Guys
im using a flex 4.5 to build an application however for the first time ever i came across something i just can't seem to wrap my head around. Typically i wwould use the link button for this but now i actually need to insert a link within text. in other words like html i would do <p> this is me testing <a href="http://www.adobe.com"> </a></p> Im stuck. can someone point me in the right direction. Im in a bit of a time constraint and all i want to do is take a string variable and do somehting like
public var string:String = <a href=www.yahoo.com> yahoo</a>
and add it to my text area as a link.
any ideas?

Did you mean to have quotes around that phrase?

then he must add information in order to continue registration or push OK to confirm registration and let oracle grant previleges to the new user, a trigger can insert the new informations to the user_table_traces.â

I have an application written in PL/SQL that sits on top of an Oracle database. I want to know how add a password/login feature to the application. In other words the user can go to a certain URL to access and use the application. However when the user clicks on a certain link that is restricted, then the webpage displays fields so that the user has to enter a username and password. In order to access restricted features of the application such as ADD, UPDATE and DELETE.

How to add vertical stroke to between top menu items?

I have a horizontal Spry menu bar. How to add a vertical stroke between menu top items?
BUT NOT outermost left and outermost right. Only to BETWEEN top menu items.
In html file I tried this:

Hello Luca,
unfortunatelly it wont work. A WDA Application does not have access to the Floorplan Manager for XSS Applications. So until SAP develop an interface, you have to stick for such a task to WDJ.

Frankly, ANY link can offer a drop down.
Take a look at this turorial.
That will get you your dropdown menu. So you have that.
Now, on your top menu (or any level where you want to have an image instead of text do this:

The documentation says that
The Portal Favorites iView contains a freely definable list of links for direct access to items that you use regularly. This can include the following:
●     Portal pages and iViews that run as full-page applications
●     Documents, folders, and other items in KM repositories
●     External items, such as Internet pages
So we can't do it for Roles.

How to add third-party libs to Java WAS for my Webdynpro DC?

Hello all,
Here is my scenario:
I have some thrid-party libs(some jars) which is necessary to my Webdynpro application. It is ok to add these files in the webdynpro project's classpath. But because these jars are missing on my server, somy webdynpro app not works.
Could anyone give me some proposal for this kind of problem? How to add these jars to the J2EE server and access them in the webdynpro project?

Hi Deyang,
Also add these jars in the <b>lib</b> folder of your WebDynpro application. Open the application in the <b>Navigator mode</b> and there under the folder structure you will find the lib folder. Copy and paste these required jars in this folder as well.

How to add a clickable url

Hi All,
Could someone please help me on how to add a clickable external link to a 'mixed char' field on a PeopleSoft page?
The link should be able to be entered in an instruction field on a page(by a super user) and then the same page should display that url as a clickable link for the end user. (I mean the url is not already embedded in the page for it to get displayed - which I know should be done on the field level setup in application designer)
I tried the html version with TEXT and the simple version of the url http://www.sitename but it shows up on the end page as a simple text and not as a web link.

I tried your suggestion, now the instruction field identifies the link but it is still not 'clickable' on the end user page, it shows up as a html text.

It shows up on the end user page as plain text:

Could you please let me know how I can have this displayed as a clickable link? (I have added lots of " " for this page to show how it actually looks)

I have a super role S1 which has two sub roles R1 and R2.
I have two schedulers running. When scheduler-1 runs, I want role R1 to be added to super role S1 and the role R2 to be removed. When scheduler-2 runs, I want the role R2 to be added and role R1 to be removed from role S1.
Now my question is...how to add the sub roles programmatically to super role?

Hi Shilpa,
sounds like you want to provide users with different content at different times. Have you ever heard about PCD Filtering? PCD Filtering allows you to hide or show parts of the content using arbitrary filter expressions. I guess you could also implement a PCD filter which filters content depending on the current time.

You need to ues the text tool from the toolbox. Simply click it and put it on a location you would like to create a text layer. Once created you can use the selection tool to move it around.

Hi sunil,
Create a JSPDynPage component(C) having 2 hbj:link whose hrefs point to these 2 iViews(A and B). U can get the href of the iView by previewing it(for A and B). Create an iview from the par component (C) and add it to the DLN so that it shows the links to ur iViews(A and B). U can make the Show Tray property of this iView (C) to false.
