How to access servlet only via specific port?

Hi all,
I have an app with 2 servlets, I want each servlet to be accessible via a different port.
so I open HTTP on my web server, on port 80 and 18080, but now BOTH servlets are available via BOTH ports.
how can I make sure that servlet 1 is accessible only via port 80, and servlet2 is only accessible via port 18080?
tnx

Run two servers.

  • How do I restrict access to JSP or servlet only through SSL Port

    Hi
I want to restrict the access to few jsp and servlet only through SSL port,
so how can I block the acces to those jsp and servlet through normal port??? We
    are using weblogic 5.1.
Any help on this highly appreciated.
    Aruna

    Hi,
To restrict access(56 bits or less). follow the below steps.
    1. Go to your Webserver instance ServerManager
    2. Click Preferences Tab ------> Encryption Preference
------> There disable "DES with 56 bit
    encryption and MD5 message authentication."
for SSL 2.0 ciphers or SSL3.0 Ciphers. Which ever
    needed.
    3. Save and Restart the Webserver instance.
The above steps are for 4.x version.
    Thanks,

  • How to access calendar rules via java

    Hi to all,
We have a process in which we need to set a Timer, but the date must be validated against Calendar Rules. We searched in forums, webs, documentation and we couldn't find a way to do this.
I know it is possible to set an expiration date based on Business Calendar on a Human Task (deadline tab in Human task editor), but this is not what we need.
We actually need a way to set a variable date in the process that can handle only business days. e.g.: 'now' + 2 business days.
Right now we are setting the Timers with this expression from a Business Rule: Duration.from string("PT48H")
Then I associate the business rule output with a Time type variable(deadlineTime) doing: 'now' + deadlineTime
So right after that I can use the Time variable on a timer attached to the human tasks I need. * We need to use business rules because the customer may want to change the times accordingly to their needs through BPM Composer. *
The problem is that this solution does not take into account Saturday and Sundays (holidays are a concern too).
We need to set the expiration time to timers attached to human tasks, but the time should consider working days only. We consulted with experts from Oracle and told us that functionality is available in the PS 6 version. At the moment it is impossible to migrate to that version. I need to know how to access via Java APIs to the calendar rules for checking programmatically.
    JDeveloper version: 11.1.1.6
    Any suggestion?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Yarner,
Once you have all your dll included in a jar and used the nativelib tag, you have to use, at the beginning of you application, the command System.loadLibrary to load all the dll you need. Including the ones called by the others you have direct access.
The dlls have to be explicitly loaded in the order they are called.
For example: you use lib1.dll and lib2.dll. The lib1.dll needs lib0.dll.
Even if you don't use lib0.dll directly, once its called by lib1.dll you have to put then in the order.
    System.loadLibrary("lib0.dll");
    System.loadLibrary("lib1.dll");
    System.loadLibrary("lib2.dll");
I hope it may help you, good luck.

  • How to access a query via MS Access?

    Hello BI experts,
we created a query in BI 7.0 and activated the option "Release for OLE DB for OLAP" (=ODBO). It's no problem to access this query via MS Excel 2003.
But now we have the requirement to access this query via MS Access 2003. Is there a way to do this?
MS Access 2003 has no ODBO driver. Only connectivity to ODBC is supported.
Has anyone of you a solution?
Thanks in advance and best regards

    Dear Dieter

  • How to access Servlets in WLS examples

I am trying to access Servlets stored in myserver/servletclasses/examples/servlets

In Weblogic 5.1, each example (souce code) in $WL_HOME/examples) comes with a very
good and detail instruction. Read these instructions will definitely help you

  • Why can't I access the internet via ethernet port on my Airport Express?

I have an Airport Extreme base station and two Airport Express units. The Extreme is connected by ethernet to a BT Home Hub (BT is the internet provider). The network works for all the other computers that have Airport cards BUT I want to connect a Mac Mini (no airport card) by ethernet to the Express, but no matter how I try re-jigging the settings on the base station and Express, it won't connect. Mac Mini WILL connect when wired directly to the Extreme base station, so it's not the port. Also, I have been able to stream iTunes to the Express units so they are functioning in that respect. What am I doing wrong or not doing? Do I need to set up a WDS? Is there a bridging mode? Do I need to have a relay? Surely internet via the Express is possible!

The Airport Express units are the A1088 variety. The Extreme is A1354. Originally I set up the base station to create a network and got the Expresses to 'join network'. However, since that didn't work, I dug a little deeper and investigated WDS and bridge settings. The base station wireless mode is 'Create a network'. I selected 'allow this network to be extended' and made sure that the channel used was the same as the Express units. I have set up one Express to be a WDS remote and one to be a WDS relay on the same channel of the same network with the same password. I have specified the MAC address of the base as the main and the other MAC addresses in the appropriate places for the Expresses. I have tried selecting the 802.11b/g radio mode manually as well as in automatic. Access control is off for all units. I have tried the base station connection setting on 'Off (bridge mode)' and 'share a public IP address'. Am I just missing something?

  • Catalyst 2960S-LPS-L PoE only on specific ports not working

    Hi,
we have Catalyst 2960S-LPS-L (48 Ports) here which in general works fine.
If i connect a Cisco Access Point (2602), it´s powered up via PoE, but on some ports this is not working; it just doesn´t power up. The port configuration is exactly the same. I rebooted the switch, but still the same.
Any ideas how to troubleshoot this? Is it possible, that the PoE capability on some ports is just broken?
    Thanks

  • How to access servlet objects from OA page controller class

    Hi everybody!
I need to put some value into servlet attribute in OA page controller class to read it from ordinary servlet later.
How can i do it? Is it possible to get HttpServletRequest and HttpServletResponse objects from page controller?
    Thank you.

