How do you calculate the length of a microcassette tape on the M-2000 transcriber?

There is a counter that runs as you rewind a microcassette tape.  What is the equivalent in minutes?  I would like to know how long the tapes are that I am preparing to type.  Thanks for your prompt reply.

Unfortunately, we have a very limited information about the M-2000 Micro Cassette Recorder since it was first released in the market last 7/1/1989. Perhaps, the manual here can be of help.

  • I wanted to know how do you calculate the number of days between two dates

    i wanted to know how do you calculate the number of days between two dates in java ? i get both the dates from the database. i guess there are many issues like leap year and Febuary having diff no of months ..etc.

    thanks..
    I solve my problem as
    public class MyExample {
        public static void main(String a[]) {
            String stdate = "2009-03-01";
            java.sql.Date currentDate = new java.sql.Date(System.currentTimeMillis());
            java.sql.Date preDate = java.sql.Date.valueOf(stdate);
            System.out.println(currentDate);
            System.out.println(preDate);
    //        int dateCom = preDate.compareTo(currentDate);
    //        System.out.println(dateCom);
            long diff = currentDate.getTime() - preDate.getTime();
            int days = (int) Math.floor(diff / (24 * 60 * 60 * 1000));
             System.out.println(days);
    }

  • How do you calculate the count in before a cue start?

    Here's what I can't figure out.
    I have a quicktime loaded and I need to start a cue at, let's say, 1:05:07:10. I want the tempo to be, oh, 120. I arbitrarily say - this will be measure 41 but it doesn't really matter, I just need my downbeat at that TC and the tempo to be correct.
    So far so good. I have no problem doing this with Tempo operations. I lock the time code, assign it a measure (in this case 41) and have logic calculate a single tempo from 1:00:00:00 (measure 1) to the desired start.
    Now here's my real question. How do I calculate 4 or 8 beats before 1:05:07:10 so I can have a count it at the correct tempo (120)?
    So I'm wonder how some of y'all handle this situation.
    Thanks

    As long as you are in the Fetch call, all other calls to the Scope
    driver will block until Fetch exits.  That's why the Abort doesn't
    do anything.  You have two options:
      1) Use a finite timeout.  Obviously, you are running into
    cases in which the trigger does not arrive, and want to exit
    cleanly.  This is exactly what the timeout is for.
      2) Determine the acquisition state before calling fetch.
    If this is a finite, single-record acquisition, poll on acquisition
    status and do not call fetch until the status is 1 (acquisition
    complete).  If you're doing a finite, multi-record acquisition,
    poll on the Fetch>>Records Done property and only fetch the
    records that have completed.  If you're doing a continuous
    acquisition, poll on the Fetch>>Points Done or Fetch>>Fetch
    Backlog property and only fetch the number of points that have been
    acquired.
    There's no clean way to break the infinite timeout fetch without forcing LabVIEW to close.

  • How do you calculate the number of bytes in a hexidecimal array?

    Hi can anybody help me calculate the number of bytes in a hexidecimal array ie:
    04h + 12h + 4Eh + 20h = 84h
    Thanks

    Hi,
    I'm not sure if you want to count the bytes or sum the array. But here's an example of both:
    Hope this helps,

  • How do you calculate the instantaneous frequency of a signal in LabView?

    I'm working with neural signals that can be described as a nonlinear series of action potentials.  I've already calculated the spike density function (spikes per second against time) and was wondering if this is the instantaneous frequency?  If not, could someone please describe how to calculate instantaneous frequency in LabView without the advanced signal processing toolkit.

    Instantaneous frequency is a term which seems to be context-sensitive.  In other words the definition can vary depending upon the application.
    Spikes per second would be more of an average frequency (averaged over one second).
    For your neural signals I would think that an instantaneous frequency would be defined as the reciprocal of the time between successive spikes.  Since you can count spikes, you should be able to determine the time of each spike.

  • How do you calculater correlation coefficients for data?

    I would like to calculate the correlation coefficient for data which has a linear correlation. I can calculate the linear fit, but how do you calculate the correlation coefficient from this data. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    If you're just looking for the correlation coefficient (r^2 or r) of a linear regression, you can use the method described HERE earlier.

  • Text on path: How can I calculate the text length?

    Hi
    I have a text on path (spline item). Now I need the length of this text and the length of the spline item.
    I try to calculate the text length using IWaxLine::GetWidth(), but this is always 0.
    - How can I calculate the length of this text?
    - How can I calculate the length of the spline item?
    Thanks
    Hans

    It would be interesting if you could describe the purpose of your "length", but I don't have an answer anyway. Would the bounding box be sufficient?
    Considering that TOP may be combined with arbitrary spline paths, this could become an exercise in higher math. I haven't yet encountered a function that returns the mathematical length of such a spline.
    Otherwise it could be solved if you iterate and sum up the relevant points of the bounding box (ascender, descender, baseline?) of individual glyphs.
    Be warned that the whole TOP looks alien, as if it were a transplant from a different program. Experience also shows that documented and actually used interfaces / commands are completely different animals ...

