How to close a popup using a function key in adf + Jquery

I want to display some error message using function key so I have used javascript function

This is working fine on click of F4 it is invoking a popup and inside that popup in dialog it is showing some error messages. The property modal of dialog is true. So that user should not be able to navigate to main form until error message is closed.
Now on click of F6 I want that error message to be closed. When I added af:clientListener on popup or dialog type="keyDown" is not available.
So I thought using jquery for this. I have created a form.js file inside that I have written:

I have also added jquery.hotkeys.js and jquery-latest.js file.

On click of F6 I am getting that alert Do you want to close the error message but after that how can I find the popup or dialog and close it?
I am new to jquery still I tried using some code:

popup.close();
and
var output1 = AdfUIComponent.findComponent("p1");
output1.close();
and
curElm = document.activeElement;

But none of them worked.

this whitepaper: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/1-2011-javascript-302460.pdf has an example of registering keyboard keys on a global level (see page 36). So you would define a key to close dialogs in general. The paper also explains how to search and find components. Note that you should always work with the ADF Faces client side API and never against the generated markup or DOM (which in fact your code does)

Hi welcome to the forum. if you want whole number value what does it mean
1. whether you want the whole number greator than or eqaul to that number example for 12.6 you want 12 or 13
see below example
1. SQL> select round(12.5) from dual;
ROUND(12.5)
         13
2. SQL> select round(12.4) from dual;
ROUND(12.4)
         12
3. SQL> select floor(12.5) from dual;
FLOOR(12.5)
         12
4. SQL> select floor(12.4) from dual;
FLOOR(12.4)
         12
floor will always give you a round value which is a integer or whole number less than or equal to but output of rond will differ if the value is greator than 12.5 it will give 13 but if it is less than 12.5 it will give 12, so depending on your requirement you can choose which function to use. similarly if you always want to get the whole number greator than the number you can use ceil as below
SQL> select ceil(12.3) from dual;
CEIL(12.3)
        13
SQL> select ceil(12.8) from dual;
CEIL(12.8)
        13

SQL LOADER: how to load CLOB column using stored function

I am a newbie of sql loader. Everything seems to be fine until I hit a
road block - the CLOB column type. I want to load data into the clob
column using a stored function. I need to do some manipulation on the
data before it gets saved to that column. But I got this error when I
run the sql loader.
SQL*Loader-309: No SQL string allowed as part of "DATA" field
specification
DATA is my CLOB type column.
here is the content of the control file:

How to create depedent lov using groovy functionality

My requirement is need to create dependent LOV on form like, when ever user selects merchant_number, remaining merchant details should default, till now i am doing with valuechange listener. now i wanted to do on vo itself using groovy functionality. i have created merchant VO which is returning 4 values, merchant_number,name,phone,address. i have created view criteria with a bind variable.
In my main vo i have created LOV for merchant_number. added the merchant vo as view accessor and set the bind variable value as merchant number. and with the merchant_name i am trying to setting as XxwfsMerchantDetailsLOV1.getMerchantName(). i am getting error like

Regardin handling exception in a function, while using that function in sql

I have a question regarding logging exceptions while using functions.
I wrote a separate package to handle errors, where i have a procedure.
In this proc i'm logging my error into a table and then raise the error to the front end.
Ex:
proc_log_and_raise    -- this proc... inserts my error into a table and then raisenow i included this error procedure in all functions and procedures.
consider an example with a sample procedure and function.

ORA-14551: cannot perform a DML operation inside a query.
so what i want to do is, log both function and procedure where error occured.
So is there any other better way, we can write our exception handling, so that i can log error and use function in a select statement.

How to execute process chains using planning function

hi, i need to execute process chains from web. i know the steps to that needs to be followed for accomplishing the task.
1) RSPC_CHAIN_START ( function module) into which process chain has to be passed
2) create a planning function to invoke the said function module
3) create a function button on web and assign the planning function.
Now the thing is how to create the planning function in BPS. plz provide me a solution with steps. And how to pass the process chain into the function module and handle it.