I have a servlet which receives uploaded files with special attributes (something like tags for file) using POST request.
This attributes created when user open page in standard OAF page via page controller.
On client side I have an applet which uploads user selected file to my servlet and passes this file attributes.
Now this attributes passes as plain text. I want to encrypt this attributes to hide attribute details from user. To do this I need to share some information between OAF page and my servlet.
I know that OAF supports URL encryption, but to decrypt it I should use standard pageContext object.
But in ordinary servlet I can't use it.

  • How can I share only a specific playlist with another family device?

I purchased an iPod Touch for my Dad for Christmas.  I am trying to share only a selected playlist with the new device without synching everything that I have on my iPhone and iPad to his device.  I have turned on home sharing but can't figure out how to limit the automatic sync that kicks off when I plug the new iPod into my PC.  Any suggestions?

    Hello roaminggnome
Unfortunately the support is down at the moment, I will have a better look later. I did go though the Apple support previously, however I found nothing that worked.
The first thread I came across was “Home Sharing” however no mater what I did, it did not appear in the iTunes sharing list (I did go though the “Show Sharing Networks” support as well)
Secondly, I saw “Using A Single Library With Multiple Accounts On The Same PC” (Something like that) but all this did was let us share the same music location, if I was to rip extra music, it will not show in there library

  • How do I open up a specific port in the Application Level Firewall?

Currently, my system blocks port 2336 and I want to open this up. To be precise: port 2336 is listening on the local system, both on 127.0.0.1 and its 192.168.x.x address, but no client on the LAN can connect to port 2336.
IPFW and PF are not running. When I turn ALF off in System Preferences, I can connect to port 2336 from a LAN client. So ALF is blocking port 2336. How can I open this up?

Linc, thatnks for the reply. I dived into this a bit more and studied the setup of the ALF. I find it confusing, on the one hand it is mentioned in the packet filter firewall setup in /etc/pf.anchors/com.apple:
    # Application Firewall anchor point.
    anchor "250.ApplicationFirewall/*"
OTOH, such an entry is nowhere to be found on my system and the ALF command socketfilterfw somehow seems to suggest it is a socket filter and not a packet filter and that it is indeed working at a different level, namely the level that decides which executable is allowed to listen on which socket (port).
I am trying to find out what program is being started when I connect to port 2336 (service appleugcontrol according to /etc/services) so I can enable it with socketfilterfw. But I can't find out which program I have to enable.
I can turn off my ALF altogether, but I am used to running a firewall on my system, even if it is behind a NAT and ports are not as easily reached from the outside. I want my internal network to have some security too. In the 10.6 days, that was ipfw. Now it is PF which is off by default. I tried IceFloor to manage the PF firewall (so I can turn the ALF off) but the result was negative. Whatever I put in the settings, it blocked about everything.
The reason I want to open this port is that without it server-side file tracking for mobile home sync does not work and mobile home syncing by clients becomes very slow. Server-side file tracking for mobile home syncing requires that the FileSyncAgent on the client is able to create a SSH connection to port 2336 on the server. But as it stands now, ALF is blocking that.

  • Af:autoSuggestBehavior How to fire it only after specific char count.

    Hi,
In our application we have a input text with af:autoSuggestBehavior. When the user starts typing a small drop down come which displays the result. The client requirement is that the drop down should not come(appear at all) till the user types first 3 chars.. Is it possible ?. if so please let me know how

    Hi,
In the auto suggest method that is present in the backing bean we are calling the model layer only after 3 characters. In the UI we get a drop down saying no match found say when the user types less that 3 chars. Can we avoid that?.. Can we some how hide the drop down till the user types 3 chars..

  • QTSS how to access outside a firewall without port 80?

    What works: rtsp://brightmarkllc.com:80/stream.sdp
    What does not work: rtsp://brightmarkllc.com/stream.sdp
This suggests that external DNS are routing to my server correctly and when I specify port 80, all works well.
I have port 554 open on my router (NAT-enabled) and directing to my server (just like port 80). I followed notes to editing the streamingserver.xml file to place my fixed IP in it. That didn't help. I also have a range of UDP ports and port 7070 pointing to my server. The Firewall on the server is open for all of these ports.
I'd like to be able to run a streaming server alongside my webserver. Utilizing port 80 (as per above) kills the webserver.
I do not see any info in the Access log for QTSS that shows failed attempts or anything.
Note that from a machine inside my network I can access rtsp://server.my.home/stream.sdp which suggests my internal DNS is routing things correctly, too (I think).
    Thoughts?

Similar situation here. We are setting up our new server with the blogs, wikis and podcasts piece. We would like to have some the videos that the teachers put up as streams. When we are in our network, the streams are 100% quality. When I try from home, I got about 20%. I was going to chalk it up to bandwidth until I stumbled on to something. When I vpn'd into the network from home, all the streams played at 99%-100% quality. This removed the bandwidth issue completely. Our server is setup with a NAT address and the following ports are allowed from the external to the NAT:
    554 (tcp & udp)
    8554 (tcp)
    7070 (tcp)
    6970-9999 (udp)
    Anyone have an idea?

..it will help accessing flash drives, memory cards..etc..the data transfer port which is now used in the iphone can also be transformed.."my main idea is to access flash drives"...im sure tat apple engineers r brainy enough 2 come up wit this concept in some other way...

Firstly, you will have to buy more equipment as the Express doesn't support extra drives.
If you can use BTMM, then the Time Capsule is good, or the AirPort Extreme. However, these don't offer a web interface to access them, or a way of accessing them from iOS.
Synology NASes might work, or if you want to mess around a Raspberry Pi. Possibly even a Mac mini if you have the cash to spend.
