How do I recover a password just newly created on a new i-pad? I took note of the password created but it won't recognize it.

I actually don't remember the initial process, since it happened like 15 days ago. All I kow is that I have followed the steps when i have turned it on for the first time, I remember creating an apple account, passoword, etc, but is the account password the same to unlock the i-pad? Does it come with a standard intial (default) code? Thanks!

The password used to log in to a user account remotely is the same as you would use to log into it locally. You can also use your Apple ID, so try that.

If the enclosing folder is one used by Mac OS X itself, leave it as is.
I appreciate your advice. I don't know why I need to “leave it as it is” ? I'm trying to create a new folder in the hard drive. (Done this for 30 years.)

I noticed this was missing too- I use some apps on my iPhone for running and when synced over bluetooth in my car, where the new "random button" and "up next" isn't a viable solution. I have to save a randomized playlist ahead of time since those uses don't support randomization through iTunes- they can only play in the playlist order.
I like to have 5 copies of the same playlist each randomized weekly ahead of time and synced so that each time I go running, it's not the exact same order. Can't find how to do this in iTunes 11.

If you have forgotten the password to that Apple ID, then go to My Apple ID and you will see and option to reset your password. You will need to answer the security questions or if you have a rescue email address set up you can get it sent to that email to reset the password. Check out the article for more information.
