How do I uninstall Elements Organizer while keeping Elements.

Organizer has messed up the alphabetical sorting of my thousands of files even while viewing them with Picasa viewer.
This is truly unbelievable.
So far, the thousands of Google hits concerning uninstalling Organizer have returned either asinine replies or Rube Goldberg contraptions.
I'm a newbie in Elements/Organizer after deciding to go the paid way instead of using GIMP/Picasa and other freebies for I don't know how long..
What a disapointment! What a let-down!

You can't uninstall the organizer and keep the editor, but you don't have to use the organizer. Many people don't. Just use file>open in the editor instead.

It is very critical to delete all preferences when you do a major OS X upgrade. You need to go to your username>library>preferences and delete everything pertaining to PSE. To see that library in 10.9, open a finder window, click your user account in the list on the left (the little house with your name), and then click the gear wheel at the top of the window and choose View Options. At the bottom of the list of checkboxes you'll see Library. Turn it on and then you can easily find the preferences folder.

N8: How to assign custom SMS tone while keeping it...

The task is pretty much outlined in the topic title, but I'll still elaborate:
I want to assign Knock.aac (just a renamed Message 2.aac from my old N73) as a message tone, while keeping it hidden from the music library.
Hiding it is simple: I just put it to E:\Sounds\Simple and the library cannot see it. But what about assigning it as default tone for messages? When I open it via music player, the only option is to use it as the main ringtone, which is not what I want. When I open the Profile customisation screen and try to find it from there, it's simply nowhere to be found.
The only workaround I was able to find is putting it in E:\Sounds\Recordings as a .WAV file. This way it can be assigned as a Sound Clip. But I'd like to keep it .AAC or .MP3, and that's not possible in this workaround, because Sound Clips have to be .WAV, otherwise they can't be seen in the list.
Any ideas how to achieve this task in a civilized way?

How do I go from organizer to Premiere Elements editor?

Sorry to bother the forum with this. I finished adding keyword labels to video clips in the organizer and now want to take those clips to Premiere Elements 9 for editing. How does someone do that? I looked at the help information, and perhaps Adobe thinks it's obvious, but it's not. Also, once in Premiere Elements, why do the video clips not show up in project view? Thanks for your help. Steve, I appreciate your taking the time to respond. I've experimented more and can ask the question
more precisely: I can import files directly in the Premiere Elements 9 and work with them (including being able to see them in project view) but I am having trouble doing the same thing in organizer.
Once I've finished creating a catalog in organizer (added star ratings and keywords), I want to take certain files into Premiere but not have them added to the timeline or sceneline. I want them to be in the "media" section and in the "projects view."
Do I need to create an album while still in organizer and, if so, how do I get the clips in that album to function the way I've just described?

I purchased Adobe Photoshop and Premeire Elements 9 two years ago. The organizer would never stay open long enough for me to do anything with it. I figured it was just my computer which had been having issues. I installed it on my new computer this week and it is doing the same thing. Is something set incorrectly or is this software just junk? The company now encourages me to buy Version 11. If 9 never worked why trust 11? Any suggestions?

Firefox randomly updated itself today and some settings changed. I always restore the tabs I previously used, and whenever I open a new tab it would show a blank page. I don't know how I did that, but now I only ever get the options to "show my windows and tabs from last time" or "show a blank page." So now when I open a new tab, it shows me small images of websites I frequently visit, but I don't want that.

I don't think it is possible to open a blank page when restoring your session. You can always open a new tab and then restore your previous session using the "Restore Previous Session" on the page "about:home" which you can set as your home page. However, you mentioned you do not want the most visited sites to be shown on the new tab page, so to solve that you need to click the 9-panel box button in the top right-hand corner of your screen after opening a new tab, once you click that you will never see the most visited sites unless you press that button again.

How can I export a Video while keeping separate Audio Channels?

I'm trying to export some AVCHD footage and convert to ProRes. However, I do not want to mix the left and right channels together so that they both end up playing the same audio in the ProRes file. I have audio from one mic on Channel 1 and audio from another mic on Channel 2, and I would like to keep that once the video files is exported. I'm new to Premiere Pro so instead of spending an hour trying to figure it out myself I was hoping someone could help me out.

Right on. Now, the technical explanation, so you know what's going on:
Your footage imported with dual mono tracks--whether it was recorded that way or mapped that way on import, only you can say. When you dropped it into a sequence (or on the New Item button), the source audio tracks were placed in mono sequence tracks, but the sequence has a stereo master track. When the audio from these tracks is routed from the sequence tracks to the master tracks, since it's mono and by default panned center, it outputs to both output channels equally. By panning the mono tracks hard left and hard right, respectively, you're essentially isolating each of those tracks to a particular output channel.
Had your audio been shot as stereo or if you had remapped the dual mono tracks (right-click the clip in the bin before using it in a sequence and go to Modify > Audio Channels) to function as the two channels of a stereo clip, you could have dropped the clip into a stereo sequence track, and the separation would have maintained (assuming the sequence was using a stereo master track). This is a viable solution, too, but may limit your editing a bit more since instead of two separate mono audio tracks, you're working with one stereo audio track.
Either way will work; experiment to decide which will work best for your workflow.

This Adobe update window was most likely a pop-up from within one of the tabs that you closed, which means that as soon as the parent page is closed, the pop-up closes as well, which is by design. The subject says it all. I want to make a clean install of Snow Leopard(SL) on my iMac which already has a Boot Camp partition that I don't want to mess up. Is it as simple as just reformat the OS X partition and install SL there or do I have to do some 'fancy' tricks to make this happen?

Hi,
reinstalling SL (or even upgradeing to it from a previous OSX version) usually does not affect your BootCamp Windows at all.
Nonetheless, to be on the safe side it is always best to have/make a backup of your Windows on an external harddisk prior to the SL installation.

How to Import a DTS Package, while keeping version History in Destination Intact

Hi Guys,
Not sure if this is the right forum for my question. But I couldn't find any other DTS forum to post my query.
Basically, I have my Production Environment in SQL 2008R2 and it contains few DTS [NOT SSIS!!!!] packages in Management > Legacy. One of those packages, Let's say is, 'PackageA.dts'.
Now for the PackageA, we have versions of last couple of years (almost 11 versions we have for this package), recently in Test Environment (again, SQL 2008R2) we made Lot of changes to that Package and now we want bring that package from Test Env. to Production.
But a) we prefer not to 'open it in Prod then make all individual changes one by one' rather we just need to kind of overwrite/replace our existing Production Package b) also, we don't want to loose version history for the Existing PackageA.dts
in Production, so anytime we can rollback when required.
Any Idea if I can? [Please don't post non relevant answer like, convert DTS to SSIS. Sorry if I sound rude, really will appreciate if some one can try helping me.]

Can't use elements organizer while signed in

Any one else experiencing problems like put photos in an album, only to find the software can't find the pics you just put in an album, or find photos deleted from your hard drive even if you have not deleted photos, the third thing is that I find edited copies of photoes that have never been edited. These are fine when I use the software but never log in, when logged in all kinds of wierd stuff happens.
