How find my iphone 4s

Hi I need to know how find my iphone?

No, there isn't a way to find it. Even reporting to the police they can't do anything. But for future reference if you ever get a new iphone or so make sure to set up a account for ICloud and use the findmyiphone app. But in a way it's useless because if the person that took/found your iphone turned off the phone there is no way to track it before there isn't any Internet connection. Also if you jailbreak your iphone there's a app in Cydia that takes pictures of who ever puts in your puts in your pass code incorrectly and the pic and location sends it to the email you set for it.

  • How find my iPhone -

Hey!!!! i lost my iphone4 from Hong Kong on 13-Oct-2011, it pick pocket from handbag. i made a complaint HongKong Police....Vain!!! can't locate my device. But somebody used my apple ID and made a purchase from iTUNE store. Is there any chance to find it China / HongKong
    Thanks

If you have not done so, and it appears you haven't, you need to immediately change every password for anything you ever used a password for on your phone: email, iTunes, etc.
There is no way to locate your phone.

  • How does "Find my iPhone" works?

Hi, I was wondering if this feature uses push or other persistent connection method that could degrade battery life. Someone knows how Find My iPhone works?
    Thank you!

    Yes, it uses push services.

Unless you have Find My Phone activated, you cannot find it.
What To Do If Your iDevice Is Lost Or Stolen
    iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad
If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if it is connected to the Internet by Wi-Fi or cellular. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:

  • Find My iPhone killed by "wipe" - rock and a hard place :-(

Here is a little story that did not end well, but maybe I am not understanding how Find My iPhone works.  If I'm not, please let me know.
Last week my wife lost her iPhone and so we went through these steps:-
    1. Used Find My iPhone to locate it - but it was switched off or out of range
    2. Sent an alert to the phone requesting the finder call my iPhone's number
    3. Waited for something to happen, checking Find My iPhone periodically, but it was not located
So here is the tough choice.  "Wipe" the phone and destroy the "Find My iPhone" capability OR don't wipe it and maybe expose the data in the phone to unauthorized access.  Not much of a choice.
So we decided to "wipe" the data off the iPhone, assuming that AT&T would still be able to locate the phone by its unique ID.
About 24 hours later, MobileMe sent my wife an email to advise that the "wipe was successful".
So somebody turned the phone on.  We will never know if that "somebody" was willing to return the phone or planned to keep it, because "wipe" ensured that we could no longer communicate with the finder of the iPhone and we could no longer locate it.
On top of that AT&T told us that they could not use the iPhone's unique ID to help recover it, and that if someone decided to put another SIM card into the phone, then my wife's iPhone was theirs, and AT&T could/would do nothing to stop them.
What's wrong with this picture?  Quite a lot, if you think it through!!
Is there anything we could have done better or could do now to get this iPhone back?

The answer to both questions is no, unfortunately.
If someone "finds" an iPhone, all they need to do is wipe it and the true owner cannot use Find my iPhone any more.
Cell phone companies won't track down a missing phone, or help in finding it unless directed so by law enforcement.
Bottom line is that we all have to be more careful of our valuables, in this case the iPhone.

  • Can I tell if someone is using my Find my iPhone?

Today at 2:08 AM I saw the GPS indicator on my phone.
I went to check and got this (see picture) the Find My iPhone had the purple icon which means: a purple location services icon will appear next to an item that has recently used your location
My question is who? it was not me. Is there any way to find out who logged in or from where?

No, you really don't understand how Find my iPhone works. In order for Find my iPhone to know where you are it must use Location Services. If it didn't, when you went to locate your iPhone using another device with the app or by logging in to https://icloud.com/find it would have no idea where your phone was. So it periodically checks your location. That way it can also tell you where your phone WAS, 10 minutes ago, for example, even it is now out of range.
HOWEVER, if you shared your Apple ID you made a big mistake. You should NEVER give your Apple ID and password to anyone else for any reason. Even someone you know and trust. As you did you should change your Apple ID password, verify that your security questions have not been changed. And probably add 2 factor authentication to your account. And NEVER share any password with anyone again.
I have been in the computer field for 40 years. I've had passwords of various kinds almost since the beginning. And I have never told anyone any of my passwords. Even when my IT department needs access to my computer, I enter the password for them. And they understand and approve. After all, they don't want the responsibility if my account was ever compromised.

  • I made my own apple id because my family was getting my texts from other people. I want to add my device to my dads find my iphone app on his icloud but can't figure out how, without having to log in to his apple id on my phone. how do i add my device?

I made my own Apple ID because when I was logged into my dad's my family was receiving my texts from other people. I want to add my device to my dad's "find my iphone" app but without signing into his Apple ID on my phone because that was causing them to get my texts. I was told by Apple I could add my device to his by signing into icloud.com but there is no option that I can find to add my device. And I don't want to log back in to his.. Any ideas???

Also when I apply the safety copy it only imports the app the phones have had in common, so none of the apps that only the iPhone 4 had doesn't come in, only the ones I and the iPhone 4 has had in common. So you say the only way I can use the Apple ID to download on the old iPhone 4 is if I delete the apps that are in the phone and then download them again? How will that change the ID to download/update from. Won't it still have mine to update/download from?

