Hello! I have had a very frustrating experience with Comcast customer service and billing department and my service hasn't started yet!! I am afraid I will have to cancel or opt out of your services.On Monday I contracted an online offer. Here's the screen shot of what I contracted. I tried to click on the blue letters "pricing & other info" but nothing will pop up never, so I was not able to check the "little print" that usually hides extra fees or anything. Go to your website and tell me if anyone can retrieve that info, from Chrome in my Galaxy Light phone, I couldn't. On Tuesday I receive the confirmation of my order, but the details of my bill say something different from what I contracted!! Here's a screen shot of the order confirmation. Now, as I took screenshots of the steps it took me while I was contracting the service, here's the info of what I selected. I remember I choose self installation and the cheapest shipping and handling, but I thought it wa going to be free too, as the one that was $29.00 something was the expedited shipping. Today, I needed to set up my username and password and choose the papaerless bill so at 11 am I called the number 1 855 230 4264 they said they could not help me and sent my call to other number, they helped me with the username and password and sent my call tbilling department so they could give me info about the carges on my confirmation email. The lady that picked up was super rude, first she said that I contracted the service at a comcast office, which I didn't, then she said some nonesense and ended up cutting my call and sending it to somebody else. I ask for her supervisor or manager and she told me he would be able to talk to me. Put me on hold and I had to wait more thatn 15 minutes for somebody to pick up my call again. The man that picked up, asked how was my day and since I said that I was not as good as I would wanted to, he put me on hold again and picked up 5 minutes later. By then I was very super angry >:-( but I needed to finish this matter of knowing how much do I have to pay every month, so I tried to be patient, maybe a little sarcastic at a time. He started to give explanations that were not right, cause I answered with the info that I had. Then finally he said he had the offer I purchased and that probably it was shipping and handling what i was paying for, but he couldn't say if this was going to be my monthly statement or not. He sent me to somebody else that was supposed to tell me this, but the man that picked up told me my monthly statement was going to be $54.** plus tax!! Even worse!! He didn't knew about the online offer or whatsoever. Please people!!! All I want to know is if this $60.** was a one time charge or my monthly bill. The state tax is around 10% in TN so what I expected to pay is $55.00 tops Who am I supposed to ask if neither your customer service or billing departments have the information??????? In the U.S, the data plan would likely be $20 -30 per month in addition to your voice plan.

Single App subscriptions
Full Cloud
I suspect you'd either have to take out a Single App subscription for Premiere Pro on its own or a full Cloud membership (and cancel your PS+LR subscription).

BOGO on phones released two months earlier, way to screw valued customers...

I am sure that I am not alone in the fact that I purchased two Droid's X2 phones following their release on May 30th, 2011 only to discover that TWO months later they have Buy one Get one FREE. Thank you Verizon for telling all your customers to wait 42 days (18 day price protection would put it at 2 months) to receive a free phone with your purchase of a new release. Might want to tell your marketing sector to re-evaluate their decisions to offer a deal like this when you have valued customers that paid full price less than 60 days prior. I was three days out of the price protection plan, I am curious to hear about others that lost out on a sales representative telling them that there would not be a deal like BOGO for quite a while...

How much pain does registering two Oracle Testing Id Cause to everyone?

