How system determine target cost ?

Dear experts,
we use moving average price control for in-house production parts, when we finish one production order, I can not see any target cost from cost analysis.
Can you tell me how system determine target cost ? for moving average price control , is that mandatory for variance calculation ?
BR , Shubin

Hi
Target cost is calculated based on released Standard cost estimate
What you are doing is wrong.. Follow S for In House Made items and release standard cost estimate before GR
Maintain Target Cost Version 0 in IMG for variance Calculation

  • How to arrive target cost

    Dear All,
Can some one explain  how to arrive target cost in cost center accounting, how it is differentiated compare to actual cost, appreciate if some one explain with one example.
    thanks
    rambabu

    Hi,
The costs that are expected to arise in connection with the performance of a particular activity.
Target costs are calculated using the planned costs for the cost center and the planned costs for the activity to be performed. The target costs are then compared with the actual costs for the period.

  • How system determine delivery date in sales order

    Hi, sap gurus
I am new to sdn forum please help me regarding my question
    1) how the system will determine delivery date in sales order
    2) what are factors effects to conform sales order stock
    3) what is different between static check and damanic check in credit mgt
    Thanks and regards
    nishad

    hi,
Reg question:1 - System determines the Requested Delivery Date based on the Scheduline assigned to the item category of the item in sales order.the schedule line in the order transfers the requirements trhu MRP (can be individual or collective) . If its ruch order , you configure the order type "Deliver Immediately".
    In Detail:
The TOR depends on the Requirement Type (MMR), Requirement Class(MMR), Checking group(MMR) and the Sc line category (Line Item). For the TOR to happen u need Plant at line item, scheduline category markd for TOR, Requirement Class marked for TOR and Checking group in MMR (Availability check)
What all stocks need to be checked during Availability check is controlled by using the checking rule.. for example for AV -02 Ind Requirements a checking rule will be assigned and this checking rule- and then what all stocks need to be considered to determine the delivery can be maintained here.

  • (DBT_E001 Translation of Purchase Value) How system determines this value?

    Hi gurus,
I am selling an security after the same i am doing TPM18 afterwards system posts gain or loss on sale of security.
now to determine the gain or loss system derives a purchase value by using DBT_E001 update type. difference between this and sale price is treated as gain or loss based up on the situation.
in our case we are having this mutual fund from year 2007 and we are buying and selling this frequently then how system calculates the purchse price which is shown in DBT_E001.
what is the correct procedure of selling the security?
    Pl. Help!
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sayujya

    Hi,
Once you have posted the sale flow, then if you reverse the purchase flow, then the earlier profit/loss will be automatically reversed and a new profit/loss will be calculated.
But in your case, you cannot reverse the purchase because the sale units will become more than the purchased units if you reverse that purchase.  Check the no of units is sale transaction, whether it is correct.
Hence system will not allow you to reverse the purchase.  So you have to reverse the sale and then reverse the purchase and after that reenter the sale with correct number of units.

  • How to determine a cost center based on a storage location

    Hi all,
During material movement or stocked purchase, I need to determine different cost center by storage location. Therefore, i can't use OKB9 because the plant criteria is not enough.
Is there any user-exit or another solution i can implement to solve this problem?
    Thank you for your answers.

    Hi
As i said earlier, you can use MSEG itself in your substitution rule.
    For  Ex:
    Pre- requisite
BKPF-BUKRS = 'XXXX' AND BKPF-AWTYP = 'MKPF' (and anyother criteria that needs to be applied)
    Substitute
    Field - Material (MATNR)
    is substituted by "EXIT"
Create your own exit here & give your logic like
    If MSEG-LGORT = '0001'(your storage location values)
    then BSEG-KOSTL = 'CCTR1'.
Let me know if you need any further details.

  • How to determine target for links in search results

I've created an autoquery custom search portlet.
The search results are by default showed is this portlet.
The text items which are found display a link to their content.
When clicked, the content is showed in a style different from the page on which the portlet was placed, and at full screen.
How can I force the content to display on a page of which I can determine the style and layout?
    Thanks,
    Ton

Unfortunately there's no way to do this directly at the moment although this functionality is planned for a future release.
However, its possible to acheive the same effect by using procedures associated with the Text item type.
To learn more about this, navigate to the Shared Objects page group, click on "Item Types" and edit the "Text" item type. Click on the "Procedures" tab. The help on the screen has information about creating custom procedures to render information associated with the item.
Also see a Body text in custom search results to this forum.

