How do I get past "use wi-fi to restore" on ipad ios6?

There are two options on the iPad screen: Later and Use Wi-Fi. Both buttons darken when I touch them; neither triggers an action. I was at McDonald's when this happened, and couldn't get onto their Wi-Fi. Now at home I can't connect by iPad to my own Wi-Fi. The "Slide to Unlock" button doesn't respond. The "Slide to power off" button doesn't respond. I've done a Restore through iTunes, and nothing has changed. What do I do now?

After it restores it will walk through a setup.
It will ask you if you want to setup as a new device, from an iCloud backup or from an iTunes backup. Choose iCloud backup and then it will ask you to sign in to your iCloud account. It will restore and reboot. The you will be good.

It is still asking for the four digit passcode. I tried using the one that was orgingally programed and it disables it every time. How can I get past this? I have tried to do a restore and it still takes me back to the lock screen. Please help!

The the account you used to "purchase" iPhoto is the Apple ID you used to set yoru couputer up with - log into th eApp store using that Apple ID and look under purchases - if you have not accepted the App yet then you will have to accept it first

You need to set up an iCloud account before you can back it up. And you back it up directly from the device - iCloud.com has nothing to do with it. Follow the instructions in the link below to set up your iCloud account and to set up Automatic Backups:

Just in case the following is helpful to anyone else:
The switch has to be done manually since all of the sort categories--except album artist--have changed to automatically sort with articles, which is a bit of a pain if you have a lot of articled artists, but there is actually a way to WRITE IN how you want your artist (or whatever) to sort. I just changed my POLICE to COPPERS as a test, and by golly now all the music comes up/is reorganized under C right below Coolio, still listed as The Police!
Before the newest update, the auto-sort always sorted ARTIST to my liking (i.e. ignoring the article), so I never bothered to check out any other tab save Details and Artwork, but voila:

It appears that something happened to yur computer/iTunes files. It happens sometimes. To recovery:
- Import the old music into the current iTunes library
- Make sure all the apps are also in the library
- If in the USA and therplaces where iCloud has benn released you can redownload most iTunes puchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- You can always redownload apps at no additional cost as long as you are singned into the same iTunes account the originally purchased them.
- After all the suff in in the iTunes library, make a backup of the iPod by connecting the iPod to the computer and right clicking on the iPOd under Devices in iTunes.
- Restore the iPod from backup and restore as necessary.

I can't change my Apple ID. It would mess all my stuff up.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