  • How do I calculate the total size of selected folders?

    Hello
    My question is:
    How do I calculate the total size of selected folders?
    Thank you

    It does show the aggregate size.
    Command-Option-I opens the Inspector window. (Or open the File menu and hold the Option key. Get Info turns into Show Inspector.) The Inspector is similar to the Get Info window but it shows aggregate info for multiple selections. It is also dynamic — if you change the selection while the Inspector is open, the info changes to reflect the current selection.

  • How do you change the resolution of a Photo?

    In iPhoto, how to you reduce the resolution of a photo in order to reduce the file size? This makes it easier to email because of the smaller file size?

    Let's say I have a photo with a resolution of of 3264 x 2448 pixels.
    Tat's not a measurement of resolution, that's the dimensions (length x breadth) of the photo, expressed in pixels.
    Resolution is a vague term most used to describe the density of pixels - i.e the pixels per inch.
    1) I want to edit it and reduce the resolution to 1024 x 768 pixels.
    No, you want to reduce the dimensions of the image to 1024 x 768
    2) Do this within iPhoto without using the export feature thereby keeping the edited photo in iPhoto?
    You can't. It can only be done on export. Why? When you edit a photo iPhoto preserves the original and makes a copy of the file containing the edit. As most people reduce the dimensions, file size or resolution for a specific purpose (to upload it for instance), it's thought best to export it, upload it nd then trash it.
    Of course, you can simply import the export back in, if you have a burning need of it in iPhoto.

  • How do you shuffle the image order when creating a new slideshow in apterture 3?  i would like to do this automatically when creating a new slideshow.  i see how you do it when you just play a slideshow.

    how do you shuffle the image order when creating a new slideshow in apterture 3?  i would like to do this automatically when creating a new slideshow.  i see how you do it with presets when you just play a slideshow, but i don't see an option to randomly shuffle the slide order when you create a new slideshow.  i know you can sort it by different fields, but i want it to be random.  thanks.

    If you want to rearrange images in random order you can try an AppleScript:
    retrieve a list of selected images from Aperture
    shuffe the list properly
    create an album in Aperture and add the images from the list to the album (make sure that the album set to be orederd manually)
    Here  is a sample script that shuffles the selected images and displays them in random order in Full Screen Mode:
    on removeItem(ims, i)
      -- remove the item at position "i" from a list ims
              if ims is {} then return {}
              if (length of ims is 1) then return {}
              if i < 2 then return rest of ims
              if (i = length of ims) then return (items 1 thru (i - 1) of ims)
              if i > (length of ims) then return ims -- should be error?
              return (items 1 thru (i - 1) of ims) & (items (i + 1) thru (length of ims) of ims)
    end removeItem
    on shuffle_items(ims)
      -- shuffle the items of the list "ims" randomly
              local numitems, ims_shuffled, nextrest, nextpick, i
              set numitems to length of ims
              if length of ims < 2 then return ims
              set ims_shuffled to {}
              set nextrest to ims
              repeat until nextrest is {}
                        set i to (random number (numitems - 1)) + 1
                        set nextpick to item i of nextrest
                        set beginning of ims_shuffled to nextpick
                        set numitems to numitems - 1
                        set nextrest to removeItem(nextrest, i)
              end repeat
              return ims_shuffled
    end shuffle_items
    on shuffleIms()
      -- retrieve the selected images from Aperture
      -- and display them in random order in full screen mode
              local imageSel, shuffled, i
              tell application "Aperture"
      activate
                        set imageSel to (get selection)
                        set shuffled to my shuffle_items(imageSel)
                        set fullscreen to true
                        if imageSel is {} then error "Please select some images."
                        repeat with i from 1 to count of shuffled
                                  reveal {item i of shuffled}
      delay 3 -- chnage that to the time you want
                        end repeat
                        set fullscreen to false
                        return shuffled
              end tell
    end shuffleIms
    shuffleIms()
    Some more code snippets to go from here:
    To create an album:
                        tell library 1
                                  if not (exists album "shuffledAlbum") then
      make new album with properties {name:"shuffledAlbum", image version:shuffled}
                                  end if
                        end tell
    And to add the images from the shuffled list to the album:
                        repeat with i from 1 to count of shuffled
                                  duplicate item i of shuffled to album "shuffledAlbum"
                        end repeat

  • How can I calculate the characters with spaces in a document on pages

    I'm currently using pages to write my personal statement up on, although i need to keep my characters including spaces under 4000 characters and also have no more than 47 lines. I've found how to do a word count and find how many charcaters I've used, but i can't see anywhere the information that I actually need to find! Someone please help, thankyou

    How can you calculate the number of lines if you don't know how many characters there are to a line?
    This is 2013. We are using word processors with real fonts, not terminals or teletypers or typewriters.
    If you must have 47 lines then shrink the point size of the font until it fits.