  • How system determines Valuation strategy in PP order confirmation.

    Hello Experts,
i have maintained in valuation variant for valuation variant 006 and 007 strategies are 1st  standard price  2nd moving price and 3rd plan price.
We have maintained two prices in material master one according to price indicator That is V in our case for eg 1000 per ton and other price which is standard price For eg 1200
Now while creation of production order my planned price according to valuation variant 006 is picking 1200 for a ton which is perfect  but while doing confirmation and saving my production order system is not picking the strategy defined in 007 which same as 006 and its should pick same 1200 instead of 1000 but not happeninng
kindly reply as soon as possible
    Regads
    Naveen Chawla

    HI
The System will take either Standard Price or Variable price but it will not take the values at time even though u maintain both the prices in material master . if its is taking the standard Price than your material may be Semifinshed  or Finished good s
For Semifinished & Finished Goods --- Standard price is taken into consideration
For Raw Material - Variable price is taken into consideration ,,,,
Varable price is not consideration of HALB&Fert as in the the priceses are updated by the variable price inthe raq material when we perform Costing Run ...
    Hope this may help u

  • How to determine estimated cost of dynamic SQL queries before execution?

    Hi Performance Gurus,
Does anybody need know of a function module or program which can give me an estimated cost for a given SQL query. SQL query is a dynamic query and we need to know the estimated cost before we execute it.
    Cheers

    Hi,
The mentioned function module does not give you the cost but the plan.
    On DB2 e.g.
U Explanation of query block number: 1   step: 1
D Query block type is SELECT
S Performance appears to be bad
S No index is used. Sequential tablespace scan
    E Method:
    D           access new table.
D           data pages are read in advance
D           pure sequential prefetch is used
    D           new table:
    D                       SAPD8M.DD02L
D                       table space locked in mode:  N
    D           Accesstype: sequential tablespace scan.
I think there is some information that could be used as well (cost figure transformed to text)
S Performance appears to be bad
S No index is used. Sequential tablespace scan
But as already said: the whole requirement is quite strange...
I'm not aware of any other options, sorry.

  • Engineer to Order Scenario-Target Costs and Stock Valuation

I have got a query  pertaining to Engineer to  Order Scenario. A production order has been created with WBS element as the account assignment .Its a valuated project stock scenario, with configurable material. As per SAP standard behaviour  and my limited knowledge, the Goods Receipt for FERT/HALB happens according to either of the four strategies:
    •     Standard Price ( if there exists one)
    •     Customer Exit COPCP002
    •     Sales Order Cost Estimate
    •     Preliminary Order Cost Estimate for prod order
However ,I have come across a case where although a preliminary order cost estimate exists for the production order, the system is not able to determine target costs. As a result the entire variance is posted as remaining variance at the time doing a variance calculation on the production order. Moreover at the time of Goods Receipt for FERT material, the system passses an entry Price diff A/c -Debit to Cost of Production, instead of debiting Inventory  and crediting cost of production(Price Control is S, no standard price exists for the material)
    Thus my query is :
    1) In case of Engineer to Order Valuated Stock Scenario where prod order is created with reference to WBS element, how is the standard price (or target costs for version 0) determined
    2) Under what situation at the time of goods receipt ,will an entry " Price diff A/c Dr & cost of production-Credit will be posted, instead of  Inventory A/c being debited?
    Awaiting a reply
    -Regards
    Amit Kulkarni

    Hi Amit
the easy answer first: The standard price is just taken out of the material segment without WBS assignment. That means if you maintain a standard price in the accounting view of the material master for the material number + plant that will be the fallback to be used. That will at least reuslt in a inventory posting, instead of pure price differences (against a price of zero)
Why your production order cost estimate could not be derived I cannot say. But he first startegy will be to search for the cost estimate to the WBS. Is there not something in the project system to perform a project costing and save it? in that case that will be searched and used for the order target cost and inventory posting.

