How is the storage managed

Hi all,
I am new to the whole video thing. I bought a new hard disc camera that came with the software to download to its own library (Power Cinema for Everio)
If I want to transfer my videos and photos to Adobe is it all stored online? I know they give you 2 gigs free but does it still store on your hard drive a second time if I transfer from the Everio files to Adobe? I wanted to delete the Everio software if Im going to use Adobe as my video and photo storage. Im afraid if I delete the whole Everio file after its transferred to Adobe, it wont be on my hard drive it will only be partially on the web storage since they only give you 2 gigs free. My videos right now are at 13 gigs so it will eventually cut off tonight (uploading now) I couldnt see anything on Adobe that stored my videos, just the web storage. Any advice appreciated. I am not sure about your previous application. But PSE or PRE both needs your media on Hard-Drive for import. And when you import it does not mean PSE/PRE is keeping a copy of file apart from the copy on your hard-drive. They just keep references...
Now what about 2GB free space on www.photoshop.com?
If you want to keep your files online, you need to mark Sync on by selecting appropriate preferences.

Now if I go to Co03--GOTOWM Pick list , For the component the storage type is notr updated automatically
I compared with Materials for a TR was created & found that Storage type 100 was updated automatically

Thanks for your inputs . Actually I forgot to mention that the client is not using Storage type in any of the material master data
The problem was because the control cycle was not maintained for the combination of material /Plant & Supply Area

There is an option to pass all the paramters except those who changes from
system to system.
for example,
if you are reading from a file from the directory: <SYS>\CREMAS_<TS>.XML
when <SYS> is DEV or QAS or PROD, and <TS> is time stamp,
you can create channel template that read file with file pattern CREMAS_*.XML,
this can save you a lot of work, however, parameters that are diffrent in every system, (in this case the directory DEV,QAS,PROD) you must enter manually in every system.

Newbie: How does the security manager work with EJB?

I am new to J2EE and do not seem to grasp how the security manager (or J2EESecurityManager) works with EJB.
My bean does security-senisitive stuff (like getting the Policy object) and must not do so unless I give it permission in the policy file. So far so good. But the permission will only work if I grant it to ALL code, like:
grant {
permission java.security.SecurityPermission "getPolicy";
Beans do not seem to have a protection domain or code source/certificates attached to it. so I cannot say
grant "/file/sw/ejb/myejb.jar" {
permission java.security.SecurityPermission "getPolicy";
Why is that (probably because beans run remote)? But more importantly, how DO I set permissions based on which bean it is?

have the specified permission.I thought so, too, and that is why I went digging for the code source of my bean (i.e. where is it deployed, from where is it loaded) but that source is NULL:

The code seems to have no code source (null) and no signatures (in fact, I also signed my code with the keytool but that certificate did not show here either).

Whats the storage management software for CSM200

We have two node sun cluster using CSM200 storage and running out of space in shared filesystem. So we need to increase the space and there is no free space in metaset.
In this case, planning to add disk in storage. We are unable to find the management software at OS level Solaris 10.
Anyone please help me how can I find the free slot in storage?????

CSM200 - is expansion for array 6140/6180/etc.
But format report SUN-CSM200 for array *Sun StorageTek[tm] 6140 Array*
You can have one array + expansion or 2 undepended array.
For manage this array use software Common Array Manager ( CAM ).

This software can was installed on any system on your network. Possible ever on nodes of the cluster.

The FTP protocol: How does the AE manage inbound packets?

I've noticed the following with resect to how the AE handles NAT port forwarding for the FTP protocol.
1. Forwarding for FTP service seems to only work if the WAN port is 21, e.g. map 21 -> 21 works, 2121 -> 21, does not work (packets seem to be dropped at the AE). However, such a restriction hold with other services such like ssh or openvpn.
2. When ftp packets are received by the LAN server, they have the IP of the client stripped and arrive at the server with the WAN IP assigned to the AE, as indicated by the logs. Again, other services that we are forwarding to the server arrive with the correct client IP. So this is only an FTP thing.
The AE seems to do some analysis of incoming packets and treat them differently. One question:
Why does the Airport Extreme do this, and apparently only for FTP packets?

I found a workaround by changing the port my FTP server listens to from 21 to 2121. I then set the AE to forward port 21 on the WAN side to 2121 on the LAN side. This allows the server to know what IP the client is connecting from.
I'm still curious why the AE strips the client's IP when you forward to port 21 on the LAN side.

How is the MySite Manager value configured?

Hi - I havn't setup a mysite personal site in sp2013 yet but I need to find out - is the Manager value (used by the My Site Clean up timer job) still based on the AD property as it was in SP2010? Or is it prompted for during personal site creation?

The manager user profile property is still synchronized from AD via user profile sync just like it was in SP2010.

