How to access an External LDAP on a weblogic server using OPSS APIs.

Hi,
Can anyone let me know how I can access an External LDAP configured on a weblogic server using OPSS APIs( or alternative APIs).
I'm currently using the below snippet and I'm getting only the Users and groups from the DefaultAutheticator on the weblogic server and not the external LDAP Server.
I've verified the providers, users and groups on the weblogic server console and can see that external LDAP server content is being picked, but my below code does not query them.

To use Active Directory for quick testing with Weblogic, you can use either Suns Sun One Active Directory Server or OpenLDAP which is an open source LDAP. We use OpenLDAP on unix and configure this with WLS. All our users are in OpenLDAP. Try googling around like "OpenLDAP Download" or "Sun One Directory Server" etc. All these are LDAP sources with very minor differences (Some extra attributes here and there). Configuration wise all are same from WLS point of view. We define LDAPs Host, Port, admin useranme/password, User basedn and Group basedn. These are minimum things we need to know upfront.

i have configurated a LDAP server using iPlanet and

server. but how can i get all the users in my program
from weblogic server instead of LDAP server?
BTW,how to configure a RDBMSAuthenticator and what should i do
in Oracle? which tables should i create? and how are their architectures?

How to make integrated weblogic server use log4j

I use Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6, WL 10.3 on Win7. JDK 1.6.0.3x64
I tried to configure for 1 day during according to guides and informations on net. But i can not make it works unfortunately. Just after i start wls, encountered this:

i copied log4j.jar, wllog.jar into my %DOMAINHOME%\lib : http://www.2hotfile.com/image.php?di=BYB3
Even i copied commons-logging-1.0.4.jar and com.bea.core.weblogic.commons.logging_1.4.0.0.jar files into the lib folder and then i set CLASSPATH accordingly, result was negative.
I added these lines into startWeblogic.cmd

I resolved the exception; Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 was setted up on my pc as well. That was the cause of problem. System was looking some paths on 11.1.1.4 server folders that belong to 11.1.14 version.
Now, created server log which i defined in log4j.xml but no log line found in file, nothing logged according to log4j.xml config file and wls still writes its own log into its own log file which is under $domain_home$\servers\DefaultServer\logs\DefaultServer.log. What might be the reason?

This option is not in advance settings for other email providers.

You have to actually have another email account with a email provider. Whether that is your ISP or one of the free/paid email providers like Gmail, Yahoo, MS Outlook.

I need to access the external application from portal. My basic need is, when user login with SSO, the user automatically login into my external applications also. my external applications are not web based applications.
Thats why, i am thinking to provide a link to my external applications in a portlet. When the user clicks that link after sing-in SSO, then it automatically login into the external application without asking the password. Is there any way to do that.. Can anybody help me it is urgent.... If u find the code also mail me to: [email protected]

In a portlet that is written in jsp, i need to access another page which is running in another server.I will explain what is my requirement clearly.. In a portlet, i have to acess a page from another site, and i have to pass username as a parameter directly. If i use URL-Based Portlet with passing parameters, It ask the user to enter the parameter and submit the page.. But it wont satisfy my requirement. As u said, access as External application, then it also asks the user for authentication when user access first time. That also don't want.bcoz we integrating that external application into the portal, and all the users existing in portal also does not exist in the external application. thats why i use to send it username as parameter. and i thought place the url in a portlet and ask the user to click it. But, it comes under security issue, the url may copy and place in another syster to access it....Then How does i proceed for it...
Can anybody help me.. Its URGENT....

We have a web application developed using ADF Faces, Trinidad & BC4J. The application runs fine on Oracle JDeveloper 11g (11.1.2.1.0). When I deploy the same on to remote weblogic server 10.1.3 and I access the jspx page I get the below exception:

It looks like there is some issue with the datasource. I have created a datasource WebApplicationDS with JNDI name jdbc/WebApplicationDS on the weblogic server.In the application module I have changed the datasource from java:comp/env/jdbc/WebApplicationDS to jdbc/WebApplicationDS before deploying on to WLS. With the current setting if I run from JDeveloper I get the same error.
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

How to read XML file kept on NON-SAP server using the Http URL ?

Dear Experts,
I am working on CRM2007 web UI. I need to read a XML file placed on a shared server location by a third party program. Then process that XML file into CRM and create a quotation using the data extracted from the file.
All i have with me is the http URL that points to the location of the file.
I am supposed to read the file , create quotation and at later point of time i would be asked to update the quotation and then generated new XML representing updated quotation and replace the XML file on shared server location with this new updated XML file.
I know how to extract data from XML file into ABAP but i have no clue as to how to access the file on some other server using the http url i have and how to read it ?
I searched on the forum and i found the codes for reading XML file that is located either on client machine OR on the Application server wheareas my file is on some other than sap application server.
Please help me as its an urgent issue .

to request the file by a http call you need to create an if_http_client object.

to parse the file you either have to work with the ixml packages ([info|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/47/b5413acdb62f70e10000000a114084/content.htm]) or you use an XSLT transformation ([info|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/a8/824c3c66177414e10000000a114084/content.htm]).
uploading the final file isn't so easy. if you only have http, you should write a server script to allow uploading of the new file and copying it into the place of the old file. but you definitely need the script.
now it's your take. depending on how experienced you are in ABAP and networking this might turn out to be easy or pretty complicated.

Problem is this statement does not execute, as when I try it directly on command line, it requests for a password. Any suggestions on how I can get rid of that? I think I might have to configure my ssh_config file, but when I did some "Googling", I found the configuration settings of a ssh2_config file. I tried those (changing it to Host-based Authentication), but it didn't recognise them. Please help, this is so urgent!

Don't use Runtime.exec (or ProcessBuilder) for this. Check out JSch at JCraft (or some other Java SSH API.
