How do I expose my toolbar on Firefox? It used to be visable but suddenly vanished. It's the one at the top which displays buttons for FILES EDIT VIEW FAVORITES TOOLS & HELP...I just need to access these items...Thank you
I had had the toolbar across the top of my screen visable. Suddenly it dissappeared, perhps from inadvertantly hitting some unknown button. I have tried to restore the toolbar but cannot figure out how. The toolbar contains all of my bookmarks, tools, etc. which I am now unable to access. Can u help me??? thanks...Mike Swanson

When I open Firefox there is no toolbar at all. I have tried deleting and then re-downloading it, but when I click on the icon on my desktop, all that comes up is a page that says "Widgets, Gadgets, RSS feeds, and more." There is no search box to surf the web, there is nothing.

Why can't I find file,edit, view favorites, tools and help features?
I downloaded firefox, but I can't see file,edit,veiw, favorites or tools. Why can I not see these items? and why does firefox crash so many times?
To restore the menu bar see [[menu bar is missing]].
For it crashing, the [[Firefox crashes]] article is a good starting place. If it submits crash reports to Mozilla, can you post some of the crash report IDs (the link above shows how to find them). The crash report IDs may help somebody identify the cause for your crashes. -
I don't know what I did, maybe download a more recent version of firefox, but I no longer have any of the file/edit/view/history/bookmarks/tools/help bar on upper left hand of the screen.
I also lost the BACK button the refresh or undo button and the home button.
where did they go and how do I get them back?
Thanks
Jim FAha! I found the "refresh" button at the end of the place where I enter the URL. don't know where "home" is yet, but my home page has mysteriously appeared in the tool bar above the URL.

I even loaded the beta4 version to see if that would shake the apple out of the tree, and no luck. There appears to be no tab/button anywhere on the screen to bring it back
Be careful with using the Firefox 4 beta version on your current Firefox 3.6 profile folder as it can modify (upgrade) files and make them incompatible with Firefox 3.6 or can otherwise cause problems at a later time.
In Firefox 3.6 and later on Windows you can hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu on a toolbar.
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

How do I get the "File, Edit, History, Bookmarks, Tools & Help Bar to appear on my browser. I also need my "Previous Page & Next Page" arrow... and my "Start" button to appear at the bottom of my screen. I can't navigate without these.
Be sure you are not in Full Screen Mode. The F11 key will toggle Full Screen Mode on or off. If you have no Firefox toolbars, tab bar, etc., you are probably in Full Screen Mode; your Windows Taskbar (with the "Start" button) will also not be visible.
*See --> http://kb.mozillazine.org/Netbooks#Full_screen
You can choose to use the Menu Bar (''File, Edit, History bookmarks, tools & help'') or the Firefox button menu in Firefox 4 and newer versions.
*See --> https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/common-questions-after-upgrading-firefox-36
The Back/Forward button (''Previous Page & Next Page" arrow'') are on the Navigation Toolbar; be sure the Navigation Toolbar is checked (to be displayed)

Windows Start button and Windows Taskbar:
*Be sure that "Auto-hide the taskbar" is '''''not checked''''' (if checked, moving the cursor pointer to the bottom of your monitor screen will cause it to slide up; it will disappear again when the cursor pointer is moved up from the bottom
*It is best to '''check''' "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows" so that application windows like Firefox cannot cover it.

As the question states, I tried updating from Firefox 3 to Firefox 4 two different ways and though I see a difference, it's definitely not all of Firefox 4. I updated with the auto update installer and downloaded the exe and installed and it's still not right. I don't have the new Firefox style or the Infamous Orange Firefox button. My Menu Bar (File, Edit, View, Etc...) is still there as well. The only thing that has really changed is the tabs going above the URL bar. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
To get the new style UI you need to hide the menu bar. To do that in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on the "Menu Bar" entry.
If you need access to the menus you can press either Alt or F10 to temporarily display them. -
The top bar is the one w/ refresh, X, home then the bar to type in websites. The menu bar used to be below that, now it's gone and I have a bar that says, "Most visited, Free Hotmail & Windows."
I had several sights saved in my favorites for my home based business and I can't get to them now. Thank you.Menu bar is missing

No OK Button For File Extension In Preferances! Help!
I have an external hard drive, which I put all of my media on. However, whenever I put a CD or download from the Itunes music store it doesnt save on this hard drive. I found a way to change where the files go for when I download or import through Itunes (Edit, Preferances) but there is no OK button at the bottom of the screen so the only thing I can do is X it out and it doesnt save any changes. Please help, my computer is too old, it holds 9 gigs, I can't save the music I listen to on it, so please help, thanks.
