see a pageful of apps with Waiting/Loading/Installing
20. When the restore process is complete, your device will restart. You should connect the device to iTunes to sync data not contained in the backup (such as music, videos, apps, and so on).

How can I get back all of my family videos from the iTunes monster?

So here's the thing.
Over the past few years I have accumulated a whole heap of home videos as well as movies, TV episodes etc. etc. which has grown and grown to the point where there was no more space on my 60GB hard drive.
So I go out and buy an 80GB video iPod so that I can store the videos on that.
I go through the extremely lengthy (3 days) and frustrating process of converting all my files to mp4 using Videora converter and load them onto iTunes and then onto my new iPod. I then click 'Manually manage songs' in my iPod options so that I could delete the videos from my computer, and have them still on my iPod. This was about a week ago and since then everything has been fine.
When updating my iPod this morning, I manually ejected the ipod once my new music was added, only to find that the ipod now contained NO VIDEOS! As it turns out, the iPod automaticaaly reverted to 'automatcally manage files' without my prompt.
So now whilst I have the files on iTunes, they cannot be found as they have been deleted and they are no longer on my iPod. Is there ANY way that I can get them back? Anything at all? System restore or something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you mean restore an backup from an earlier iphone then it ask you or you can manually choose restore
if you mean apps located in your itunes library then you check the apps you want on the iphoen in the apps tab when you have it connected to computers itunes

I've just moved on from an iphone 5 to an iphone 6.
I'm now on my second attempt at restoring it through the icloud.
My photos and videos are unavailable and it keeps saying I'm low on storage. At this stage it just keeps saying it's updating but it's been saying that for 8 hours and I still don;t have any photos available....any advice appreciated. It's getting a little frustating

The backup cannot be restored to the iPhone if there is not enough storage space available.

You don't need iTunes Match to have your music in all your devices. iTunes Match is for getting music that you've purchased elsewhere into the cloud. All you need to do is set up each of your devices to your iTunes Store account. You can then download things you've purchased by going to the Purchased section. See:

I'm so confused and helpless! My iTunes on my new laptop won't sync my music, apps etc. that are saved on the iCloud onto my iPhone 4; the phone only has the music I purchased on the actual device on it? I have fiddled about with the settings in both iTunes and the phone, but it's not working...

Are you using iTunes Match or are you trying to sync your music to your phone using iTunes?

HT201269 I upgraded from iPhone 4S to iPhone 5S, but not all of my apps were synced from the iCloud, they keep saying - "waiting".

I had an iPhone 4S and kept everthing on it in the iCloud. When I went to sync my new iPhone 5S, about 10 of my apps didn't sync with the new phone. Now these apps say "waiting". I have tried to sync again, several times, but they still say "waiting". What is going on?

Can someone at Apple explain why when resetting iOS devices the documents from iWork simply disappear from the iCloud backup? After resetting my iPad, icloud deleted my documents!

I did backup my documents in icloud, I checked in www.icloud.com and they were there, and I was thinking that I was safe to reset my iPad now and restore from the icloud backup, but when I'm setting up my iPad again......... BOOM! where are the Pages documents? They are not in my iPad (since I just wiped the iPad) and not anymore on icloud.

Have you guys resolved this issue? I started having the same problem after updating to iOS 7. Keynote and Pages does not save to iCloud. The little arrow on the upper right hand corner never goes away. I create a document on iPad and it doesn't show up on my iPhone or vice versa. Please help!