  • Target cost for a Production order

    Hi
How to get Target Cost for a production order?
    Thanks
    Naga

Well Naga, Right now I’m on HR implementation , but I programmed same kind of requirement two years before , but I got planned cost and actual cost .
I also notice “cost analysis" the cost is not exact , it wont read the value from KP26 of that particular month .
Here I am talking about 4.5b system.
You can find the sales order ref on production order, and your production order is made up of your different kind of material like scarp, raw, semi-finished etc
Here are the steps I followed .
1- I read the material which you can see in material component on production order in Co03.
After that I take the qty and also multiply by the cost at which machine is posted .
I have that programs, as I need to find out . I’ll post you later .
But you have to read the tables afko, afpo, afru, caufv, cost ..etc
Do you see information structure I refer you , If i am not wrong this CO3 ( cost analysis ) report use report painter ( Tr.Gr51,Gr52 ) . you can also see by going in to said transaction which information structure its populating . This’ll also help you.
    Hope this’ll give you idea!!
    <b>P.S award the points.!!! DOn`t forget :)!!!!</b>
    Good luck
    Thanks

  • Target cost in COR3

    Hi All,
In COR3 --> Costing Analysis how is the target cost and target quantity. The variances are calculated and the order is TECO. We are having a huge variance between Target/Actual and unable to find.
    Rewards for the correct answer.
    -- Syed Abid Hussain

    Hi Syed
Target cost and Target qty is the pro-rated standard qty for the actual output
Eg: If your Standard says 100 Kg of Input for 90 Kg of Output, and You manufacture say 60 Kgs, then your Target input qty would be 60/90 * 100 = 66.67 Kgs
Any variance between target qty and actual qty is variance.. Why variance is high you need to investigate... See in which material or in which activity the variance is high and question your shop floor guys for the same
Or may be your standards are wrong in which case also variance may arise...

  • How to determine the target system during runtime of a Generic DS?

    Hi Experts, good afternoon.
I am coding a Generic Extractor using Function Module. I have to select the field TIMESTAMP on table ROOSPRMSC. To do so, I need the value of RLOGSYS that is the BW system that is calling the Extractor.
Do anybody knows how to determine via ABAP the RLOGSYS (Remote Logical System) during the runtime of the Generic DataSource Function Module?
The table ROOSPRMSC keep the TIMESTAMPs values of the last delta upload for each DataSource and for each BW target system. As I have 2 BW's loading data from the same SAP ECC system, I need to know, during runtime of my Generic DataSource, the actual system that is requesting the delta. That's the reason why I need to know the BW's logical system name that is "runnig" the delta InfoPackage.
    Plese, help!!!
    Thanks in advance!
    Leandro Vani

    Leandro,
The calling program of your FM should have a local variable I_RLOGSYS which is populated with the BW server ID.
If you don't know how to access a variable in a program that is in call stack using field symbols, search SDN.
I haven't tested this, so you may have to explore a little.
    Good luck.

  • BAdI: Determine Target Object in BE System

    Hi all
We have recently done an upgrade to SRM 5.0 and I realised that the BAdI for determining target object is different.
In the EBP 3.5 system in the SPRO, the BAdI name was BBP_TARGET_OBJECT. It seems that the BAdI name is now BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE.
Can anyone confirm that I can no longer use BBP_TARGET_OBJECT and must switch to BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE?
    Thanks.
    Nicholas

    Hi all/Christophe
I have found the BAdI but it seems that it is very different from the old one. Furthermore the documentation also seems to be old.
In my implementation, I want to be able to change a Purchase <b>Order</b> to a Purchase <b>Requisition</b> depending on some checks.
    I used to do it by setting <i>ITEM_DATA-OBJ_TO_GEN</i> = '2' and clearing <i>ITEM_DATA-AGREEMENT</i>, <i>ITEM_DATA-AGMT_ITEM</i> and <i>ITEM_DATA-FIXED_VEND</i>.
To perform my check I used to need <i>ITEM_DATA-MAT_GRP</i> and <i>ITEM_DATA-QUANTITY</i>.
So far I can only find <i>FIXED_VEND</i> and <i>QUANTITY</i> in the new BAdI.
Anyone with any ideas how to handle this?
    Many thanks
    Nicholas

  • How the target cost/ actual cost was done

    Hi,
When we run the report KKBC_PKO for the material for the last period 10/2009.
system not showing the Target cost but it show the Actual cost values.
When we look the MB51 -Where production confirmation (backflush) and GI/GR happened for the particular period. It wa not happened.
If production confirmation was not done. how the Acutal cost is calculated.
What is basics to calculate the Target /Actual cost

    Raj,
Without Confirmation / GI or GR, the actual cost cannot come. Why dont you check double click the cost records and see for yourself as from where the costs came.
