How do I float a table on a spread sheet?

My spreadsheet has several separate tables that reference each other. one of the tables contains all of the constants. (Numerical values that never change) The other tables in this spreadsheet reference this "constants" table frequently. I would like the constants table to always be in view, floating above the other tables, but moves with the view when I scroll around the other tables. I believe this is possible in Excel using code and objects, but have not been able to find anything relevant that would allow me to do this.

The 5163 template has the following dimensional specs:
Dimensions & Info
Length: 4.00000"          Height: 2.00000"
Top Margin: 0.50000"          Bottom Margin: 0.50000"
Left Margin: 0.18000"          Right Margin: 0.18000"
Hor. Spacing (gutter): 0.14000"          Vert. Spacing (gutter): 0.00000"
Intended Use: Mailing Labels, Shipping Labels, Address Labels
There's a great vendor site with this data readily available, better than the Avery site in my opinion. But, you can get the same info in the Contacts Print dialog pane.
You can grab a template matching these dimensions from that vendor site, Copy the table after opening the Word Template in Pages and drop the into a blank Numbers Sheet.
I found that Sheet side margins of 0.15" worked better than 0.18. For some reason the table wanted to flow to the next page to the right with 0.18". Turning off the Headers and Footers and setting Top and Bottom Margins to 0.5" worked well. These adjustments are made in the Sheets Inspector.
So, that will put the template you specified into a Numbers document and you can print labels properly aligned from there. Since your problem statement is a bit lacking in detail, that's all I can offer you at this point.

Thanks to all of you who suggested cutting the table and pasting it into an alternative sheet. The problem I now have is that this does not work where cells are referenced by calculations in other tables
But I think links between tables can work fine if you want them to. Here's what I see on my machine:
On Sheet 1, a formula in Table 2 referring to Table 1:
Here's Table 2 cut and pasted to Sheet 2, formula intact, referring to Table 1 on Sheet 1.
If you want the tables on separate sheets, move the table whose formulas refer to a separate source table.

How to perform functions between tables on the same sheet in Numbers?

I have been working in Numbers creating a worksheet. On one sheet I have multipule tables, with one table it has functions that uses cells from other tables.
When I first created it, it worked fine with 3 tables. Now that I am trying to add more cells from other tables as functions in the main table, it is not working properly. It's not even highlighting the added cell in the function as it did when I created it. Can someone explain what has changed for this to happen.

In Numbers'09, when you point and click on the same cell for the second (third, etc.) time in the same expression (formula), you must hold down the Command key as you do it. Otherwise the subsequent references to that cell won't register. I know you believe that the problem began with adding more than three tables, but I'll bet that the actual problem is with the multiple occurrences of the same cell in one expression.
Just remember to hold down the Command key for additional references to a given cell and you should be OK.

I am trying to import a large excel spreadsheet to a new table. Using 1.5.4 with patch 2 applied. If excel is "small" all goes okay. If excel workbook is "large" I get to step 1 of 4 but no coumns show up. Also no workbook names. Cannot go any futher.
Oh yeas I am using windows XP on a novel Network. All current patches applied
What gives. Is there a setting not quite right.

The ABAP language provides two mechanisms for loading the table control with data from the internal table and then storing the altered rows of the table control back to the internal table.
Method 1: Read the internal table into the Table Control in the screenu2019s flow logic. Used when the names of the Table Control fields are based on fields of the internal table.
Method 2: Read the internal table into the Table Control in the module pool code. Used when the names of the Table Control fields are based on fields of the database table.
Method 1 (table control fields = itab fields)
In the flow logic we can read an internal table using the LOOP statement. Define the reference to the relevant able control by specifying WITH CONTROL <ctrl>
Determine which table entry is to be read by specifying CURSOR <ctrl>-CURRENT_LINE.
After the read operation the field contents are placed in the header line of the internal table. If the fields in the table control have the same name as the internal they will be filled automatically. Otherwise we need to write a module to transfer the internal table fields to the screen fields.

Hi Friend,
If you want to see the structures then go to SE11. Sometimes it happens that you cannot find the table names but only fields. In such case, if you want to find the Table names which is not available, then go to SE90.
Abap Dictionary > Fields > Table Fields.
Now Enter the Field name in Right Hand Side of the screen then Execute. You will see the all tables by which that Fields are used.

shouldn't your join condition be:
loc.loc_id = dept.DEPT_LOC
and dept.dept_id = ??
If you can join the three tables then create a generic datasource (RSO) based on a view (create your view with your join in SE11).
Enable the loc_id and the emp_id as selectable in the datasource so you can then select the values from a BW IPack.

how to create the custom table
There are two approach in creating a table.
1. Bottom-up approach
2. Top-down approach.
Both are valid and you can choose which approach is suitable for you. I always use the bottom-up approach. Here are the steps to create the tables with this approach.
1. SE11 will take you to the DDIC and enter the name of the new table to be created. Let us say Zname. Click create.
2. Enter the short discription of the table and enter the field of the table. If it is primary key and you have to check the box.
3. Enter the data element and double click it, you will be asked to save and will take you to data element discription page. Enter the short discription of the data element and enter the information of domain like the length of field and type of field.
4. If you wanted to use the existing domain then its fine, or else, you have to create one. Enter the domain name in the data element page and double click it. Page will ask to save and jump to domain creation page.
5. In the domain page, you have to save the information which you have already given in the data elements page and check it. Before going to data element page, you have to activate the domain.
6. Go to data element page and save, check and activate.
7. Go to main table page and save, check, and activate.
8. Also, you have to save the technical settings of the table.
The table is now ready for operation. You can use it in your program or you can use it to enter information.
Check table: It is the table which will have all the information about the Foreign keys which are the primary keys in the check table.
It can be created by creating the foreign key from the main table. Click foreign key in the main table and it will take you to a page which will ask for table name and field to which foreign key relation has to be associated. Enter the information and you can create the check table automatically.
SM30 is used for maintenance of the table, that is to realease the errors occured during the creation of the table.
