How do you query a collection in a Standard Tabular Form?

I'm adding validation to a Standard Tabular form, and would like to use the values of attributes in the collection as part of the validation. To do this, I want to query the collection in the Tabular form to find the current values of the attributes. Is it possible to query collection values in a Standard Tabular form? If so, how do you find the name of your collection that is generated by the wizard? I am query against the APEX_COLLECTIONS view and getting 'no data found'.

How do you know what view is available to a form?

A customer requirement that we set the a firstlogin attribute on the on one of the resources the first time a user logs into the IDM end user interface, changes their password, and provides answers for their authentication questions. The way I know that a person has done this, it that they are displayed the "End User Menu"
The problem is the accounts portion of the User view is not accessible from the End User Menu. I put the same code in the End User Form and it works.
Is there a way for me to access resource attributes from this form?
Is this the incorrect approach to solving this problem?

Thanks, that was my problem originally. When using a fieldref I had to set the base context to variables.user i.e.
baseContext=':variables.user'
And in workflow I had to preface variable names with the name of the object I checked the view out into.
What I really wanted to know how to have multiple views open in a form if possible. I'd like to be able to manipulate user and role objects in the same form when editing users in a specific org.

You have to create item text field or select list (in interactive report is select list, you can create static value for example 10, 15, 50 , 100,500,.....) . In the Tabular form you have to go Report Attributes, search Number of Rows (Item) and select your item. And thats all. If I help you please check CORRECT or Helpful.

You can just simply edit to each column's report attribute. For example,
To set default date,
Default Type: PL/SQL Expression of Function
Default: sysdate
To set default text,
Default Type: PL/SQL Expression of Function
Default: *'CLERK'*

For your scenario, you need to have two cellVariant as TableStandardCell (say successTSC & failTSC). Add tableCellEditors to these 2 TableStandardCell as you like. Mark there variantKey property as var1 & var2 respectively.
Do change the cellDesign as you like the color for the TableStandardCell.
Bind an attribute selectedVariant to your column selectedCellVariant property.
Now in wdDoModify you can write:

How do I find out what row is being deleted in a Tabular Form (SQL Query (updateable report) )?
I have a process to delete records from another table when the record in the report is deleted. I need to capture the primary key to pass to the process that deletes the record from the other table.

Hm,
The best thing is to do this using triggers before delete. Looping through the list of checked checkboxes is not an optimal solution. If the standard MRD process fails for whatever reason, your delete process for the rows in the other table will still delte the records with the selected primary key.

There is a possibility in APEX 4.1 to choose two types of "*Execution scope*" first is "*For created and Modified Rows*" and second is "*All Submitted Rows*".

You can still use the scope of For created and Modified Rows and use a PL/SQL Expression condition of:
:APEX$ROW_STATUS = 'C'You also need to change Execute Condition to For Each Row .

How do you query the iTunes database by genre?

I am trying to enumerate music tracks from the iTunes database by genre.
I am able to get genre id's from the query

However the search term applies to all fields and I get a mixed collection of results, many of them are wrong.
I would like to enumerate songs from a specific genre, but I can't figure out how.
I've tried multiple ways of using the "genreIndex" attribute, but I keep getting 0 results.
For example I would like to enumerate the first 10 Techno songs. Techno has a genre id=1050

Hi there are mappings for the reference fields from AP and AR, so you can buid up the links there. Just look at the reference fields of gl_je_lines and try to identify which is valuable for you.

I have a simple BPEL process that accepts an id, uses that id to query a sql server db, get the result set (collection). I need this BPEL process or service to then pass back the collection. I am new to all this and do not see how I can set the reply output to be the collection (all fields in the query) not just a select field. Please give me some ideas on this, most likely simple question.

With BPEL and/or SOA Suite in a web services environment, you always return XML messages. You do not work with collections. You could query a list of records, that will be return as a XML message containg a list of records.
Think that you always work with XML messages.

How do you query the journal drilldown data using SQL

Hi All,
Appreciate if anybody can assist me into querying the database via SQL query so the journal data includes sub ledger detail.
I found that I cannot link the GL journal batch id (etc.) with the existing sub ledger (AR and AP). Is there any way to perform this query, if not, how can the drill down works?
I needed the guidence since there are certain info that is not available in the journal (rct number, PO no, check no etc). I need to ensure that the data I have is tally with GL journals.
Reasons: doing some recon download to be feeded to a third party system.
