I read data from the serial port 5 times in a second (while loop) and the number of bytes read varies every time.
The data comes in as ASCII string, and I can see the HEX representation if I connect a HEX string indicator, but I need to permanently convert data to a HEX number.

Why teststand can not display the ASCII character which number up to 128?

Hello All,
        I have encountered a problem on an application for ASCII character,why teststand can not display the ASCII character which number up to 128?
       For example:an expression Local.xx=Chr(164),
       xx-->string,I can not get the correct string.
       Have any idea for this?
OS:WinXP,Teststand2012 SP1.

Ah, that explains why i see "European Set"....
One question, Doug: Obviously, you can select only the localization there. Is this PostScript Characters for all languages? Or is it possible to switch to something like true types, e.g. "Wingdings"? (I know, bad example, but i hope you get the point)

How do I convert an ASCII character to an array of co-ordinates.

I need to convert and ASCII character to an array of X, Y co-ordinates. I also need to be-able to vary the size of the text (scale of graph i suppose) and position on the graph So i can desplay multiple characters on a graph. However it needs to be stored in an array (or set of arrays) so i can isue these co-ordinates to an instrument.

Maybe the attached VI can help. Using picture control functions, it get the
1bit bitmap of the character/text
on input in a 2D array of booleans.

Im runining windows 7 trying to upgrade to itunes11.02 but get error message that the file is not on a network - im not prepared to reload 5000 cd tracks would expect better service from apple can you help

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

I have a Lenovo T60p laptop. How do I emulate a full 102 key keyboard when it comes to composing sequences like ATL-64 to generate the "@" ascii character. I read through the documentation and did not find it.

After activating NumLock the red marked area is the num keypad and the chars and digits in the lower right corner of the key's surface is activated.
So the key "M" is a "0" now.
The leading zero while typing in the ASCII-code of the "@" is needed by windows - so you must ask Microsoft but not me

You said, "the 4 also has signal and wifi whereas the 5 has only wifi". By "signal", I'm assuing that you mean cellular signal. If so, that means your iPhone 4 is still active on your cellular number and your iPhone 5 is not. Contact your carrier to sort out which phone is active on your account.

You might want to download something called an undelete utility. These can find files and recover them even after they appear to have been lost. There are some undelete utility programs that are free. Look at tucows.com
Also, it appears that you have POSSIBLY overwritten the actual files, which you moved manually, with I don't know what, which you moved in PSE's folder location view.
Next, in the future ... NEVER (that's: don't even think about it) move your photos in Windows. NEVER. NEVER. Not ever. Not once. This always (that's ALWAYS, as in 100% of the time) causes problems and usually makes things difficult to fix.
Lastly ... make regular backups! I must say this in the forums about seventy bazillion times a month. Make regular backups! Regular depends on how often you take photographs and edit them. Since my photographic activity usually happens on the weekends, I make backups every Sunday night. You may need a different schedule, depending on your activity level. MAKE REGULAR BACKUPS!

Thanks, but, using the "free" version of Reader, there is no opportunity to open nor import the xml data - the menu options do not exist - there is no import listed.
If we try to open the xml file directly, then we get an error - something to the effect of "unsupported file type, or the file is corrupted".
I just noticed in my Pro version that there is the command File ->Form Data ->Import Data to Form... command. Is this what you are referring to?
What do you recommend? Perhaps the easiest thing to do would be to purchase a few copies of Acrobat Pro for the reservations people to use? I was hoping that the free version of reader would do it, but perhaps not?

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

There's an alternative ...
Using Image Capture as a scanner:
Connect the scanner to your Mac whether Wi-Fi or USB.
Launch Image Capture.
Click the very small black box bottom right side of the Image Capture window.
You'll see this pop up menu: Connecting this (device) opens:
You can select a default app to scan (Image Capture) and select a folder from the Imort To pop up menu on the right to save scanned files to.