On my 3GS, in Settings, under About, in Diagnostics and Usage, go into Data and see how gigantic the storage is. How can I delete this data? 5.0

How do you delete the usage data in Diagnostics and Usage?
It just keeps piling up. There is an option to send this data to Apple but I don't and have no intention of doing so.
I just want to delete the data.

What I've done now is moved my music folder into a different folder to keep it safe, I've deleted my iTunes library, ie on itunes highlighted all and deleted. Then gone to iTunes media folder and checked they are deleted and they are. Now whatever done is put my music folder back and checked preferences and it says keep a copy of file in iTunes etc. also keep folder organised is on.
So now I have started afresh I have both my music folder and iTunes folder which hold the same songs.
So what do you recommend I should do to be able to delete the music folder and just have one folder of songs?

BIA Storage Management Server

I have got one question about BIA architecture, because I can't find any information about the "Storage Management Server" in connection with BIA
What is the "Storage Management Server" and is this constrainly necessary (or is it part of the EVA)?

Good document, however for a short answer all this server is is a smal DL 380 server with a special version of W2K3 that runs special software to manage the little eva that ships with your BIA. This server does nothing else. A waste of a machine if you ask me as you could run the software on an existing server, but it is required by HP so you have no choice but to get it (it should be included as part of the overall pricing). If nothing else you could use to store your MP3 files as well as manage your EVA

In tcode U have to enter Transaction code VL01N
Transaction variants field just Press F4 to get already buid transaction variant else u have to create the ur screen variant by clicking the button named Create in Below menu option .
If the variant already exist -> enter
u will get the data in the lower half of the screen , select the transaction Variant with field for storage location , generally datais distributed in delivry doc at header and item level so for storage location u have to take the one with item level data .
There u will find the all the fields which are there in Delivery doc at item level with check boxes in front of them please goto storage location field and check the check box saying output field ( This means this field will be display only) Save and try and create the delivery again.
This will be display only in VL01N

Storage Manager on NT locks up against 8.0.5 on Linux

I have created a linux oracle server that seems to be
working quite well. I have had little trouble managing the server
from the UNIX side. I am using Net8 to connect from my NT
machine that I do most of my work from. I have installed the
Oracle Client for NT on my machine and can connect to my Linux
Server in the standard ways. However, every now and then when
I,m using one of the Oracle management tools the tool freezes and
locks up. Often I will have to go into Server Manager on the
linux side and kill the user session to get the server back to
normal. One place it seems to happen with regularity is when
using the Storage Manager and browsing through the tablespaces.
The first tablespace I look at usually pulls up but the next one
just hangs Storage Manager and I have to end the task.
Has anyone else experienced similar behavior?

I seem to have fixed the problem by creating a new temporary
tablespace on a separate harddrive and deleting the old one.
Go figure.

Satellite L555-S7008 - cant install Intel Storage Manager for Win XP

I have installed XP on my laptop.
Everything works fine except that I cant put it into Ahci mode.
I Installed xp under compatability mode because I am supposed to be able to install the sata drivers by running Intel Storage Manager.
I have tried the version on this website as well as one from Intel, and they both stop with the error
"Your computer is not does not meet the minimum requirements for this software".
I have also gathered that I can extract the drivers from this package, and install them manually,
however when i try, it say drivers extracted successfully, yet nothing is extracted.
Can someone please help me get the Storage manager to install so I can run Ahci mode.

You will need to set SATA to AHCI before including this to the Win XP setup.

Hi, I have a problem. I removed the Vista, installed XP but cant install the Storage manager drivers.

( http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU ) has only an readme, web, pdf and an application in the down archive. now i presed F6 than S and now i am getting " setup could not find a floppy drive on the machine to load oem drivers ... esc or exit...

Storage Manager Installation and OES2

I'm attempting to install Storage Manager on SLES10 SP3 64 bit and running into some problems. I've come to the conclusion that it requires OES2, but I have no idea what OES services I should install. Does just the base installation work or is there a set pattern I should follow? I'm pretty new(really new) to Linux, so any help is appreciated.

The Storage Manager documentation[1] doesn't specify but I would think,
since NSM is a storage-related product, that you'll need NSS and NCP at
the very least. Selecting these components will auto-select some others
(eDirectory being one).

If enabled, iCloud Photo Stream ensures all new photos are sent to all your devices. Then you can simply add the ones you want to each one's Library, and delete any photos you don't want.
One technique is to designate one device as the "master" containing all your photos - probably your iMac, since it is likely to have the greatest available storage - and make sure you have a backup strategy for it. That way, any photos you choose to keep on your iPad and iPhone are redundant copies that can be deleted as you wish, or as required should you need to restore your iOS device. If your iMac breaks and its Library irretrievably lost, the importance of its backup becomes critical. Therefore, consider having more than one backup, and more than one geographical location for them.