Reading the forum over the last 8 months or so seems apparent to me that if a candidate has two (or more!) Oracle Testing Id's and takes exams under both then problems will result as certifications will not be generated untill all pre-requisite passes are under the same Oracle Testing Id. (For those having taken exams under Prometric their Oracle Testing Id has been set to their old Prometric Id.)
the pain this caused in the old Prometric days is mentioned on the Oracle Certification Blogs Here [http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/2008/09/one_plus_one_zero_when_it_come.html] (dont follow the procedure there .. its out of date).
The procedure for sorting this still remains a merge, however now through Pearson VUE. The procedure is not directly on Support FAQs [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=82#5Q1A] though would indirectly be covered by (I have not received my success kit what do I do?). The procedure required is however authoratively mentioned at {message:id=3923313}. However as can be seen in the rest of the thread {thread:id=991553} there appears to be occasions when some Pearson Personnel VUE appear to not realise they are responsible for initiating the merge and sometimes the merge man may be on holiday (or maybe off on stress through the number of merge's perhaps?)
Thus the candidate with two Oracle Testing Id's has a possibility (maybe even likelihood) of pain further down the line in getting it sorted. But as far as I am aware it is usually sorted ... though it may take a while. Pain to Candidate.
Oracle and Pearson VUE have pain through this as well. There is a support cost dealing with the Oracle Testing Id Merge. Not just in authenticating and performing the merge but also when the query comes as a problem but the root cause is found to be multiple Oracle Testing Ids. While this does give support teams an opportunity to perform the net effect is increased costs for Oracle/Pearson VUE - which means reduced profits or perhaps more likely increased exam costs for everyone - in other words a pain for everyone.
Basically no one wins on this.
Why does it happen? I'll exclude why people have had multiple Prometric Id's (Oracle Testing Id's) for exams taken under Prometric. What was done under Prometric has been done.
However under Pearson VUE why might this happen?

This is a blatant mistruth. I suspect some people may rush to get regsitered and take the exam and or care about the registration details; or are happy for it to be sorted afterwards rather than getting the Oracle Testing Id. Sorted now.
HOWEVER:
- There needs to be a further email just in case they has the wrong button selected by mistake, so after registering the fact there has been no oracle testing needs to be confirmed. I believe, because of form design, there may be a signifcant chance of this happening.
- There also needs to be indications that if two Pearson VUE Oracle Accounts have been created then subsequently different exams have been passed on each then merging will incur a cost. This is just slopiness by the registrant.
If the people answer yes; but make a mistake in the Oracle Testing Id, they hopefully that would be picked up.
IF people answer yes, but leave the Oracle Testing Id blank, hopefully Pearson is on top of getting it sorted and not let the issue propogate. The effects of leaving this blank as unclear to me, and I hope good procedures are in place for handling it.
There is also IMHO a big issue here that it is not obvious from this page that canididates should enter their old Prometic Testing Id here.

In summary I believe people having mulitple Oracle Testing Id's hurts us all, and to prevent this I would suggest a charge for merge where a candidate have incorrectly siad they have not done Oracle Testing before and where they have a had clear chance to correct this in the event the relevant form radio button has flipped without them noticing.
But I also believe Pearson VUE could probably do a couple of minor changes to procedures, pages and boilerplates to reduce the chances of problems occuring. I think some problems could be stopped before they start.

(1) Any pages referenced are by myself from UK at time of post. Sometimes from other countries they can be different

I'd just like to add to this that one poster {message:id=4029960} appears not to have given a Oracle Testing ID when registering with Pearson VUE and that Pearson VUE appears to have located it for him. I assume he indicated he had tested previously and presumably his profile details matched those held by Oracle from Prometric. This appears to be a single (unverified) instance of this working correctly; and the candidate not ending up with multiple Oracle Testing Ids'.

Your contract is with your service provider - it has nothing at all to do with Apple.
You can buy a contract free and/or unlocked iPhone from Apple and use it with whatever carrier you wish. Your contract terms with your current service provider remain in effect for your iPhone 4s though, so if you cancel with them (or port your number out, which accomplishes the same thing) you will owe them early termination fees and so forth.
Even if you pay full retail but want to use the phone with your current service provider, you are still obligated to complete the terms of your existing contract.

Why do I have to guess how much data I might use in a month when I select a plan?

