    You will need to proceed through each step, one at a time. Sign on to the Skype website as requested. Choose the subject and topic which most closely matches the item you need assistance with. Then, continue past Step 2 of the instruction where several articles from the FAQ library will appear for you to review, and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request (the blue "button" appears at the lower right corner of the website page).     I have been trying to contact Skype for many weeks. On every occassion I simply get the awful "Oops, something went wrong" message. "Our server seems to be down." Well, it certainly is, and appears to have been so for a couple of months. I now have a new problem. If I try to open Skype a message tels me that a new app is available, and to download now. Since there is absolutely no way to connect to Skype, I cannot download this new wonder, and the message blocks any way of using Skype. SO. I can no longer use skype at all, even though I have a payed up subscription. I have wasted so many hours on this. PLEASE can somebody help me. It is probably considerably easier to contact the aliens on Vogon. In fact, they could probably run a better service.I wait in hope.  Brian. x

  • Suggestions on how to handle "Hacked Skype Account...

    I. User Can Still Access Account
    Run a full anti-virus scan (and other security scans available in your computer).  This may help to detect and remove any elements that the hacker may have used in gaining access to your account.
    2.  Immediately Change Your Password, preferably with something that is difficult to guess, and not related or totally different from the passwords you previously used. 
    3.  If the hacker also changed your registered email address, changed it back to your own email address.  Here is the link on how to change your registered email address;

    4.  Contact Skype to report the incident.  They may be able to provide you with further explanation, clarification and helpful advice.  Use the Subject Security & Privacy >> Identity theft / Account takeover.

    Skype is useless for this.
    They will claim that you the user are responsible, and that they don't need to do anyhing.
    So....
    Do not allow Skype to autorefill your account when it runs low on balance, and do not store a creditcard, or other payment info with them.
    Each user is liable for whatever the hackers can steal.
    As this is from recent personal experience, I recommend you to never keep payment information on file with Skype.

    Be careful, when you connect the iPhone to your mac, unless you have saved the photos. Synced photos may easily  be accidentally deleted by syncing again. And do not enable iCloud Photo  Library (Beta), that will erase synced photos as well.  Synced Photos are not included in the device backups.
    Set your iTunes Preferences to "Devices > Prevent iPos, iPhones, iPads from syncing automatically".  Otherwise iTunes may launch and sync your iPhone with an empty iPhoto library the moment you connect it.
    Unfortunately, it is not possible to sync the synced photos back. Apple recommends to mail them back, but that would be a lot of clicking (iTunes: Syncing photos - Apple Support). You could also share them to a Shared Album, but a third party app like TD recommended, will be better.

    Before you link me to the official page showing me how to, I tried that and the only options that were there was to talk to a live support person or to go to skype community. There was nowhere were I could send an email.
    So all I'm asking for is the E-mail itself or another way, because I don't want to chat with a live person for various reasons. Hopefully I don't get any automated responses linking me to the page.

    Skype does not use a single, central, or general e-mail address for its customer support functions.  All service requests are handled via a web form system, a customer support model which has been adopted by many websites. 
    Many Skype account, payment and billing, and technical support service requests are  administered (diagnosed and resolved) by Skype Customer Service agents via live chat instant message, another facility common to many websites.  If your enquiry matches or is similar to the parameters of the support options available as you progress through the various steps in the process, you will be directed to start an instant message chat session with an agent.
    If you insist upon sending your service request to Skype via the web form, which is the same as sending an e-mail to Skype in that you will receive a reply via your account's registered e-mail address, the only way to do so would be to outwit the system - which is what Community Ambassador Techfreak is advising:
    If you don't get the email support option, choose other options in the support form, even if unrelated [to the matter you seek to resolve via e-mail], to produce the option [to Send a message to Skype rather than to start an instant messat chat with an agent].
    Hopefully, the text I inserted in orange clarifies Techfreak's suggestion.

    I had subscribed for the 3 month 10.00USD 120 minutes package and then had to cancell the package as I was not able to use it properly as skype is banned here and is heaveily blocked.
    Now eventhough I had cancelled my auto renew setting , I have been charged  USD 10.17 on the 29/05/2013 ref order no [removed for privacy]. 
    And today while navagating through and checking on my payment settings , I have again made a purchase of USD 10.00.
    As you can check the 120 minutes on my credit cannot be used by me , for calling skype to phones.
    and the additinal 10.00 USD is again purchased by mistake.
    Kindly refund the 10.00 +10.17 USD  charged to my account.
    Your site regarding contacting skype is very confusing , Kindly make navagating to the points for cancellig subscriptions , or contacting skype for any probles such as mine , a bit more easy and eaisly visible.
    I hope this post will reach the concerned person and my payments will be refunded.

    I am facing 2 issues now, and I will post them separately. Thank you in advance.
    First of all, it is very hard to contact Skype (as shownn by another latest post)
    1. the link of Support request page on the following page does not work

    Does Skype really have customer support service?
    I accept Skype not offering any customer support service if all the services are free. However, a lot of customers are paying Skype for pre-paid, monthly and unlimtied subscriptions (for example, me), I believe we are derserved to contact Skype for help when needed.

    I lost my password, and when I went to the "forgotten password" section I get a message telling me that a mail will be sent to the email address that was used to create the account.  Now, that email address was a previous work address, so I dont have access to it.  i can open from face book ID I can change my password .is there any other way of reseting my password?