  • How do I add a device to Find my iphone

I cant find out how to add a device to the find my iphone app and need to

    Setup Find My iPhone

  • How can I get all my data back after erasing my iPad from find my iPhone?

What happened is that I have 2 iPads . So I deleted the two from "find my iPhone" so  one already got deleted but the other one is still awaiting to get delete. What I want to know is that the one that is not deleted yet is using the same ID as the other one... So I have the one that got deleted and I had to put my ID again and all those stuffs and I wanted to get all my photos back but I couldn'. So the other one has the same ID but already did the backup therefore it's supossed to get all its inforMarion back with the ID but the other one has that ID so how can I get my data back and the one that already got deleted?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you want to know how to restore one iPad from the backup of another iPad. Take a look at the article linked below, it’ll walk you through the restore process which will prompt you to choose the backup that you would like to restore from.

  • My laptop was stolen, and came online. i have an email telling me i can view that location for 24 hours, but i don't know how. when i go to find my iphone it says offline. can i see where it came online and how?

Hey guys. My macbook pro was stolen and i checked the box for icloud to email me when it came online. It did, and says I have 24 hours to vew the location. How do i do this? when i go to find my iphone, it simply says offline again.

    Hi,
I would report this to the police and they will help you track down your MacBook Pro and catch the theft.
They will know what to do.
I would go to http://icloud.com to view the location of your laptop.
    Hope this helps.

  • Is it possible to have your whole family on one apple id or is it better to have each person have there own? If each has their own does each id have to buy their own music and apps? How does find my iphone work with one apple id or two?

Is it possible to have your whole family on one apple id or is it better to have each person have there own? If each has their own does each id have to buy their own music and apps? How does find my iphone work with one apple id or two? also I am going to be going off to college soon should I make an itunes id for my self and how will I get all the music from the old id?

Is it possible to have your whole family on one apple id or is it better to have each person have there own?
Yes, it is possible. 1 apple ID can be associated with up to 10 devices.
If each has their own does each id have to buy their own music and apps?
    Yes, all purchases are non-transferable.
How does find my iphone work with one apple id or two?
Every device associated with one apple ID through Find my iPhone is tied to that Apple ID; Find my iPhone will work in the same way with up to ten devices associated with one apple ID. You cannot enable Find my iPhone for one device across two apple IDs
I am going to be going off to college soon should I make an itunes id for my self and how will I get all the music from the old id?
If you have authorized a computer with the old apple ID, you can transfer old media purchased through the old to other devices via iTunes. This doesn't mean the media purchases through the old apple ID it transferred to the new account. If you plan to make future purchases and don't wish to share them with others, make your own apple ID.

  • HT201441 How do I update my apple ID for find my iphone when it is linked to an old deleted email address that is not recoverable

I recently changed my apple ID after I deleted my old email address which is no longer recoverable. I cannot get the find my iphone app to work. When I log in to try and change my apple id to the current one, or delete the account, it asks me for my password to the old email (apple id). I have no idea how to change this to be current. The password for my old apple id will not work and I am going in circles. When I log into the app and use my current apple id it does not locate any of my devices. They all say they are offline but are not. Any suggestions or help on how to unlink my old apple id to this app??

    Hello Fatboy896,
You may need to temporarily change your Apple ID back, sign out of iCloud on your device, then revert the change to your Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Go to Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap “Keep on My [Device]” or “Delete from My [Device].” In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

  • TS4006 I have several iphones on  find my iphone. How do I know which one is the correct iphone. None of them are labeled Iphone4 or 5 etc.

I just had my iphone stolen from me. In the past I have always set up my phones an ipads on to the find my iphone service. I have never deleted them from the find my iphone account and now I have 3 iphones showing and 2 ipads. How can you tell the difference when none of them are labeled as Iphone 4, iphone 4s, iphone 5, etc. No dates are shown as when purchased so it I can't figure out which one is the correct iphone to put on lost mode and send message to.

Deleting on one device does not affect another device.
You can delete the App's on the iPhone and nothing will happen to the ones on the iPad.
    1.  You don't need to.
    2.  Settings->Cellular->"Use Cellular Data For" will show the data usage for each App since the last statistics reset
    3.  Settings->General->Background App Refresh Will show which Apps are allowed to get data in the background
    4.  It restricts it to Wifi.  If the App requires internet access and Data is turned off, it will have to wait until the device is connected to a wifi network.
    5.  Nope, You just use up battery since the BT radio will continuously look for nearby BT devices.
    6.  The Personal Hotspot uses your cellular internet connection from your phone or other cellular device; whether you consider that secure or not I cannot say.  It also depends on what you are doing while connected to the Hotel's wifi. I would not do online banking while on vacation though.

  • How can I use a different Apple ID for Find My iPhone than for iCloud syncing/storage and iTunes purchases?

I use two different Apple ID's for two iPhone 4's and for iTunes on my PC. I use one for purchases and the other for Find My iPhone on both phones. How can I set up iCloud for both phones using each ID for it's user for storage and backup but keep one ID for purchases and one for Find My iPhone on both phones?

To better describe what I am needing:
    1. - iPhone 1
    2. - iPhone 2
    A. - Apple ID #1
    B. - Apple ID #2
On 1. I need A for purchases and iCloud and B for Find My iPhone.
On 2. I need A for purchases and B for iCloud and Find My iPhone.
In addition, will iCloud store text messages?
