How do i know if i'm connected to wifi??

I have wifi at home and when i try to connect the phone it just does not seem to do it. Am i missing something? is there somewhere on the phone that shows it's connected? help???

It should say connected under the Wireless settings. You will also have a WiFi symbol next to the signal bars with "up/down: arrow under the WiFi symbol denoting data transfer.

If you download them via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app on your iPad then they should show in the Books collection on the app's bookshelf - and you should be able to read any books that you download from the store to your bookshelf without needing to be online.

How do I know if someone is connected to my wireless router for internet?

Easiest was is to look at the security log for signins from your router. Am assuming you already know how to log into your router. OH, and to stop it, if you have not already done so, set a security password, AND enable wps-2 security. That SOULD stop any future unauthorized access in the future. If you don't already know how to do that, your routers instruction manual; should tell you how to do that.

I don't know the command, personally, but there is also a command signal you can send, which identifies the ssid even it it's turned off, so JUST disabling the broadcast is pretty easily bypassed.Your best bet, if it's available, is to use type n, instead of type g protocol, activate the enhanced security, and make sure to set a password. we are integrating plm system to SAP ERP system(ecc). Plm system is connected to sap through sap CAD INTERFACE. In the cad interface they are configured process codes(5 chatecters length for identifying application like BOMCN for BOM) and subprocess codes(2 characters length for crete , delete e.t.c).
These functions call dialog rfc interface like BOM_CREATE_BILL_OF_ MATERIAL. My question is how these process codes are calling RFC's and these are dialog rfc's how we can run in backgroung procesing. I will appreciate for early reply.

How do I get my MBP to connect to WiFi using WPS?

I keep forgetting my WiFi password, and since my router has one of those fancy WPS buttons, I wanted to use it to get online.
HOWEVER, I can't seem to on my MBP. All it says is "Enter Paraphrase" and there isn't any option for using WPS. Google isn't any help, and keeps pointing me to .wps support which is not what I'm looking for.
Do I need to upgrade my OS or did I miss any patches? Alternatively, do I need to install any third party software to get WPS working?

Thanks for your helpful response. I do have an Apple TV device that is hooked up to my TV & router and is working OK. I can link to iTunes on my main computer and stream photos etc OK. The Apple TV device also links to internet OK.
What I can't get to Apple TV device to do is link to my IPad2. I followed the instructions on using & setting up Airplay, and found the Airplay symbol OK,. When I tap it it shows my iPad & Apple TV. When I tap on the TV symbol it doesn't show the dialogue box indicated. I can't seem to get the iPad to stream from Photos, and the iPad doesn't show up on the TV under Computers.
Clearly I am doing something wrong, but what?
Any ideas?

You posted in the iPad forum, but you profile lists an iPhone 4S. Does your iPhone or iPad have this problem.
Here's some iPad suggestions. Most also apply to the iPhone. Your iPhone or iPad may show the wifi symbol but that only shows the presence of a wifi signal. Not that you are connected.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Ipad will not connect to WiFi

I know my WiFi connection is working fine but I can't get the Ipad to connect to it. It was fine until I tried connecting an Airport Express using the Ipad, went through the whole tutorial and at the end I got the "unexpected error ocurred" message, I canceled and unplugged the Airport, but now the Ipad will not connect to my WiFi, please help!!

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.
