DateTime without time calendar control parameter

I am using a sql server stored procedure x as the data source for a report .
It has one parameter as
x param1(datetime of sql server)..
so when I use this as my data source the parameter pops up with time factor also. Is there any way I can avoid it ..other than using the datasource as "exec x param1".

You could always keep the parameter as datetime, and just ignore the time portion (basic syntax, loosely speaking):
dim mindate as date
mindate = DateValue({?mindate})
if {start_date} in mindate + time (00, 00, 00) to mindate + time (23, 23, 59 ) then
  ... whatever
end if

    Hi:

For Example: I have 2 Calendar control parameter(Startdate,Enddate). If i select Startdate(2014-04-24)Parameter, Todate Parameter user will not select less than Startdate value (Past date are Hide/Invisible/Not selectable) and Limit the
date. How to restrict Enddate parametre value in SSRS 2008 R2.

    Hi,
Currently, this cannot be achieved in Reporting Services. If I specific dates in the available values, the calendar control will change to a drop-down box control. You can only specify the default value for this parameter.
Here is my workaround for this:
    1. Add a text box and type “The start day cannot be greater than the end day!” in the value.
    2. On the Visibility page, choose the option of Show or hide based on an expression. Click expression button and type:
     =IIF(Parameters!EndDate.Value<Parameters!StartDate.Value,FALSE,TRUE)
    3. And define the visibility of your report as well, using the following expression:
    =IIF(Parameters!StartDate.Value>Parameters!EndDate.Value,TRUE,FALSE)
    Thanks.

  • How to make users to select the date from calendar control my making the date field read only in date time control in external list in sharepoint 2010

How to make users to select the date from calendar control only, by my making the date text field read only (don't want to let users type the date) in date time control in external list in sharepoint 2010. I am looking for a solution which can

  • SQL SSRS 2008 DateTime Calendar Control and Oracle 10g Data Source

Hello. I am creating reports in SSRS 2008 using the calendar control for a date range. Let's say we select a start date of 3/3/2012. This parameter is sent into my SQL statement in the WHERE clause which is executed against an Oracle 10g database. All syntax has to be in SQL that Oracle understands, so no CONVERT or CAST.
The format of the date is throwing an error "ORA-01843: not a valid month" when I try to use the following:
    SELECT *
    FROM TABLE
    WHERE STARTDATE >= TO_DATE('3/03/2012', 'MM/DD/YYYY')
I get ORA-01722: invalid number when I try the following:
    SELECT *
    FROM TABLE
    WHERE STARTDATE >= >= TO_CHAR('3/03/2012', 'MM/DD/YYYY')
I cannot find a way to format the date parameter in SQL Server SSRS before it gets to the SQL to be executed in Oracle.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Sunny

It works. The problem is getting the parameter '3/3/2012' into a usable format for Oracle.
Let's assume an application is sending in '3/3/2012' which will be used in an Oracle query (no PL/SQL allowed, nor can I create functions, stored procedures, etc - only straight up SQL). How can I prepare the parameter to successfully do the compare on the Oracle Date field?

  • Click on calendar control in parameter prompt of viewer gets Jscript error

Within SAP supplied CrystalViewer.  VS2008 web app, XIR2 Crystal Server, 11.5.3700 or 11.5.3300 libraries.  Although not a forum favored combination of tools, everything seems to work except calendar control within parameter prompts.
IUSER_(machine name) or everyone has read and execute access for directory and subdirectories via IIS and Windows file system (suggestion from a more general problem post).
I am able to fill in the date parameter text box and all works well.  Calendar icon properly displays to right of text box but it is followed on subsequent lines by :
    Business Objects X
    i
    i
    within the individual parameter box.
Click on calendar icon to allow pick of date from calendar causes Jscript error.

    Hi Jonathon,
Thank you for your quick response.  Response to you questions follows.
    Q:Does it work anywhere?
A:It doesn't work on any date parameter when executed in VS project.  (It does work with Crystal Developer XIR2 client.)  I am only using the viewer - not designing report within project.  Given that, can you suggest a test for calendar control outside of parameters to answer this question?  Sorry for my ignorance.
Q:It is likely the combination of CR 2008 / XI R2 is not playing well, as you've indicated - they are not meant to. It could be missing runtime files causing issues. Is the CR 2008 runtime installed on the server as well, or only the XI R2 runtime?
A: We have VS2008 but not CR2008 which is what I think you meant.  With VS2008 installed on development workstation accessing remote XIR2 server objects, a web app running on workstation has problem with calendar.  I am out of my league, but I am thinking the execution of a calendar control for a parameter would not need to call any Crystal libary which might mess things up, but the call is coming from an 11.5.3700 viewer which may be making the wrong call for a VS2008 base library that handles calendar control.  But, I am hoping instead that the problem is that it cannot find something it needs or that it does not have proper access to that something (which has been the cause of all the other problems I have solved).

  • Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 (SP6) errors

One of our functioning VBA projects in Outlook 2010, running under Windows 7 Professional (64-bit), unexpectedly stopped functioning a few months ago. When running the VBA macro we started receiving the compile error message:
"Object library invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found"
PROBLEM FORM CONTROL:  The message was extremely frustrating because it gave no detailed indication of the source of the problem.  With a little research, however, we found that the
Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 (SP6), on a userform accessed by the macro, was generating the error.  A number of older articles, such as the one included below, indicated that we needed
to re-register the MSCOMCT2.OCX form control, which we did successfully (as did the original author in his question link below).  Unfortunately, as the original author found, simply re-registering the form control did not resolve the problem.
    UNRESOLVED QUESTIONS:
    1. Does anyone know why this functioning control would unexpectedly cease to function?
    2. Can anyone help us restore the functionality of the 'Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 (SP6)'?
    3. How come the form control is listed in the object library, is available in the 'Additional Controls' dialog, and can be inserted into a form, without any indication that it is broken?
SUPPORT ENGINEER RUN-AROUND:  Another frustration is that a responding support engineer, in the prior article, keeps referring the author back to this forum, yet the question is apparently never answered back here in
the TechNet forum (which ironically refers us back to the original article in the other forum - a game of musical chairs!).
We suspect that the solution to this problem may be similar to resolving this issue for other similar form controls in other Office 2010 application, not just Outlook.  After several years, and a myriad questions on the internet regarding
this exact subject, is there someone who can definitively resolve this issue with this control?
    Thank you for any help.

  • Calendar control not binding default data

    Hi All,
I an using the calendar component to set the data my QaaWS looksup data for. The problem is the first time I display the calendar, it does not insert the current selection into my destination cells. THis is not happening all the time or for all calendars.
I have 5 calendar controls on a dashboard. Each is set to dynamically display. When displayed it is supposed to display a selected data, which I can see is correct if I use the spreadsheet component. However, when the 4th aand 5th components are displayed they do not insert the data to the data insertion cells, for month (sometimes) and year (always) unless I change that data.

  • CTM Control Parameter SSTOCK_MODE

    Hello All,
We are running CTM with control parameter SSTOCK_MODE with value 1:X, value 2: blank. in this way ctm plans only for safety stock demand, not normal demand.
However, when we do this, CTM does not see available supply already created and it creates production plan again.  Is there anyone who had the same problem or who can help on that?
    Thanks and regards,
    Jenny

    Hi,
Why does CTM create an excess of supply when I use the safety stock method?
    Answer:
The standard safety stock method uses a second run to fulfil the requirements for the safety stock. CTM checks the inventory profile and as soon as there is a need it creates a virtual demand for the second run. With this method CTM creates demands at a certain point of time to maintain safety stock level irrespective of the orders created further down the timeline. Consequently you can get an excess of supply, especially when lotsize settings are being considered.
For example you can face a situation with no stock at the beginning of
the planning period and then several big forecasts at the end.
In this case CTM creates a demand for the safety stock without taking
into account the following forecasts (which have been supplied in the first run).
In order to mitigate the creation of excess of supply you can use the control parameter SSTOCK_MODE:
    SSTOCK_MODE
Do not use in SCM 5.0 or higher. Instead use in CTM profile ->
Supplies with 'Build Up Safety Stock'
    Do not plan Demands indicator  = SSTOCK_MODE Value1 = X.
    Consider Supply Shortage indicator = SSTOCK_MODE Value2 = X and 1 and 2 Stock is Available indicator = SSTOCK_MODE Value2 = 0 and 2.
    Release APO 3.0A (SP20+) APO 3.10 SCM 4.0 SCM 4.1
Parameter used in Safety Stock Run (ABAP)
Parameter has to be set by User
Value 1 = "", X (Parameter active also if Value 1 not set)
    Value 2 = 0, 1 (previously X) or 2
Description: Demands and Safety Stock fulfilment can be done in the same CTM run. Applied only if safety stock rebuild active.
If Value 1 is set the order selection of the normal run is performed but the planning of normal demands is skipped. The safety stock run is performed as usual.
In the safety stock run, CTM creates virtual demands to trigger building up to the desired safety stock level.
If Value 2 = 1 or 2 the net calculation of the inventory also takes into account the backlog of normal demands. By default, the safety stock run doesn't take into account the backlog of normal demands, which is determined by the unpegged quantity.
If value 2 = 0 or 2 , available stock is not blocked for safety stock requirement of the same location product, but is visible to dependent requirements during planning. However stock with a pegging relation is not available and remains untouched.
The combination of both values can be used to plan normal demands and safety stock in one run. This allows avoiding interval planning in case of time-dependent safety stock. This setting is only suitable if safety stock is considered exclusively for finished products because normal demand counts up against decreasing safety stock level. In this case parameters SSTOCK_EARLYFRAME and SSTOCK_LATEFRAME should be applied.
Go through the above detail, it may help you.
    Thanks,
    Dipankar