When I sign up for water service, I don't guess that I might use 1,000 gallons a month, and then pay three times the going rate for water if I take a few extra showers. I get charged for how much water I use that month.
When I sign up for electricity service, I don't guess that I might use some set number of kilowatt hours, and then pay three times the going rate if we have a heat wave and I run my air conditioner for a few extra hours.
Why do I have to guess how much data I might use, and then spend three times the going rate if I stay up watching youtube videos for a few extra nights?
It is stressful to have to constantly monitor usage, and figure out ratios of how much I've used compared to how much time is left in the billing cycle to see if I need to curb my usage. It is not a good customer experience. I would prefer that data be charged a flat rate based on actual usage, perhaps with an option to throttle speeds at certain levels to prevent cases where a minor lapse in judgment could ruin my monthly budget, like forgetting to check data usage religiously on a device meant to simplify my life.

Simple answer is Verizon is offering a block of data for usage.
Where I live the water bill states my wife and I are being charged for 30,000 gallons per quarter/half and the price is say $60 however we never use any where near that amount. I send the meter reading in and it shows the amount we use. But the hamlet we are in has a set amount of gallons. Not fair but we live with it.
For your data outside of the unlimited which is not available any more to new customers you may be a light user and never go over the 2GB for $30 dollars a month. If you do you will pay through the nose for data. If you pay for more data say 4GB and I don't have the price for it so lets say its $70 then you don't have to watch as much for overage fees. But you are paying for the data in advance so as not go over and get hit with whopping fees.
It is just the way it is.

anyway i am a heavy downloader so was wondering is there a way i can see how much ive downloaded over the month does the router tell you anywhere? had a quick look but couldnt see anything.

Hi grantsmith82, I can't understand your point. You say you are on "UNLIMITED" Infinity and then because you are a heavy downloader want to know how much you have downloaded.

The only restriction is P2P Protocol(torrents). These can be heavily throttled at peak times.

Hi, I'm really interested in purchasing a new ipad with Verizon service - does anyone know how much this will cost per month? Also can you go month to month? I would prefer an annual contract but researching all prices. I would be curious whether you have other lines with Verizon. If so, do you have a smartphone? Are you on the Share Everything plan? If you have a smartphone, would you be using the iPad when not near the smartphone.
I ask these questions because quite often a wifi only iPad would be sufficient. For the most part, I use my iPad when wifi is available. When wifi is not available, I provide data to my iPad via the included hotspot on my smartphone on my Share Everything plan. There is no monthly fee for my iPad, but if I had a cellular iPad, I would be paying $10/month for access.

How do I total expenses per month

I am using the check register template in numbers. I added a table to calculate a running total of expenses per category per month. I can get the table to keep a running total of expenses per category, but have not been able to add the per month value. How do I add that part into my formula. Specifically, my formula so far is =SUMIF(Transactions :: $Category,A2,Transactions :: Amount). Now all I need is to add the month value so I can see how much I am spending per month per category.

hello i just found out my area will hopefully go live around middle of 2014 to get fttp at my house does any one know how much it cost for installation fee for fttp? do you get your own non shared fiber optic cable only you that use it? and do you get 300 meg download and 30 meg upload how much is it normally a month is there unlimited packages ? any info would be apreciated

I think it all depends wether Openreach have either installed FTTP in your area (rather than FTTC) and that your exchange is FTTP or FTTC/P enabled or if they have installed FTTC with FTTPoD (Fibre to the Premisis on Demand) in your exchange area.
Your exchange Padstow (WWPADS) is a designated FTTC/P exchange (meaning FTTC will be available in someareas within the exchange area & FTTP will be available to some other areas within the same exchange area)
This means that if your property is in the area that has been upgraded with FTTP rather than FTTC then, I don't think the FTTPoD installation charges apply as the fibre infrastructure is already installed and in place to your nearest DP
Eithern though you maybe in a area that has FTTP (not FTTPoD) rather than FTTC you can still choose to have Unlimited BT Infinity 1 (upto 38mbps download & upto 9.5mbps upload) or Unlimted BT Infinity 2 (upto 76mbps download & upto 19mbps upload) rather than choosing to have one of BT Retail's faster Infinity (Fibre broadband) services (ie either upto 160mbps or upto 300mbps).