  • How to limit data range in a Line chart with Time Refresh Control

    Hi All,
I have a Line chart with Time Refresh Control and I would like to make some constraints to this navigation.
For example, I would like to limit the user to navigate in a data range of 8 hours.
    Is this posible?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Pedro,
as far as I know, this is not possible using the time controls on an iChart. However, you may have some success by using your own time controls which call JavaScript methods exposed by the applet.
For example, you could begin by hiding the time and calendar buttons on an iChart, and creating some buttons of your own. For instance, to set the start date of a query (and thus the start date of the iChart using the query), you can use the following:
    document.getElementById("appletID").getQueryObject().setStartDate(<date string>);
Using code like the above (look into the xMII script assistant and documentation), you should be able to build time controls which satisfy your requirements. The exact format of <date string> in the sample above will depend on the date format defined in the query template this script calls.
    Hope this helps,
    Sascha

  • Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 - Need help!

I am working on a form in Office 365 Excel 2013 that uses the Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0.  When I set the form up last week, this Active X control was working perfectly.  The weekend goes by...and now it's not working at all?
My PC is 64 bit.  I believe my version of Office is also 64 bit.  When I researched this issue online, I found lots of people who indicated that this control was missing in their development kit.  It was and has always been available in mine
(i.e. I didn't have to load an MSCOMCT2 file).  Further, this control WAS WORKING when I created it last week.  Now it is not, even though no changes have been made to it.  I can place the control on the sheet and even set properties for it.
But once I click out of Design Mode, it is not functioning.  It doesn't open or respond to any clicks on it.
Can anyone help me identify a reason why it may have suddenly stopped working?  I don't think it is macro-related because I have a 'Clear Form' button on the same page and it works just fine.
UPDATE:  I've noticed something else peculiar but relevant.  My office 365 just did some updates.  When updates were completed, it auto-reopened my file.  I noticed that the Date/Time Picker button looked funny (really pixelated).
So I hit 'Design Mode' and resized it.  After I exited 'Design Mode,' it started working again.  I tested it, along with my 'Clear Form' button multiple times.  It seemed to be working fine.  I closed the document and reopened it.
Enabled Macros.  When I tried to use it after reopen, it doesn't work again.  Won't respond to ANY attempts to click on it. I can click on 'Design Mode' and it sees the control, edits properties, etc.  But when you click out of 'Design Mode,'
it's a dead button again.  I also went to someone else's desk to test this form.  Same problem.  Date/Time picker button doesn't work, even after enabling macros.  The Clear Form Button has no problems though.
    Thanks!

  • What is the best practice for using the Calendar control with the Dispatcher?

It seems as if the Dispatcher is restricting access to the Query Builder (/bin/querybuilder.json) as a best practice regarding security.  However, the Calendar relies on this endpoint to build the events for the calendar.  On Author / Publish this works fine but once we place the Dispatcher in front, the Calendar no longer works.  We've noticed the same behavior on the Geometrixx site.

Option "2" states "Lead time scheduling and capacity planning"

    Hi,
Option "1 " states "Basic dates will be determined for planned orders"
The order basic dates are determined from the in-house production time in the material master and used as production dates.
Option "2" states "Lead time scheduling and capacity planning"
lead time scheduling is carried out. The production dates are calculated from the floats in the scheduling margin key of the material master and the individual operation times in the routing.
